I went to the Bridgeport game this Saturday and was checking out the game-used jerseys for sale. Saw one with the old sound tigers logo on the current blue/orange template and in great condition, so I decided to pick it up. I had no idea who the player (Pastujov) was.

After doing some research, I saw he was a late round isles draft pick in 2016, went to Michigan, and signed with Bridgeport in 2020. But here’s the kicker – he never played a game for them! At first I was annoyed, seeing as it was sold as a game used jersey, but I’m curious how common it is for a player to sign with an AHL team and be on their roster, but never play (injuries not withstanding)?

Seems like a cool oddity for the collection.
