Holy overpay..
I don’t think any of us have any idea how good this guy is going to be, could be great, meh, or trash and I still feel like I wouldn’t be surprised with any outcome

Did you know that we are always the smartest guy in the room?
Fuck me – do something unexpected once. Please.
If he throws one pitch he’s worth more than Cobb at least
Looks like Zmack’s skinnier little brother…
Can’t wait to meet these excellent new pitchers that Harris got at Winter fest since he knows he fucked up disgustingly bad last season!
Oh wait…
Hasn’t kbo been shown to be about equivalent to triple A? So he dominated high minors level talent. Am I missing something ?
Omg what?! 7M? 😐
Potential 5 guy, or depth. Cool. Let’s sign big dawg now
A 31 year old pitcher who previously pitched in the MLB with a 6.50 ERA…. We are going to be terrible next year.
lol $7 mil? Incredible. This dude was in the tigers farm system last year (2024) and nearly walked 6 per 9. 😂
This isn’t a serious team
I bet MLB hitters will be flummoxed by that 93mph heater.
I don’t mind this as a rotation depth signing. Maybe he has the potential to be a back-end arm, which would make the deal great, and a good enough one if he is a serviceable reliever. It isn’t the splash we’re hoping for, but it’s still worthwhile.
Rather have JV back.
Oh wait, Harris won’t even pick up the phone to call him because he only wants “his” guys on the team.
From glancing at bbref seems like a move that could work well. His mlb stats are bad but the last few years he’s been solid statistically in the KBO. Has only given up 108 runs over 287 innings in two seasons. Sub 3 ERA in just under 300 innings is enough to take a flier on as rotational depth and a long relief arm
Erick Fedde had a 2.00 ERA in KBO and came back to post ERAs of 3.30 3.11 and 3.72 in 62 MLB starts over the next 3 years.
Merrill Kelly had a 3.86 ERA in 4 KBO seasons. He’s had several sub 4 ERA seasons in MLB since.
KBO pitching success can translate. If Anderson puts up an ERA anywhere around 4 he is worth 7 million easy.

Good numbers in Japan. Hopefully, it translates.
