Craig, what do you make of your team’s performance tonight? Solid game. Goalie was good. Um, I thought, uh, overall, I think we did a good job. They, they’re, you know, obviously a talented group over there and, um, you know, I think we did a good job of limited limiting them of real real high quality chances. Um, thought our checking game was good tonight. Guys were talking about the middle of the ice. what led to the success kind of clogging that up for you here? Yeah, structure. Um, I think you know, just defending the middle of the ice against them. Like we talked before the game, it’s a very good rush team over there. Uh, we wanted to keep it to the outside as much as possible and I thought we did a real good job of that. And um, you know, it wasn’t a high event game, but I’m okay with that. There’s it’s always physical in these two teams. Maybe it was last year. like what do you think carried over from maybe last year and and and the physicality from that to No, I think that I I you know I think that that team plays hard. I think you know Coupoops Coup’s been there a long time as teams compete and um you know we talked about being physical and competing tonight. Um we had to we have to that’s how we need to play and um our guys did a good job. What’s your opinion on the max? That’s a tough one. Really is. I mean, I got to look at it more closely, which I didn’t like on on our view on the bench. I couldn’t really see it too well. So, I’ll take a look at it, but I don’t I I mean, I had a tough time with that to be honest with you. How’s Dakota? Well, that’ll be determined tomorrow. Um, couldn’t come back. What do you say I mean Dennis in the last three games but also the whole season like what he’s done for you guys? What he’s been able to bring in a Well, I think what what I see in net is he’s trusting his ability and his size. Um and you know staying pretty calm and cool in net. That’s what I see. Um you know puck plays been good and u but overall his um his mindset is really good. Troy had a pretty big play on the goal line to prevent that goal from going in. What stands out about the impact he’s had since joining the group? Yeah, he’s bring he’s brought a lot of compet competitiveness to our team and um pace, you know, he skates and moves out there. Um like I said, he doesn’t try to complicate the the game. He’s a simp, you know, first pass guy, but his pace and his competitiveness has been really carried over to our whole team in my opinion. What was your view on the hit that injured Dakota? Well, that’s a knee. I mean, it’s I think it’s a good call. Fiveminute major. On the subject of penalties, how big was it to just take the one liner and keep those? Well, no, that’s important. We, you know, we talked about discipline and that, you know, that’s going to be important. I think, you know, we we checked with our feet tonight was a big part of it and we were disciplined that way. Um, because, you know, their power plays, it can be dangerous. more confidence right now. Yeah, he’s a confident guy whether he’s he’s always been I mean I think he’s doing some real good things out there. Um obviously a young guy like that um there’s always things to learn and be better but overall his game is good and he’s doing a lot of good things for us.

This was playoff hockey tonite. IF the Leafs can get to the playoffs and play like this they can do well. Just got to hit the net more with shots!!! Leafs skated well tonite and moved the puck well. Cudos to the Leafs for the effort!!!
Best defensive effort of the season, and Hildeby looked solid once again. However, the pp still looks awful. Gotta get that figured out asap.
9 appearances by Hildeby so far, including 5 starts & he's at 2.15 gaa & .936 save %. Small sample size, but if he can sustain it then maybe he's your #1 given he does not have the apparent fragility of Woll or Stolarz. In his last 5 appearances (3 starts) his save % is .983 which is unsustainable, but really impressive. Very curious to see if he can maintain his outstanding play.

Good game, boring as hell though.
For God's sake get a good enforcer who can skate. Reaves was a good enforcer but had no legs. Watching other teams bully the Leafs all night long is very frustrating.
I don’t really understand how anyone can say leafs played a good game. They got lucky on the 1st goal,
then held on for dear life. They squandered chance Affer chance even missing rhe empty net multiple times. I’m watching this team and asking myself? What’s this team’s identity? It seems the leafs are just content going up and down the ice and happy to be doing that. As for Dakota Joshua barely beating a mid Carder what chance does he have against the real men in the division. I’m so disappointed in Treliving and a Berube for icing a soft friggin team. Please explain what Pezzetta is in the minors? Anyone see Auston Matthew’s lately ?
