JPJ is a true #1 corner. Now to fix the run D with Harmon back

Absolute stud
He’s also been solid in run D.

Tomlin knows how to develop
Wasn’t he the one that got cooked for the Likely TD that likely dropped?
Everyone hates on him for the penalties but he’s been excellent outside of that, and I think a lot of the penalties are extremely ticky tack.
I like this, he’s doing well. The bills game is goofy in these numbers though, as they didn’t really throw at him, because they were busy executing the same run play 30 times in a row on us
So fix the run game with a rookie DT. Doubtful.
Just needs to clean up his holding. Ik it’s talked about a lot but it really showed against Hopkins on Sunday and it’s still very common to see throughout the season. If that’s fixed the hes top 10 atleast
Can’t give up a catch if you’re holding

Most of his DPI’s have been ticky tack. He’s been pretty good overall.
no he isn’t. hates tacking as well
Is my eye test failing me without statistics? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with his tackling. In fact I think he does a pretty good job stepping up and being physical in the run game.
Im convinced everyone who keeps complaining about his holding developed that opinion his rookie year and refuse to see the growth. Also that they aren’t watching any other games.
he has seemed significantly better this season than the last two, just from watching the games. he had the one penalty this week, but that was really the only negative play. and that penalty was pretty much bullshit.
I think having Ramsey and Slay here to learn from has been massive for Joey
I can deal with penalties. Missed tackles are a no-no. That’s usually what leads to 3rd down conversions and big chunk plays that lead to scoring drives. Not saying he’s been bad, but you need to make open field tackles.
Once he builds a reputation, the refs will give him a break on the borderline calls. At least that’s what they do with other big name corners.
How many DPIs?
I watched Cooper Dejean get away with murder on coverage last night; if JPJ had been as handsy he would have been flagged 10 times
This tommy fella, how many tackles has JPJ “missed”? I feel like hes normally pretty solid in that department for an outside corner
Looked like he would’ve gave up a game winning touchdown to Deandre Hopkins if mark Andrews wasn’t a moron. He also was the one covering Isiah Likely and got bailed out by a call the NFL has since said was incorrect.
I like him but he’s not a true shutdown corner imo

Guess you didn’t see my tweet on the topic.
Tell this to that [dude in the game thread ](https://www.reddit.com/r/steelers/comments/1pgn3pv/comment/nstizae/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)on Sunday that was arguing that JPJ should be cut.
