People crack me up. We’ve been preaching all season that Coens offense or any new offense takes times. It’s not perfect. Wait until week 10+ . But this entire sub was doom and gloom after a mid season loss and calling out QB trash lol some of you even claimed garbage Bortles was better

Now we are reaping the rewards

  1. People don’t put into account how bad Doug & Urban were. Coen is extremely better

  2. Instant gratification culture.

Daniel Jones should still be a Giant. I imagine they are kicking themselves.

  3. Trevor is still only 26. He’s only been in the league under shit OCs/HCs until this year. This is only his 5th year.

There’s a reason Coen came here. Same with Doug.

  4. I’m not going to overreact to good games against the pathetic Titans and his perennial bitch the Colts in Duval, but our QB play has definitely been trending in the right direction since the bye. Denver will be very telling as they have an excellent secondary.

  5. I think it’s a coincidence that Lawrence started getting better when Coen became more involved with the offensive game planning

  6. Ive been very angry at tlaw this year but looking at the qb messes other teams have, Im extremely grateful for having tlaw. Im glad at the very least baalke knew trevor needed a better situation.

  7. When Trevor’s time in JAX is over, he will be the greatest jaguar in franchise history.

I hope he never leaves and retires an all time jaguar legend

  8. I mean, one thing I have noticed since the bye week is that whether it is a Lawrence thing or a Coen thing or both? There is a decisiveness in attacking the intermediate 8-20 yard range, both up the middle and on the boundary. When it clicked in 2022, as well, that was what was happening, too. Too much short game, too much long game and he finds himself struggling a lot. Lawrence is at his best when he is throwing decisively to guys at just about the sticks, while still attacking every blade of grass. Coen is doing more of what worked during the Pederson era, while integrating a lot more innovative and cutting edge concepts of movement and motion. I think that a full off-season of working and throwing might yield a fringe top-10 QB season out of Lawrence and an overall very dangerous offense.

  9. Everyone always talks about how it takes time for the players to learn a new system, but it also takes time for a coach to learn his new players. Liam has been gathering info, learning what works and what doesn’t for which players, and adapting. He’s starting to find his stride calling plays for this group at the same time that the players are hiring their stride executing the plays.

  10. Coen finally adapted to Trevor’s strengths rather than trying to make him fit a formula. It took half a season, but that’s still markedly faster than previous coaching staff.

Going back to that silly wrist pad also helped with cognitive confidence for the entire offense.

  11. Bro I can’t believe people were saying Bortles was the better QB. Either they are dumb or brand new fans.

  12. I think the problem was Trevor making shit throws. Not necessarily bad reads. That shit sure did stop in the last few weeks though. Super pumped about that as a Trevor doubter.

  13. Trevor earned himself a lot of rightful criticism during the middle portion of this season, but he has really been showing that hes warming up to Coens offense and with the Jakobi Meyers addition I think Gladstone really saved him from spiraling.

If Trevor keeps playing how he is right now I think we have a shot to go as far as we ever have and have a really great shot next season too.

  14. I think trying to feed Travis Hunter had ALOT to do with it. He’s not a complete NFL receiver yet and he probably mucked up a few offensive game plans. Now they’re just prioritizing the QB

  15. Some fans and media don’t realize how bad urban, foug, press, and baalke screwed this kid up. Liam is the perfect coach for him, helping him and keeping him accountable and designing an offense that is fluid and works. Big difference than the previous regimes trevor had

  16. Another layer to this is the footwork adjustment in training camp. When Liam went to Bucs I presume that wasn’t a major component they had to work on.

  17. It’s almost like Trevor got tainted with Doug’s screen based offense and needed time to adjust to Coen’s grip it and rip it offense. Or maybe it was Coen realizing Trevor’s strength is that rip it.

And Coen adjusted his play calling to ease Trevor into a huge change as a still relatively young QB who’s only offenses in the NFL have been whatever Meyer was trying to do and Press fucking Taylor.
