Uh, of course here today, Matt Robinson will be along in just a bit. He’s returning from an appointment himself. Uh, and he’ll be joining me in just a bit to look at the Tuesday NHL card. And like I said, it’s another big card, 10 games on tap. Before we get to Tuesday, actually, before we even get to the recap of Monday, uh, we do want to remind everybody about our live bet. So, like I said, very much looking forward uh to that uh next Tuesday, 700 p.m. Eastern, DM or email uh to join the Betcast next week, and we’ll make sure we get the link sent to you for it. So, excited about that. Uh our final live bet of the year next Tuesday, December the 16th, Christmas party edition of uh the Ice Guys live bet, no doubt. So excited about that. 7:00 p.m. Eastern next Tuesday, our last live betcast for 2025. All right, Monday night, uh it began with the Amazon Prime game, Lightning and Leafs. Well, uh we didn’t get skunked in this game at least, but obviously uh it fell under, way under the total, very lowscoring game. Uh and it breaks a very nice streak we had going with the best bets unfortunately. Uh but we did have Toronto. I mean, that was the one thing we got out of that game was the Leafs getting the victory. We did take them on the money line. That’s now five straight wins over Tampa Bay for the Toronto Maple Leafs. And they did it with defense. Did it with a really strong defensive effort. Um especially in the last two periods where I thought they really clamped down well. And we have to give a shout out to Dennis Hildabby. His first shut out in the NHL last night in that two nothing win against Tampa Bay. And if you look back to when he took over for an injured Joseph Wall prior to the third period in Carolina last week, Dennis Hildabby has now played seven consecutive periods of hockey. The third period against Carolina, the Montreal game, and last night against Tampa Bay. He’s given up one goal in those seven periods. Uh he looks so much more confident, poised, square to the shooter, reading the angles, reading the play well, uh be big in the net, using that big frame of his to really not give much net to the other players shooting the puck. I mean, it’s been very very impressive. Uh uh there’s a reason he got the Hill the Beast nickname, and it was for his play over in Europe years ago uh in a playoff series uh playoff uh round if I’m not mistaken. and he um he’s looked so much better than he did in his previous stints in net for the Leafs in what we’ve seen from him these last three games. There’s no question. So, uh he looks a lot more confident in net and he was terrific last night helping the Leafs get a two nothing shutout win over the Tampa Bay Lightning last night. So, one of the rare times the series history overs do not come through for us in that game. Uh the Buffalo Sabres um they have a track record of not coming through for their backers or their fans and they did so once again last night. Uh seven to four loss to the Calgary Flames and uh that just goes to show you where Buffalo, you know, they get four goals. You think that could be enough to win the game, but no, they give up seven uh last night to a Calgary team that’s not exactly the 80s Oilers when it comes to offense. And uh still the uh the Calgary Flames end up seven goals in that game. Uh it was a very very rough goal for Uka Lucinan. He gets the hook. Uh in comes Alex Lion to finish the game. Uh Dustin Wolf, he gave up four goals and uh but still Calgary getting the victory there 7 to four. Just some atrocious defending. And to be honest with you, UPPL was horrific in that game. And if you look at Uka Lucan and this guy has outstanding numbers that would rival, you know, Ryan Miller and Dominic Hashik and some of the great Saber goalies of the past at home. and he’s been an absolute disaster on the road. There are some sharp home road splits that we are seeing right now with UPPL uh for the Buffalo Sabres. He’s actually not been bad at all. Actually pretty solid at home, but he’s been terrible on the road and and once again another rough road outing for him as Calgary puts the boots to Buffalo there, seven to four. Uh this this next game was a thing of beauty and for once I’m not going to rip on the LA Kings because for once they they treated me well. Uh, and we’ll give them credit for getting the job done. But, uh, this was a clean sweep of the board for me in this LA Utah game. Hit every bet, which was great to see. The read on it was spoton. We said Utah coming off the six-game road trip was going to be a difficult spot. These teams have been very poor in this spot all season long. These six plus game road trips and you return home for that first game. It has been a disaster really for uh the um uh for those teams. And Utah, of course, they get behind early, two- nothing in the first period of that game. Uh, and uh, yeah, they cut it to 2-1 and they cut it to 3-2 when they were down 3-1, but uh, not enough. And the LA Kings get a 4-2 road win. To be honest, LA, they had a pretty steady, sound road game. Only gave up 21 shots. Outshot the Mammoth 2721. Mom’s trip as well for LA. So, you knew they were going to dig in once they had the lead and try to defend and ride that one out. and they were able to do that. But that was just a beautiful betting game for yours truly. As far as the result, we had LA first period f first goal of first period plus 135. We had LA first period money line. We had LA full game money line. We had the over by factor there first period and full game. So it was a a terrific game. It’s uh what really made the night and kept it, you know, uh decent as far as the overall result for Monday night was sweeping the board here with this LA Utah game as the Kings get a 4-2 win. I’ll say this about the Kings. We’ve ragged on them a bunch, but they do play better on the road and they showed it again last night. They definitely have a better uh road record. No question. Uh Detroit shuts out Vancouver 4- nothing uh last night. Um can’t say I’m shocked by that result. You know, Vancouver this we’re going to have to start classifying Vancouver as a bad team. And what do I often say about bad teams off a win? I like to bet against them. I did not do that last night with Detroit. probably should have, but obviously Vancouver was coming off the win against Minnesota uh on the weekend, but they’re a bad team right now. And bad teams we don’t trust to win two games in a row. I’ve said that over and over again. And sure enough, after the Minnesota win, they fall right back down last night. Vancouver getting blanked on ice by John Gibson, who hasn’t even had a great season. And John Gibson puts up a goose egg on the Vancouver Conucks last night. And how about the old man JVR bargain bin special plus 510 from yours truly last night. Uh great to see that cash broke a mini little slump if you will with the bargain bin uh as well which was great to see. So plus 510 cash there with James Van Reamdy for the Detroit Red Wings who got on the board for them in the first period of that game. Uh so that was great to see Detroit getting the shutout win there against Vancouver. And last game of the night was um you know I think if you’re the um Seattle cracking you’re um you’re kind of disappointed the way that ended up going for you. Uh you know Minnesota had been slumping a little bit backto-back road losses against Minnesota and Calgary. Uh you got Minnesota able to take care of business uh against the Seattle Kraken last night 4-1. Seattle’s just uh you know very very tough tough times right now. You know you see what’s happened to them. Of course they get shut out by Edmonton. They got absolutely destroyed by Edmonton. Then they lose at home to Detroit uh over the weekend and now they lose last night 4-1 to Minnesota. So the struggles continue. You know what’s really really alarming for Seattle is it’s hard for them to score goals. If they’re going to start giving up four goals or more routinely like they did against Minnesota, like they did against Detroit, like they did against Edmonton, they have no chance of winning hockey games. If if they’re going to have any chance, they have to defend. They’ve got to get good goalending. Well, the defensive game has come apart and to cord has really struggled of late and the guy that started last night, you can’t trust him, you know, night in night out, Philip Grubau. So, yeah, there’s problems right now with Seattle and uh like I said, uh there all kinds of issues and if they are if their defensive foundation is going to start crumbling, like I said, it’s going to be very difficult for them uh to win games moving forward. But as Jonathan alludes to, that’s exactly why they have to defend because their top scorers are like 141 and 152 in the NHL as far as uh scoring is concerned. So yeah, problems right now with the Seattle Kraken, but good win for Minnesota uh to bounce back after obviously losing a couple there at the uh on this road trip. And at least they uh get back on track on the road trip last night, beating the Seattle Kraken. All right, let’s turn our attention. Oh, by the way, Pirlo, we have to give him a shout out. He cashed a bargain bin special in that Detroit Vancouver game too. He said Nate Danielson for Detroit plus 650. Guy that is uh an Edmonton, Alberta kid playing the Vancouver Conucks. That was his angle. Doesn’t matter what the angle was. The bet cashed and that’s all that matters in the end. But like I said, it was a great call. So shout out to Pearllo with that. Nate Danielson for Detroit at plus 650 as he got on the board for the Red Wings against the Vancouver Conucks in that game uh yesterday. So, he gets a bargain bin special winner as well uh from that same game. All right, let’s now get into Tuesday. We’re going to have Matt in a few minutes to help me out with the Tuesday card. But in the meantime, we’ll get it going. We’ll start with New Jersey and Ottawa. Ottawa minus 140 home favorites, 5 and a half the total here in this game. These two teams, man, they’re not in good form either one of them. Uh that being said, I think that Ottawa’s in a little bit better shape right now than New Jersey. I just New Jerseyy’s in just an absolute funk right now. Not only five straight losses, but the offense has completely evaporated. I mean, back-to-back shutout losses against Vegas and Dallas and one goal only in that 4-1 loss to Boston over the weekend. They’ve scored one goal in their last three games, this uh New Jersey Devils team. So, it’s been a real real struggle for them to find the back of the net. Uh we’ll see if they can uh maybe get things back on track here uh against Ottawa. Ottawa hasn’t been in the greatest of form though since Brady Kachchuck’s back since they got him back their captain. They’re one and four in the five games since he returned. They lose the first game he came uh returned against St. Louis 4-3. Lose 6-1 at Dallas. They do beat Montreal 5-2 uh on the road last week and then they come back home to start this uh home stand here and they lose backto back uh to the Rangers. The Rangers was a bad spot. We talked about that. We were all over the Rangers last week in that spot. But then lose two to one uh to the St. Louis Blues. Uh a very very disappointing uh result there for the Ottawa Senators, you know, after, you know, it was obviously a tough spot for the uh Senators against the Rangers. But uh a slumping Blues team coming in and Ottawa ends up losing that game as well, two to one. So real tough times. Um, at this point, as far as the total in this game, I can’t bet I can’t get to an over with New Jersey until I see them start to score again. It It’s really that simple. I mean, I’m not doing it. And I’m not the biggest Marstrom fan who’s going to be in net for New Jersey or Allark, but Allmark’s starting to play a little bit better. And New Jersey is just not scoring. And again, four, three straight unders for them. Ottawa here, three goals in the last two games. Their offense has kind of cooled. So, like I said, it’s difficult to get to an over. And then you look at the fact three straight meetings head-to-head Devil Senators have been unders. So this ain’t an over on my card. I can I can tell you that. Um I I lean Ottawa. I was hoping for a little bit better than minus 140. So I kept it a small pregame bet. Ottawa minus 135 is what I got. I think this has to be, you know, Ottawa’s opportunity to get back in the win column because New Jerseyy’s right for the picking right now. So a little small bet on Ottawa minus 135. I will sprinkle on the draw too because I it wouldn’t be shocking if this game finds itself going to overtime and I know Alex who sent along his card. He is on the draw here in this Devil Senators game plus 330. I think there’s a chance we could see this game go beyond 60 as well. We got Matt Robinson in the house. Told you he’d be here in a few moments and here he is. Check out his Beyond the Lines video by the way which he does every Tuesday for uh Wizard Sports picks. Uh Matt, good to see you and uh perfect timing because we’re here with our first game on the board. What do you think here? New Jersey, Ottawa. Yeah, I I do agree with you. Uh this is kind of a tough spot. New Jersey was such an easy team to back with overs, especially at a five and a half for a long time this season. Uh but they just have not, you know, been able to to really prove anything. You know, back-to-back shutouts. You know, I know they didn’t get shut out in their last game, but they had the two straight shutouts, which, you know, we you and I talked it’s like I don’t want to bet him on the over, but we had to with the system play. Uh, and then they failed to get to the over again in that one. So, I don’t know. I I if anything, I would maybe look at a a first period over. Um, I think they’re both I think one I think New Jersey is six and four in the last 10 and Ottawa’s four and six. So, nothing super exciting there either. Um, but again, sometimes with these total five and a half games, you know, I I feel like they get a goal or two in the first and then they kind of slow down from there. So, I don’t know. I I think given that it’s a 10ame card, it’ll be a straight pass for me. I do lean Ottawa, but I think I would have to have them at maybe minus 120 because prior to this dry spell New Jerseyy’s been on, they were playing some pretty decent hockey. They’re obviously still, you know, a 16 and 12 team with a few bad games in a row. So, um, you know, I I wouldn’t be shocked if New Jersey came out and won this game 5-1. It wouldn’t blow my mind, but just given the current streak, I just I don’t know that I see that happening. Uh, so this will probably be a pass game, but if anything, I I would jump on a first period over in this one. All right. Uh, good stuff there. As far as I don’t don’t have a whole lot here as far as player props are concerned. But again, these are two offenses that are kind of stuck in neutral right now. So, it’s not like we’re rushing to bet devil props or senator props right now uh with what we’ve seen from them of late. But, um uh there was I think hold on here one second. I think there was one on the uh Senator side I was interested in here for uh this particular game. But, yeah, but it is like I said, all uh Marstrom as far as goalending that we’re going to see as far as starting goalenders uh for this game. All right, here we go. uh for Ottawa here, the one that I was uh interested in. Oh yeah, we’re going back to the uh Nick Cousins on the top line. Well, that’s it with Stutes and Zederland. Um so Travis Green’s giving this a whirl once again. So like I said, don’t forget last time he was up there on that top line, he scored in multiple games for Ottawa uh when he was put in that spot. So uh like I said, uh Nick Cousins now back up elevation up to the top unit again for the Ottawa Senators. Uh worth a shot here in my opinion. certainly getting that boost up the lineup and you’re getting again the price of around plus 900 at Bet MGM. So at that price for a guy playing on the top line certainly have to give that a look. All right, Tampa Bay, Montreal, we’ve got Montreal minus 120 home favorite 6 and a half the total in this game. Backto back shutout losses for the Tampa Bay Lightning now the Islanders over the weekend. Last night’s loss shutout loss that they were shut out by Toronto. somewhat shocking when you watch the game. Toronto was very good defensively and Hildabby was great, but when you get Nikita Cooerov and Braden Point, both of them back in your lineup and you don’t score, that is a little bit surprising when you look at it. But that being said, um Tampa Bay has had chances. Tampa Bay had a ton of great looks in that game yesterday, last night against Toron Puck just didn’t go in. And let’s be honest, Hillbe was phenomenal. not good great uh in net for the um uh for the uh Tampa for the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. So uh like I said uh when we look at this spot here with Tampa Bay and Montreal backto back shutout losses here for Tampa. Montreal when you look at this team they still give up a little bit too much. Uh they they are riding Yakob Dobish again because of the fact that you know Montbo’s been dealing with a little bit of illness the last few days. So, they are going to go back to Yakab Dobish here in this game. Uh St. Louis coming off a 4-3 loss at home to the uh St. Louis Blues. Uh you look at this Canadians team, four of their last five home games have gone over the total. I think this is a spot that it’s worth taking a shot here uh with another Tampa over. Uh especially when you can get six uh still out there at a couple of books, six over minus 120 at a couple of places. Most books have six and a halfs, but there are still a couple that have the six here. All we have is Brandon Halverson, who’s likely going to, it hasn’t been announced officially, but he’s going to start here. Uh, Brandon Halverson for uh Tampa Bay. And his numbers in the AHL are not bad. You know, 90, you know, with Syracuse. Um, but he has had one NHL start and he gave up five goals in the in a loss to Utah, six to four last season. That’s the only time we have seen Brandon Halverson at the NHL level. So, it wasn’t a great NHL debut, his one and only previous start. Again, his numbers down in this AHL are solid. 2.58 goals against, 901 save percentage. That’s solid stuff, but you’ve got to prove it to me at the NHL level before I’m ready to buy in just too heavily to those uh offensive numbers down there. So, uh you factor into seven and three to the over in the last 10 meetings, Tampa Bay versus Montreal. Uh, seven of the nine meetings, if I’m not mistaken, have had at least six goals as well. Uh, I’m just looking at it a little more in depth. Yeah, that’s accurate. So, we’ve seen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7. Yeah, seven of the last nine meetings have had at least seven goals between these two teams. So, yeah, we missed missed the mark with an over with Tampa last night. Uh, we’re going to go back to the well tonight. Over six here. Tampa Bay, Montreal. The side’s tricky, right? Montreal’s got the situational advantage, the rest advantage. You know, who knows how Halverson’s going to play. He’s got good numbers in the AHL, but he gave up five goals in his one and only NHL start last year for Tampa Bay. Uh, which seems that, you know, we’ll have to see if he can do it at the NHL level tonight. So, that all leans to Montreal, but do I really, and even though Tampa’s on a backtoback, do I really want to fade Tampa off back-to-back shutout losses? You know, and I think if anything, they’ll be better tonight and more cohesive offensively tonight now that Point and Cooerov have that game back from injury under their belt, which they got last night against Toronto. So, I think they could be a little bit more in sync because the one thing I noticed, their timing was off. Point had a couple chances. Cooerov missed on a couple passes that he normally has. That’s a product of being out of the lineup and missing time. You know, now that they both had a game under their belt, I expect sharper, crisper, cleaner execution offensively from Tampa Bay, especially the two stars there, Point Coocher Robov, uh going into this game here tonight. Uh Matt, what do you think here? Tampa Bay, Montreal, pretty aligned. Um not, uh not too heavy leans on either of the sides. Uh I could kind of make a case for both. You know, I do think teams step up when they’ve got um you know, a young goalie, an unexperienced goalie. Uh but how far does that get them? Um you know, I I think this game for me is just an overlook. And I think it’s a perfect I know there’s still sixes out there. I wouldn’t hate taking a six with a little juice. Uh but I think this is kind of a perfect look for a same game special one and a half, five and a half. You know, you’ll get a good plus price since it just barely is teetering into six and a half. So my guess is plus 110 plus 120 on MGM uh something like that if you take first period full game. I know you know both teams are top 15 in the league offensively. They’re both averaging more than three goals a game. So that’s right there on the cusp of of leaning over. Tampa’s obviously top five right now in goals against at 2.59, but that is with Vasileleski in a lot of those games. Uh so I think you know that number is a little bit skewed on what you can expect in this one. Uh, and Montreal still sitting down there 30th in goals against. So, um, yeah, I mean, I I could even make a case here for Tampa just given the price. Um, I could make a case for doing like a Tampa uh, split with the team total. I’m sure it’s a good price to for Tampa to get to four goals. Uh, but I think for me, just to keep it simple, 10ame card, it’ll be first period full game over parlayed. Um, and that’ll probably be my only look pregame in this one. This is another Nick Paul special where he’s had a lot of success against the uh Montreal Canadians that he scored in multiple games against. Nobody scored for Tampa last night against Toronto. So obviously Nick Paul didn’t find the back of the net. Nobody did. But I think tonight the Nick Paul look is worth another shot here tonight in this game. Uh also by the way we look at the um uh both of these teams. Coughfield has got goals in two uh of uh two straight games uh entering tonight. Slavovsky’s kind of picked it up of late. Here’s an interesting one. He’s plus 650. He’s been a lot more active and involved offensively of late from the back end. Lane Hudson for Montreal. He’s actually scored in two of the last five games and four of the last 10 games for Montreal. That’s scored a goal that is. And he’s plus 650 in and around that range to find the back of the net here tonight. So, you know, at a price like that to look at Lane Hudson with how aggressive he’s been from the point uh of late uh for the Montreal Canadians, not bad maybe to sprinkle a couple bucks on that one. All right, Vegas New York Islanders. Vegas Golden Knights, New York Islanders. Uh Vegas minus 140 road favorites, five and a half the total. I’m going to keep this analysis brief. I think from a side perspective, it’s pretty well priced. Vegas and Revenge lost at home to the Islanders earlier this season. Uh Vegas playing pretty well on this road trip so far. New Jersey and the Rangers winning backto back. This will probably be a little bit more tougher uh though because right now I think you got to have the Islanders a little higher up than the Rangers. Rangers can’t win at home and the Devils stink right now. Can’t score. So this will be a little bit more challenging for Vegas. But um lean a little bit to them getting the getting the win. But what I like here is the draw. I think this is a clear draw candidate uh in this game. Uh you look at these two teams. They played to an overtime game uh in Vegas earlier this season. and that game went to overtime. Uh you look at the Vegas Golden Knights, uh two of their last three games have gone past regulation as well. And in the series history, not only did the previous game in November between these teams in Vegas go to overtime, but you had a onegoal game in New York on the island with these two teams last year. You had a onegoal game in and on the island with these two teams two years ago. Now both of those games did not go to overtime, but they were that close to going to overtime. So this is a east versus west too. So very nice draw candidate here in my mind. And I know Alex has this draw on his card uh tonight as well. Total is tough, right? Islanders are not the over team they once were. 8-2 to the under their last 10 games. Sroken who’s going to be in net tonight for the Islanders has been in great form lately. Uh and they are banged up up front. They’re missing of course Kapal Mary. Uh Drew Anna’s day today. So missing a couple pieces up front. Um, so that’s uh, you know, takes away from them at least offensively a little bit. Vegas, like I said, they’ve won four in a row. Uh, they’ve actually got a really good road record. Seven, just two road two regulation losses on the road this year, the Vegas Golden Knights entering this game. So, total is tough. I could see the total going either way, but like I said, the draw, I do like it here in this game tonight. Uh, Al, um, not Alex, Alex, not here. Matt, what do you think here? Vegas New York Islanders. Yeah, I think this is a good draw candidate. I’ll probably ride that with you. Um, I think, you know, especially if Sroken keeps it tight, you know, this might be a one-1 two-2 uh type of game going into overtime. I mean, who knows, maybe a zero zero. Uh, neither team’s trending well to the first period over or anything like that. Vegas was sort of hot there for a while, but I think they’re right at 500, like five and five in their last 10. So, um, yeah, I mean, I I would lean Vegas here. I think if Vegas was like minus 120, I’d probably jump on them. Uh, similar to that first game, I think minus 140, you know, do I think New York can tighten things up, win this game in overtime? Absolutely. Um, I I lean Vegas for sure. Uh, but I just don’t, you know, I would even consider like a Vegas and a team total, but if Sroen plays really well and, you know, it’s 1-1 at the end of the game, then you we we’re potentially losing both bets. So, uh, I think for me, I’ll just take a shot here with the draw. All right, that’s exactly what I’ve done. It’s the only thing I got pregame is the draw here, uh, going into this one. No doubt. Yeah, I like Brett out. That’s a nice little value shot. Plus 450. Of course, I’m going to say Bowman and close shave. Barbashev as I always do on the top line because they’re always good value. Barbashev has scored for Vegas in two of the last three games. I like the Heineman look tonight. Top line. not only top line, he’s been on the top line for a while, but he scored in all three games versus the Golden Knights as Jonathan alludes to. So, uh, for that reason, too, it’s, uh, maybe maybe this is an extra special night to or special reason to back Emil Heinman, who has been a bargain bin favorite of ours, uh, throughout the, uh, course of the, uh, season so far. Uh, multiple times. I mean, Emil Heinman’s actually been one of our, uh, surprise uh, bargain bin finds this year who’s come through for us multiple times. Zakira Schmeid, by the way, should start for Vegas. It isn’t confirmed, but we do expect it to be him in net. All right, San Jose, Philadelphia. Philadelphia, uh, that should be minus 180 on Philadelphia. Uh, minus 180 home favorites, the total here at 5 a half across the board in this game. Uh, yeah, you guys probably think I’m on the Sharks. Eileen Shark, of course, if the Sharks are this kind of price, I’m either betting them or I’m passing. But I don’t know if I’m going to be on them either cuz Philadelphia at home off a home loss to Colorado where they played pretty well against a really good Colorado team. I thought they played a pretty solid, you know, feisty, pluckucky game, you know, against a really good avalanche team uh over the weekend. U Nadulkovich is in Plo and I was going to get to that. Yeah, surprising that Nadulkovich is in, but it’s because there’s an illness for uh Yaroslav Ascarov. So uh that is why Alex Nadulkovich is in now. Nadulkovich is coming off a very good start. He hasn’t had a great year, but he had a great outing against his former team, the Carolina Hurricanes, the last time we saw him, that 4-1 victory for the San Jose Sharks over the Carolina Hurricanes. Now, was that sign of Dulkovich finding his form again, or was that just a one-ame bump because he played his old team? He’s jazzed up to beat his old team and he stepped up and he goes back down and plays like Nadulkovich for most of the year, which has been mediocre. So, that’s the question here in this game. We’ll see. Uh, like I said, lean sharks, but Philly in this spot, I, you know, I could see them winning a little bit. And another thing, too, that bothers me for San Jose is they become one of these teams that off a loss, back them. Off a win, don’t back them. They have not been great off a victory here, this San Jose team, in recent games. And we like San Jose. We like the strides they’re making. We love the young core, uh, Mlin and Will Smith and William and, uh, that great group. But they are, I’m just looking at it right now. one, two, three, f, they’re 0 and four off a win. So, stringing wins together has been a bit of a problem here for this San Jose team of late. So, I don’t love that coming off the the high of beating Carolina. And you got Philly off a loss. And Philly off a loss has been good. 4-0 their last four tries off a loss. 3-0 I should say, their last three tries off a loss. So, Sharks bad off a win. Philly good off a loss. And it’s enough to keep me off the Sharks here in this spot. The bet I made pregame is first period over. I I like that. San Jose has been a very very strong first period over team. I think nine and two or 10 and two in their last 11 or 12 games to the first period over. It’s strong. I don’t love the full game over because we saw with San Jose against Carolina the game slowed down after that opening period. That could happen again here. Um I probably will because it’s five and a half just sprinkle ever so slightly on the full game over, but I I much prefer the first period over here with San Jose and uh Philadelphia. Uh Matt, what do you think here? Sharks, Flyers. It’s exactly the way I’m looking. I uh I mentioned it in my Beyond the Lines episode. I love the first period over here. Both teams trending pretty well to it. Um you obviously mentioned San Jose 10 and two in their last 12. And then uh and then on the other side of the puck, I’m just trying to look down. Philly is six and four in their last 10. But both are also really high to first a goal in the uh first 10 minutes. Philly is nine and one in their last 10. So factoring in, you know, Phillies consistently scoring in the first 10 or at least giving one up in the first 10. San Jose is great to the first period over, I think it’s a great look for that. Uh, I’m on the same page as you. I don’t love the full game over, but at five and a half, I will take a small shot on it. Um, you know, on the off chance we get three in the first, we should be able to get three in the second and third combined. So, uh, I will take a shot there. Um, yeah, I I think I agree with you in the sense too that, you know, a lot of times I’m probably taking San Jose, but just given the spot past games for both these teams, probably going to stay off the the sides here. Uh, I do have a prop in this game that I will mention a little bit later in the show. But, uh, as far as right now, first period over is one of my favorite plays on the card and then full game over, uh, I will sprinkle a little bit. Yeah, I only was looking at the the short-term game log, but Jonathan says it’s 0 and8 for San Jose, their last eight games off a win. So, uh so they have not won backtoback in a very long time. Uh so, yeah, they’ve been win loss, win loss, win loss kind of thing lately. Uh no question about that. There is a great prop that I like in this game. Noah, uh Jonathan using his uh player versus goalender data with um uh Noah Kates. I I agree with that. I 100% love love love and he’s up on the top line now and he scored in back-to-back games for San Jose entering this game. Colin Graph playing with Mlin and Will Smith back-to-back games with a goal now on the top line with you know those two tremendous young talents. Uh and confident now as well with the back-to-back games with a goal and plus 470 out there for him to find the back of the net. So yeah, Colin Graph for San Jose on that top line’s a great great look here as far as uh prop uh that’s that’s in the that’s in the running for bargain bin special for me. I’m just going to say it right now. Colin Graph, there’s another I’ve already mentioned that I’m thinking of for Bargain Bin as well. So there’s already a couple of good candidates here for uh bargain bin special of the night for later uh in the show. All right, next up we’ve got Anaheim and Pittsburgh. Uh we’ve got Pittsburgh minus 120 uh wrote a home favorite, sorry. uh six and a half the total here uh in this game with the Ducks and the Penguins. Uh I think when you look at this matchup here, look, you’re you’re off two big monster wins at home. Washington after getting blown out by Utah at home, you beat Washington 4-3, you crush Chicago. There’s always that element. You go on the road and you get a little bit satisfied. I’m sorry. I can’t I can’t not justify betting Anaheim at this price. They’re better than Pittsburgh. They’re just better than Pittsburgh plus 100. You want to back Pittsburgh with Sheilovs in net. Sheilov’s been a mess. Sheilovs and I like Sheilovs. I like Sheilovs as a goalender, but he it’s not working for him here in Pittsburgh. He has not played well. He’s starting for the first time in a while. There’s a reason Jarry’s been getting all the starts lately because Gilovs hasn’t played well. Gilovs has a 3.85 goals against average this season, almost four. Not good. He struggled. You know, we love what we saw from him at times in Vancouver. We loved him winning the AHL Calder Cup with uh Abbottzford last year. He was brilliant, but he’s not in a good way right now for Pittsburgh. He’s not in good form. He’s lost four straight starts going into this game. 0 and4 Sheils in his last four starts. I know there’s issues and qu and questions and concerns with the other guy, Billy Huso, who’s going to be a net for Anaheim, but I like what Billy Huso’s done the last couple. He’s played well uh in the last couple of starts as well. And not to mention Pittsburgh’s banged up as well, big time going into this game. Now Malcolin’s on IR. And this is not like last year or two years ago where Malcolin’s out and induces yawns and, you know, not much, you know, reaction. Malcolin’s been playing great. He’s kind of turned back the clock a bit this year for the Penguins. So missing Malin is not good. You know, for a team that, you know, lately it’s been a lot more challenging for them to try to score goals. and Anaheim. Now, the question is, can Anaheim bottle up what they did defensively in the last two games? I thought they played impeccable team defense against Washington, and I thought their team defensive game was just as good against Chicago. They did not give either team a whole lot. And if they take that defensive team effort on the road with them to go with obviously all the weaponry and firepower they have and that great power play of theirs, uh, if they take that on the road with them, they’re going to be a tough team to beat on this road trip. I just like this value. Can’t pass it up. They’ve won three straight over Pittsburgh in the head-to-head. Give me Anaheim here, plus 100. I lean the over a little bit, but I’m I’m I I like the way Anaheim’s playing good team defense right now. So, I’m going to sprinkle on the over, but I much prefer the side with Anaheim here, plus 100. Uh, what do you think here, Matt, with this one? Ducks, Penguins. Yeah, I was just looking. I uh I I definitely lean Anaheim here. Um I was going to see Yeah, I’m going to I’m going to split it up, though. I’m going to jump on Anaheim team total over three and a half and Anaheim money line um at plus 100. So two plus bets on the rare off chance. You know, this ends up being a 5-4 Penguins overtime win or something crazy. Uh you at least cash out the team total. But uh yeah, I mean they’ve been playing well. I know Pittsburgh has as well, but um you know, it just seems like a good a good value play for for the Ducks here. Could Pittsburgh win this game at home? Absolutely. Um, you know, I saw the news about Malcolin being out now week to week. Um, you know, they they did get Dallas to overtime um the other night, but I just think I just think this this looks to me like a duck spot. Um, if I was to play the total here, I’m thinking I would do a a same game parlay and hope for two in the first um just to get a little better value because because I’m in agreeance. I think, you know, if this was a five and a half, which it wouldn’t be given these two teams, but if it was a five and a half or even a six, I think I would be a little heavier on it. I think six and a half is a little juicy for me. So, um I think it’s one of those spots I’ll do I’ll take a little bit on Ducks uh and team total. Um again, not huge bets because I, you know, Pittsburgh is also, you know, playing pretty good hockey this season. Uh but then I’m going to do a same game parlay with first period full game here. Yeah, people in the chat saying Chris Krider’s dominated Pittsburgh, owned Pittsburgh, big numbers against them. Of course, those are all Rangers Chris Krider numbers uh from his Rangers days, but still worth noting. Plus 210 uh for him if you uh like him to score a goal. Yeah, I think Tommy Novak’s worth another look once again. Uh we cashed with him the other night. We mentioned it the other night that he was on the top line for Pittsburgh. Plus 390 is the best price out there right now with uh Tommy Novak. Still on the top line with Crosby and with Rust. Yeah, Michael Granland, the old team angle, sure. Uh, no, no issues with that. It’s been a bit of a struggle trying to work his find his offensive game again since he came back for Anaheim. Uh, but plus 420s out there. And you know what I really like to uh is uh backto-back games with a goal. This young kid Saka back at Saka uh plus 320 uh shop around. There’s plus 300 or better and a lot of books still for him. uh he scored in back-to-back games for the Anaheim Ducks entering this one tonight. So, uh like I said, uh Senakica, the 19-year-old kid with the 50-year-old voice. Uh he has uh certainly uh done uh a nice job here for the Anaheim Ducks. So, well that he’s like he’s probably not going to be on Canada’s World Junior team. Anaheim’s not going to let him leave. You know, that’s how well he’s played. And that’s the problem Canada’s going to find with a lot of this. Now, they’re stacked. They’ve got they’re still going to have a great world junior hockey ter uh championship roster in a couple of weeks, but there’s going to be it’s it’s insane how many players are eligible to play for Canada and won’t be celibbrini senica. I mean, there’s just tons of them. There’s no chance that there that the NHL team is going to let them leave and play for the world juniors. So, I mean, it’s just uh that’s what you deal with at this time of year, you know, unfortunately. you love that because there’s players that are eligible for the World Juniors and just not going to be playing for the World Juniors or for Canada or for any country because of how well that they’re playing right now for their uh NHL team. All right, next up we’ve got Columbus and Carolina. Carolina minus 200 home favorites uh 6 and a half the total uh in this game. Uh this is the the system plays back again just like that. Uh we saw it Saturday against Nashville for this Carolina team and what the Carolina system play for those that aren’t familiar. Carolina at home off a home loss. That’s the system. Carolina at home off a home loss. And what this spot has meant is overs. First period over, full game over. And it’s often meant Carolina team total over as well when they’re off a loss at home and playing at home. I I I I’m betting it because it’s been cashing constantly off a loss to Edmonton at home. The next game at home, they went over their team total first period over, full game over, it all hit. We just saw it with the Nashville Carolina game on Saturday. Not many games went over on Saturday, but that one did. You know, Carolina was coming off the loss to Toronto, playing again at home. First period over, full game over, the team total over uh for Carolina as well. But all hit and now we’ve got Carolina off the 4-1 loss to San Jose. Home loss at home again. And this has been just constant, just repetitive, just consistent. Carolina team total over, first period over, full game over. That being said, I don’t love this one as much because both teams have opted to start the goalender that to me is the best goalender they’ve got right now. Jet Greavves is gonna start for Columbus. We all know he’s been better than Elvis Merleakans this season, especially of late. And Carolina’s going to give Brandon Busy the start. You heard Alex on the show yesterday saying Brandon Busy might be their best goalie right now. And I think in terms of current form, it’s hard to argue that. Busy’s been solid, better than Anderson. And you know, who knows with Coachov, it certainly wasn’t great from Coachov. His first start against San Jose back for the first time in a while. So I that’s the one thing that does concern me a little bit with going full first period full game over and all these overs is that you know we’re not getting Anderson and if this is Anderson and MSleakans tonight this is load up on the overs with those two guys in net but we’re not getting uh Freddy Anderson versus Elvis Mleakens. We’re not getting the inferior net minders. We’re getting Jack Greavves who’s been very good even in the loss against Washington. He was solid. He only gave up two goals in that game. And you’re getting Brandon Busy for Carolina who’s been solid. It’s been steady. So, but the yet the system’s the system. It’s been strong. These overs and the Carolina team total over in these games where Carolina’s at home and off a home loss in their previous game. So, I’m going to ride with it. Don’t love it as much as I love the Nashville one Saturday, but you got to bet it. The system’s been strong. Uh over bya Carolina team total over. Um, and plus they’re going to have the 2006 Stanley Cup championship anniversary night tonight in uh Raleigh. So I know Peter Lavlet was already back there the other night in Lenovo Center ringing the storms. What is that though? Storm warning that do that at the start of every game. He was doing that [ __ ] the other night. Uh we’ll see if uh he’s going to be there probably for the because he was the head coach of that 2006 Stanley Cup championship team. Brenda Moore of course played for that team. Uh, so yeah, they they’ll have the big do, the big ceremony, the big stick uh the big uh uh big uh tribute to them tonight. So maybe that’s going to get them all amped up. But uh like I said, uh over by factor side, look, I I’m always interested in Columbus at this price, but I I I I just don’t like stepping in front of Carolina. Home off a home loss has been like a a money spot for them uh over the years. They rarely lose two home games in a row uh with historically how tough they’ve been at Lenovo Center uh to beat. What do you think here in this one, Matt? Columbus, Carolina. Yeah, I uh I feel the same. I jumped on I got this at a six u just based off that Carolina loss uh to San Jose and then Columbus getting shut out. Um I I grabbed it at a six, but so what I’m going to do is I I’m going to hold on to my six and then take a same game parlay cuz I really like the first period over in this one as well. Uh you know, system play coming off a shutout uh for Columbus. So I will do a same game parlay one and a half, five and a half, which is plus 115 on bet MGM. And then I’ll keep my six that I I think I got in at like minus 125 uh last night. So, um, I I do like it. Again, I I think the six and a half scares me a little bit. So, um, I think that’s a nice way to look at it. I don’t hate it at six and a half. I think it can totally get there, especially given, uh, series history, you know, the last two games for each of these teams, uh, everything like that. But I think I’m going to just stick to a little same game parlay and then keep my total at six. Um that way I’m kind of playing the first period over with a really low over and then the six. Um I think that’s that’ll be my look here. I sideswise I mean I I don’t know. I feel I feel like it would be worth taking a shot with Columbus. Obviously not going to lay 200 with Carolina, but I think Carolina gets it done after losing to San Jose. Um especially at home. So uh I you know you could play like a Carolina regulation or puck line. I’m gonna stay off. I’m just gonna take uh take the totals and hope we get some goals. Oh, you’re muted. I’m just going through every iteration right now of this system that I’ve mentioned. Carolina, the overs and Carolina games home off a home loss. They lost at home to Vegas 6 to3 October 28. Next game they beat the Islanders 6-2. Their team total hit. First period over hit, full game over hit. So there you go. Perfect example of what I’m talking about. Next time they were off a home loss was Washington and then playing at home again the next game uh against Vancouver. Uh and what do we see in that uh game? Uh four goals for Carolina. So team total over hits, first period over hits, full game over hits in that Vancouver game off the loss to Washington for Carolina at home. Then we move to the next time we saw that situation which was um let me just see here. Uh it was oh yeah it was Rangers uh against Winnipeg uh four. Now this is the one where it didn’t first period over didn’t hit and the full game over pushed but Carolina did go over their team total with five. So that one was a loss to the first period under push to the full game over or lost to the first period over push to the full game over and the Carolina team total over still at. And then as I mentioned, we saw it losing to Toronto 5-1 at home and then the very next game playing Nashville at home and it everything it team total over, first period over, full game over. So it has been pretty strong for the most part. That being said, again, Greavves and Busy, it does scare me a little bit. These two goalies have been their best goalies for their respective teams, but I still am playing the system here. All right, next up we’ve got Boston and St. Louis. Uh these two teams just met in Boston uh recently and now they’ll uh do the uh uh return match here in St. Louis. Uh St. Louis minus one uh 25 – 130 uh home favorites 5 a half the total here in this game. Uh the Blues had a nice weekend. They really did against uh Ottawa and Montreal winning backto back on the road. So well done by the St. Louis Blues, a team that’s obviously had a rough season. They’ve been struggling quite a bit. Uh we’ll see if uh they can keep it rolling now here back at home after that mini little three-game road trip. Uh meanwhile, you’ve got the Boston Bruins. Uh back-to-back home wins for them. One of them against this St. Louis team 5-2 and then they beat New Jersey who can’t score right now, four to one, struggling mightily. We’ll see if the um uh Bruins can keep it rolling here uh in this game against the Blues. You know, these short turnaround revenge spots have been so strong to the team that’s in revenge mode, and that would be St. Louis here. They’ve been really, really good. I mean, every recent revenge spot in a short turnaround situation that I can recall off the top of my head, the team that lost the first game won the short turnaround revenge meeting days later. And we’ve seen a bunch of the Buffalo Winnipeg last week. Just one example, but there’s a ton of these examples. So, this would be St. Louis for me. I don’t not jumping up and down at the laying a buck 30 with this Blues team, but it’ll be Blues or pass for me. I might wait to see if I can get the Blues trailing and plus money with them, you know, at some point during the game tonight, but it’s certainly a Blues lean for me. Swayman confirmed in net for the uh Boston Bruins tonight. And Joel Hoffer will get the start here for the St. Louis Blues. And Hoffer has suddenly uh come uh out here uh really really stepped up and played well. two straight starts he’s played great. One goal allowed on 42 shots against Ottawa and then he had a nice shut out against Utah as well as as well. So, uh Joel Hoffer’s looked good in his last couple starts after some struggles earlier in the year. Uh obviously for Boston, there’s still no Charlie Makavoy. David Posternok game time decision tonight. Very important to note that even though he’s missed the last five games for the Bruins, he’s traveled with the club to St. Louis on this road trip. So, uh, like I said, um, he might be back tonight. So, there’s a lot of things that are what I call moving parts, but I definitely lean blues. Don’t love the price enough to bet it pregame. I’ll probably look to see if I can find plus money in game at some point with them. The again, these short turnaround revenge spot. Like, if it’s a revenge spot, you know, when you’re playing a team and you lost to them earlier in the year and you played them like two months ago, then it’s not that big of a deal. But there’s something about and there’s been a bunch of these games where it’s the same two teams playing each other twice in a week or twice in 10 days, especially these East versus West matchups. And the team that lost the first game won the next one. It’s it’s it’s happened a lot. Trust me, it’s happened a lot. So, uh, that certainly that certainly points to St. Louis here, but like I said, price isn’t price isn’t great. I I will admit that. Uh, Matt, what do you think here? Boston, St. Louis. I’m actually on uh the first period in full game in this one. Um you know, I know the last game when they played uh just last week, it was 5-2. Uh four of their last six have gotten to six. Um not like an automatic lean or anything like that. I know Boston is seven and three to first period overs in their last 10. I think St. Louis is like five and five somewhere around mid-range. But um you know, I just think my my kind of look was that uh that you’ll get St. Louis wanting a little redemption, you know, playing at home. Uh and then you’ll want Boston to also have a good start to kind of eliminate, you know, St. Louis coming out with all the momentum after getting the win last week. Uh or Boston getting the win last week. So, uh I think both teams will shoot to score here early. Uh, all all we need is two in the first and then I think if we get two in the first, we have no problem getting to six. So, um, yeah, that’ll be my only looks on this one. All right, good stuff. Uh, propwise, uh, geeky with two straight games with a goal. I’m going to stick to the, uh, I think he’s still up on the top line, too, um, for Boston. Uh, yeah, Alex Steves, one more time. We’ll give him another whirl here. Alex Steves still up on that top line for the Boston Bruins. Um, for the St. Lewis Blues. Um Jake Neighbors, Thomas and Bhnavich are their top line right now. Uh Holloway we’ve talked about. Holloway is like I said streaky but uh starting to really pick it up a little bit. He had a goal and two assists against Montreal. He’s got three goals now in the last eight games. So starting to step things up a little bit uh for uh St. Louis. All right, next up. Yeah, Chicklets bounce for Morgan Geeki. I did notice he was the one of their guests on the Chicklet show uh yesterday. All right, Dallas and Winnipeg. Uh we’ve got Dallas minus 145 road favorites, six the total here in this game. Uh obviously now before you guys say, well, playoff revenge here for Winnipeg. You know, slow your roll here. They already played uh back in October. So that technically was the first game following their playoff series. And Dallas beat Winnipeg 5-4 uh in that game very early in the season. It was one of the first games of the year uh that they played each other. Now, the second meeting of this regular season, Winnipeg off a 6-2 loss to Edmonton back home here against the Dallas Stars. Uh 7-9 on the road, 7-5. They actually still do have a winning home record of the Winnipeg Jets. Uh we’ll see if that helps them here. Dallas has been just, you know, on a great run, 7-1 in their last eight games, 8-2 in their last 10 games. We’ll see if they can keep that train rolling here. They’ll do it with Casey De Smith in net tonight for the Dallas Stars getting the nod here. Obviously back to Eric Comry for the uh Winnipeg Jets coming off a start where he got pulled against Edmonton. Uh I think it was nuts for Arneal to start him on a backto back anyway and of course he gave up the four goals in the opening period of that game against uh Edmonton. Uh Casey De Smith’s been very solid though. 61-1 2.16 goals against average 921 save percentage. hasn’t lost a start in regulation since October the 16th. 50 and two, 1.68 goals against, 940 save percentage in his last seven starts. So, like I said, um he’s been well. I mean, it’s not one of these deals where backup goalies in fade that team with the backup goalie. No, D Smith played very well. The record indicates that. Five wins, no regulation losses, and two beyond regulation losses for to Smith. That’s it. Uh I don’t love the price though. minus 145. I just don’t uh in this situation. So, not a game I’m going to get involved with pregame from a side perspective or total. I actually lean under a little bit here in this game slightly uh just because, you know, I think Comry, remember Comry played damn good against now Buffalo’s not Dallas, so we should, you know, go over the moon with how well he played, but he played well against Montreal too before that. He had two pretty good starts. They threw him in there on a backto-back, which I’ll never understand. and you know he got lit up early by Edmonton but the before that Comry played well two games in a row against Montreal and Buffalo. So after getting pulled I could see him playing a decent game here tonight. So maybe an under lean Dallas but the price ain’t good enough to me. Uh what do you think here Matt? Dallas Winnipeg. Yeah. So uh this was actually one of the rare games that I did take Dallas, but I got in at minus 130 last night. Um I think you know that was kind of about as high as I would have gone. And I think anything more than that uh is a little too much juice. Uh you could take a look at Stars regulation. It’s plus 100. Um that could be an angle if you feel that Dallas takes care of business. I mean um obviously a lot of times Oh yeah, I should point out reason for the line move. Uh Matty Duchain and Thomas Harley are both back tonight for the Dallas Stars. So well Matty Duchain played on Sunday, so it’s just Harley. That’s my Harley. That’s right. He came back. Yeah. Yeah. But he did come back in a in sort of a lower role. Um playing lower minutes, kind of easing back into it, but it’s looking like he potentially will be with Wyatt and Rancin tonight. So, his props are definitely live. Um I was just looking I see his goal prop at plus 380. Um it’s not going to be my bargain bin, but it is something that I may take a shot with. Um you know, anyone it’s the same thing when Jamie Ben came back from the lung. started out with a game or two on a lower line, kind of getting back into rhythm, and then you’ve seen how he’s played the last seven or eight games. Once he got moved up to playing uh with Wyatt and Ransin, it really kind of boosted things for him. So, um his goal prop is still plus 360. I think that’s all still worth a look while he keeps continuing on that streak. Um really those top two lines, you’ve got Duchine and Ben that are kind of the undervalued guys. Uh so you know a robo gold prop is like plus 115 right now because of the heater he’s been on. Uh so you can always look at the you know undervalued guys Jamimeie Ben Matt Duchain uh that if those lines are rolling you know will chip in offensively. So u so yeah I mean and I I’m also aligned with you. I don’t really love the first period or full game. I know Winnipeg is seven and three uh in their last 10 to the first period. So, if I was to take a shot, I might throw a little sprinkle on the first period over. Um, but you know, just I mean, looking at the last few games, Dallas is winning games 3-2 in overtime, 4-1, you know, 4-0. So, um, you know, I think this absolutely could get to the total, but it’s just not my favorite look. And so, I’ll probably stay off, uh, any sort of over on this one. We gonna get another goal from our guy, our boy tonight, Mero Ore, Bobby Hastinan. Uh, we gonna get another goal from this guy. Three in a row with three games in a row with a goal for Miro Hasten. Like I said, Miro or Bobby Hasten and he’s plus 575. So, I mean, sometimes when you get to a streak that’s three in a row, it’s like why not just throw a few bucks on it until it misses and then you can kind of move on and don’t have to rely on it. But, uh, I think Harley getting back in the lineup will affect Miro’s minutes a little bit, but I think they’re going to ease Harley back in. I don’t expect there to be a big change tonight. Um, and Harley is playing with Neil Lungus, and so both of those guys coming back from injury. I don’t see either of them, you know, playing 26 minutes tonight or anything. So I think Miro and Lindell will get a heavy workload and then you know if you have a three nothing game after the first or something then maybe they’ll kind of ease the that group and kind of get other guys going. But uh but yeah I mean he’s he’s been hot and they obviously needed that one Sunday because uh that was that was how they were able to uh to get the win in that one. You know we’ve been good with these. We had LA last night with the uh first goal of the first period last night against Utah. But yeah, I just thought I had to point that out with Miro there. Three straight games with a goal. Cole Keepy, Cole Keepy for Winnipeg has scored in back-to-back games. And you can get that guy like at uh 11 to one uh right now for the uh Winnipeg Jets to find the back of the net tonight. So there you go. There’s some decent little longer shots here if you’re going to ride the wave of some of these goalcoring streaks. Let me see what the price is of this. You know, we’ve been good with these first goal of first period bets. So we definitely won more than we’ve lost so far. I’m going to I’m in on this one. I’m going to take a look at this one. Winnipeg first goal first period here plus 140. I could see it here. You know, coming off the debacle against Edmonton. Comry looking for a little redemption. Uh this reminds me of the spot when they lost to Buffalo and they scored the first goal against Now, they didn’t win the game, so I should caution you about Winnipeg full game. They didn’t win the game against Montreal, but they scored the first goal of that game uh in the first period. Uh, and I could see Dallas a little dopey out of the gate here tonight. You would think maybe they shouldn’t be or won’t be with Harley back, but like I said, sometimes when you get your key player back, you don’t play well as well as you think and you don’t start as well as you think. So, I think that’s not a bad situational bet there. Winnipeg first goal of first period. I certainly like the price on that. Plus 140 uh is the uh price on that. So, uh I think that’s if you like Winnipeg at all, I think that’s the focus on that, right? He got dummy by Edmonton. Comry got pulled. Comry’s back in net here tonight looking for a better performance. And he did play well two games in a row before the Edmonton game. So I I think that’s not a bad little situational look. Uh Winnipeg first goal of the first period plus 140. All right, Buffalo and Edmonton. Uh Edmonton minus 200 home favorites 6 and a half the total here in this game. It would be so Buffalo to lose 74 to Calgary, walk into Edmonton and win tonight. It would be so Buffalo to do that. But do we really think they’re doing that? Uh, that is the question here with the Buffalo Sabres. I don’t think they’re doing that. And here’s why. Is Edmonton really going to take Buffalo lightly? Edmonton lost in Buffalo 5 to one, you know, just recently. And um, you know, so that’s the one thing if you’re Buffalo, you’re hoping Edmonton’s just going to like go through the motions and be a little bit off their game a little bit. Well, Edmonton just lost and lost badly in Buffalo 5 to one a week or two ago and like I said, so to me that’s like I don’t think the Oilers are looking past Buffalo here tonight as a result of that. Uh the huge rest advantage obviously we’ve seen their offense explode. You know, they had trouble scoring goals, but boy, they were up for the nine against Seattle, six against Winnipeg, 15 in their last two games. Uh so I can see Edmonton filling it up here in this game for sure. That being said, Buffalo Buffalo could still chip in a little bit here. You know, we’ll see. Skinner, Steuart Skinner is going to be a net for the Buffalo Sabres here tonight. Looks like Colton Ellis going to get the start for the uh the Buffalo Sabres here in this game. Or is he? Uh you never know with this Buffalo team. They got three freaking goalies up. UPL uh Ellis and uh Ellis Island, as I like to say, or it could be Alex Lion. I’m seeing some sites seem to think it might be Alex Lion. Well, I don’t know if he’s that much better. He’s had a rough year, too. I think Edmonton scores certainly I think Edmonton team total over three and a half is certainly better than laying the minus 200 with Edmonton. I like the full game over 6 and a half. One thing I went back and looked because I know this has happened before. Buffalo beating Edmonton at home. Edmonton in revenge mode at home after losing in Buffalo. It’s happened a couple times in recent years cuz we mentioned I was on Buffalo against Edmonton and I was on Buffalo against Edmonton in Buffalo back in that game on November 17th where Buffalo won 5-1 because Edmonton had played poorly in Buffalo. Well, if you go back and you look at the last two year times Buff Edmonton’s lost in Buffalo and they’ve played Buffalo again in Edmonton later in the season. What happened in 2021-22 they beat Buffalo 3-2. They played later in Edmonton, later in the season, and Edmonton got their revenge, beating Buffalo 6 to1. It happened a couple years ago where Buffalo beat Edmonton on March the 9th, 3-2 in a shootout. Buffalo beat Edmonton in Buffalo. They played in Edmonton just 12 days later. And you know what Edmonton did? They beat him 8-3 back home. So, eight goals in that game. So, I like the full game over most because I think Buffalo will score. Buffalo will chip in. Buffalo is off that game last night. They’re not going to roll over. I don’t think so. They’re not good. They’re not a good hockey team. We know that. But I don’t think they’re going to roll over after losing 7-4 to Calgary. So, I think they’re going to chip in. But, I don’t know how they keep Edmonton off the scoreboard because Edmonton’s eating up. Power plays getting going. Edmonton is not going to, in my opinion, shouldn’t take Buffalo for granted after losing 5 to one in Buffalo uh just a few weeks ago. So, I think it’s over six and a half. And I’ll get in on a little bit of an Edmonton team total over three and a half here as well. Uh what do you think here in this one, Matt, with Buffalo Edmonton? I’m actually exactly in a line with you. Um one of my favorite plays of the day is Edmonton team total over three and a half. Uh I got in at plus 125 yesterday on that. Um I I do like the over as well. Um I just think this is, you know, you mentioned it, Edmonton 15 goals in the last two games. um asking them to get four against a Buffalo team that’s on a back-to-back uh does not seem like a tall task. Uh but I do think Buffalo, you know, they are a team that can put up a couple goals. So, uh I think the over is a great look. You know, I I would definitely look at a first period over. What I might do is take the full game over at six and a half and then my first period bet do one and a half, five and a half to get better value so that I’ve got really a first period look, but then I’d obviously need it to get to six, but then I’ve got the over six and a half as well. Um, and then I’m going to take a shot with a Josh Don anytime assist prop plus 200 tonight. Um, he’s got four assists in his last four g four games. He’s playing with Josh Norris. Uh, so you know, he’s getting a lot of opportunities there. Josh Norris has been on uh quite a little run since getting back um from injury and then you know Donor is out there with Norris on that first power play unit. Um I just think there’s a lot of opportunity for him to chip in. I probably I hate doing an assist prop and not taking a goal prop on the off chance he scores two goals and I’m just like well that was dumb. Uh so I will be on his goal prop as well. um which you can get at uh let’s see which you can get at plus 375. So it’s still a great look. Um given that Norris has had a lot of assists in this run of points. Um so give me Josh Jones goal prop and assist prop. I think those are both worth the look, but you know I think I think Edmonton kind of runs away with this one. I could I could make an argument for the puck line. I just, you know, on the off chance it’s 53 and then Buffalo scores with 20 seconds left and the puck line misses. I I don’t want to be on that side of that. So, uh, Edmonton team total full game over at six and a half first period and full game over at one and a half, five and a half. And then Josh anytime assist and anytime goal. That’ll be my five plays for uh for this game. And Jason Zker is out for Buffalo. So there that’s in addition to Yuri Yuri Koulik and Justin Danforth being out for them. Michael Kessler ring on the back end, too. And that’s unfortunate because he had shown some uh moments playing pretty well, but uh like I said, he’ll be out on the blue line. So, I believe who’s going to draw and probably Connor Timonss is the guy that draws in uh to the blue line for the uh Buffalo Sabres. And he’s a journeyman. Like, he’s been around the block bunch of teams uh in the NHL. So, we’ll see how that uh plays out uh tonight. I applaud AM. I know his system is the scoring drought system, whatever he’s calling it. Uh he likes Buffalo a lot. Best bet on the board. I applaud his bravery. I do. If the system’s a system, that’s the one thing. If the system is the system and it says bet something, you know, bet it, you know, it’s hard for me to get off stuff I like as a system play. Um, so if that’s Buffalo tonight, hey, stick with it. All right. Next up, we’ve got Colorado Nashville. Final game of this uh Tuesday uh card. We’ve got uh Colorado minus 200 uh road favorites. uh six the total here in this game. Um I don’t have much here. I mean, here’s the thing. Colorado, the road trip continues, but they’ve they’ve they’ve struggled at times here in Nashville. It’s the weirdest thing. Uh actually, they did win in Nashville uh when they played here just a few weeks ago. They shut out Nashville 3-0. They caught Nashville coming off the Sweden games, the two back-to-back games in Stockholm against Pittsburgh. So, it was a good spot for Colorado there. But before that, uh, Nashville had won four straight games at home here against Colorado. Uh, so long-term, this has been not an easy place to win for the, uh, Colorado Avalanche. That being said, back-to-back road wins, Nashville off a 6-3 loss to Carolina. Uh, the last two times they’ve lost, they have bounced back and won Nashville. So, they do have that going for you. I have no interest fading Colorado with a team like Nashville, but I’m also not interested in laying minus 200 on the road with Colorado against a team that’s kind of been pluckucky and feisty against them at times. So, yeah, this a pass. We don’t have to bet every game pass for me here. Uh maybe a prop or two. I’ll give you in a minute. Uh Matt, what do you think here? Colorado Nashville. Yeah, just not really anything for me as well. I mean, you know, you could make a case for Colorado’s puck line. they should beat Nashville by multiple goals given how good they’re playing, but um you know, you’ve got a central division matchup even though you’ve got Nashville sitting at the bottom. Um it’s still a central division matchup. They’re teams that see each other a lot. Uh TNT angle, you know, it’s uh it will be one of the TNT games of the night. So, um, it it and honestly what’s crazy is Colorado is I want to say they’re first in the NHL right now. Yeah, first in the NHL in goals four and I I don’t like betting overs with him because they’ve been really good defensively. Wedgewood wedge wall is back too for Colorado from his little injury stint. Yeah. and and so I mean um you know this game could be 4 nothing and Colorado gets the job done but you know you’re not even close to the over. I think if anything you could maybe consider um like a team total here with Colorado. I’m seeing like plus 130 at over four minus 12 at over three and a half. I think if anything that would be my look on this game. I think because again to your point Nashville is kind of a pesky team when it comes to the ABS. If you’re looking strictly at on paper the ABS should score six goals in this game. So an over three and a half is not crazy to think about. Nashville’s 31st in the league as far as goals against average. Um but I think for me it’s it’s a game I might watch. You know TNT national game. I might be out tonight watching this. Uh, but I just don’t think there’s anything for me pregame. We’ll see. This is a This is This could be a good look. If Nashville goes up one or two nothing early, it may be a time to jump on on the ABS, you know, something like that. But pregame, I don’t think there’s anything here for me. All right. Nothing wrong. Yeah, for me the same. I mean, I don’t have much at all pregame. That being said, propwise, Brock Nelson, excuse me, Ross Colton worth a look for me for Colorado from a value standpoint. Marty Nas is a game time decision by the way, dealing with an undisclosed ailment. Uh, so, um, we’ll see if he suits up, but game time decision according to Bedar. On the Nashville side, even, you know, there are a couple props I like on the Nashville side. Um, Michael Bunting, you know, he’s a streaky goal scorer. He started to heat up a little bit the last few games. And Wood is good. Matthew Wood, uh, who scored in the last game for Nashville against Carolina. So, uh, those two guys, Matthew Wood and, uh, Michael Bunting, I think might be worth a shot for goal props there in that one. Uh, and by the, like I mentioned, Scott Wedgewood back. He’s been absolutely spectacular. And this is not the same situation as I often say with, you know, ring rust, if you will, or a goalie that’s been out for a while that you might be rusty coming. He’s only been out a week. You know, he’s missed three games. It’s not like he’s been out for three, two, three, four weeks or a month or two months. So, it’s not that bad. uh when you look at it as far as uh I don’t think he’ll be as uh unsteady as you’d think. All right, great stuff. Shout out to everyone in the chat. Hit the like button. We appreciate it very much. Uh and again, we’ve got uh tomorrow’s show will be just yours truly flying solo through it, pre-recorded. Uh so it’ll be a shorter show. Uh, and then of course back live on Thursday 2 pm Eastern time uh where it’ll be me and uh Alex and I believe our friend from Raleigh North Kakalaki David is back in the fold on Thursday as well. Smith, Matt Robinson. Uh and again, Matt’s doing a great job in NHL. I just came off one hell of a [ __ ] NFL weekend on Wizard Sports Picks. Eight and one. eight and one uh in the NFL this past weekend and we wrapped it up with those lightning bolts the LA Chargers last night uh getting it done against uh Philadelphia. I’m telling you, I know there’s a hockey show, not NFL, but fade Philadelphia the rest of the they’re collapsing again all over again like they did two years ago. Same [ __ ] same thing. You know, there’s this dension in the uh in the locker room. you got eight uh you know uh Brown you know uh or uh you know yelling for more catches more more targets uh you know they can’t run the football constantly uh with Barkley uh now there’s a couple injuries on Jaylen Herz is not playing well Nickriani is a numbnuts coach I’m I’m I’m serious man I know that guy’s won a Super Bowl we’re supposed to respect guys that have won a Super Bowl they win in spite of that guy I really mean that Nick Serriani this guy’s not a big- time head coach And I know we’re talking about a guy that won a Super Bowl, but anyway, that’s another story. How about not one but two bargain bin specials on the show yesterday. me with James Van Ramsdikeke for Detroit plus 510. Pllo with Nate Danielson from that same game and that same team the Detroit Red Wings uh yesterday at I believe plus 650. So two bargain bins yesterday. So we’ll see if we can add to it for this Tuesday. Matt, we’ll start with you. Bargain bin special of the night. Yeah, you uh you touched on it a bit during the show, but uh it was what I had circled pregame. Uh he’s got two goals in his last two games for the San Jose Sharks. He’s playing on that top line with Celibbrini and Will Smith. The young guns out there. Uh Colin Graph anytime goal in that Sharks Flyers game. Uh I got it at plus 450. I saw someone in the chat say plus 600 at uh at one of the other sites. So definitely shop around. Uh but I just think, you know, he’s he’s up. He’s getting more comfortable. uh you know he’s a guy that’s he unlike a celibbrini that just popped right in and uh definitely never looked back you know spent some time in the minors kind of up and down the lineup but I think he’s kind of building confidence uh and when you’re young like that you get two goals in two games you you feel like you’re on top of the world and can score any night so um the Flyers aren’t a team that I fear will completely shut that line down or anything like that so uh give me a give me a shot with Colin Graph to chip in tonight uh in that Sharks Flyers game. That’ll be my bargain bin. Good stuff. I will say it right now. That is one of my bargain bins, too. Colin Graph for the San Jose Sharks. That’s one of them. I like it. Uh it’s worth it at that price up on the top line and scored in back-to-back games. 100% worth it. Uh total agreement. So Matt and I share the same bargain bin there with Colin Graph at plus 470. Uh great. Plus 600 at bet 365. So there you go. Even better price there. And I’m going back to the well with a guy I had as a bargain bin special last night. He did not score. Well, no one on his team scored. They got shut out by Toronto. But this is another team that he’s had success against. Nick Paul, Tampa Bay plus 380. Uh I’m going to rock one more time with Nick Paul. We’re going to take a page out of Alex’s playbook. I see Alex in the chat now where Yeah, it’s sometimes when you don’t go with the player after you you miss, you know, you bet him and he doesn’t score, you don’t bet him the next game and he does score. Well, we’re going to hope to avoid that. We’ll take them again. Nick Paul plus 380 for Tampa Bay and Colin Graph San Jose plus 600 for my bargain bin specials of the night. Honorable mention to Zetterland. That’s a nice call someone had in the chat there against his old team now with Ottawa playing against his old team New Jersey and Emil Heinman. Honorable mentions. Can’t I don’t want to go with more than two, but if I were to go with more than just Graph and Nick Paul, Zetterland and Heinaman are not bad options tonight as well. All right, best bets uh for this uh Tuesday. Matt, we’ll start with you. What do you like for best bet? A rare best bet on a team that uh a lot of folks would think that I would stay away from on best bets, but I’ve got to do it. Uh Buffalo has given up four goals or more in three straight games. Lion in his last five starts has given up four or more in four of the five. Give me Edmonton team total over three and a half, 15 goals in two games. their power play’s heating up. Uh there’s still a lot of issues and question marks as far as Edmonton as a complete team. You know, they’re winning games nine to five and things like that. Uh so they’re giving up goals in the process. Do like the over here. But as far as my best bet for this Tuesday, December 9th card, give me Edmonton team total over three and a half. That’ll be it. All right, Edmonton team total over three and a half for Matt Robinson with his uh best bet for this Tuesday NHL card. Before we get to best bet, I do want to put the bargain bin special back up there just to mention Alex’s bargain bin. He mentioned it in the chat. I just want to mention it on the show. It’s Esselindell. You’ll like this one. Uh Matt Esselindell Dallas uh for uh Alex with his bargain bin plus 1,000 10 to1ell for the Dallas Stars. And best bet for Alex, by the way, is St. Louis Boston St. Louis over one and a half minus 110 first period over. So, uh Bruins Blues first period over. Uh one and a half minus 110 for Alex and Alex will be back on Thursday when we’re back live with you. All right. Uh best bet for me. Uh look, the total streak came to an end, so I’m going to go with a side tonight. This is just an undervalued side uh for me. Quack- quack quack quack quack quack. Give me the Anaheim Ducks plus 105 against Pittsburgh. She loves lost four straight starts, 3.85 goals against average during that span. Uh Anaheim’s won three straight meetings over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Um they’re playing really good. I love their team defensive game against Washington and Chicago to end that home stand if they play that way again as a team defensively to go with what they can do offensively. Uh they should be able to get past this Pittsburgh Penguins team who have lost three of their last four games on home ice. Um so I and again four start losing streak for Sheilobs who has not been good this year. Uh we like the kid with what he did in Vancouver but clearly it’s not gone the same way for him here in Pittsburgh so far. So, Anaheim plus 105 uh against Pittsburgh uh for my best bet here for this uh Tuesday NHL card. Shout out to everyone in the chat. Hit the like button. We appreciate it very much. Uh and like I said, uh looking forward to another great night of hockey, some winning bets. Uh Matt will be back on Friday, uh later in the week. Uh looking forward to that. Alex will be back Thursday. And again, a pre-recorded solo show. Nice quick one tomorrow. And we’ll get it posted on the channel by 2 p.m. tomorrow at the regular time.
