How The Washington Commanders Could Get The #1 Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft
Yo, what is up guys? It’s Pedro here and in today’s video I want to talk about the Washington Commanders and how they can get the number one pick in the 2026 NFL draft. We’re going to talk about that and just where they’re likely going to end up, who they can draft, and much more. If you guys are new, make sure to subscribe, hit that like button, and that notification bell as well so you never miss a video. Let’s get right into it. So, the Commanders did get some good draft news this past week. You know, obviously they lost, which helps things out. And they’re the same draft slot as they were the week before, but overall things got better. You have the Saints who they won against the Bucks, which was unexpected. You know, at least, you know, a team that’s, you know, 2-10, beating a team that’s um that or at least was 7 and five is unlikely usually. And then you had the Titans beating the Browns. That wasn’t necessarily great news for the Commanders because if the Browns would have won, they could have left the the Browns, but or they would have, but still that is not bad news because the Commanders actually have a chance to leapfrog the Titans, the Giants, the Saints. There’s a lot of teams the Commanders could leaprog. I’m not saying they’re going to have the number one pick, but the thing is they’re not going to win another game. I would be surprised if they did win another game. They’re three and 10. Three and 10. They’re going to finish the season off three and 14 is my guess. And these some of these teams right here, they play each other. The commanders play one of these teams. So things are going to change. The commanders will move up in this draft slot. I am pretty sure of that. So this is the path for the commanders to get the number one pick. And we’ll just go over other things as well. Giants beating the commanders, which hey, it’s tank bulls this week. We’ve had a lot of tank bulls against the Giants. This one is a big one. Maybe not as big as some of the other ones, but um and you know, we’ve seen where that’s gotten us, where that, you know, that’s gotten them. You still have to hit on the pick at the end of the day. The Titans beating the Saints, which you know, got to root for that. The Raiders beating the Giants, the Saints beating the Jets, and the Browns win. So the thing is is we, you know, in general you want the Saints to, you know, win one more game regardless, but they do play the Titans. So in that scenario, you want the Titans to beat the Saints. But obviously just in general, the team, the five teams ahead of the Commanders, you want them to win, not lose, win. But there will be some scenarios where they’re playing each other. The good thing is the Commanders, you know, they play one of these teams. They play the Giants. So, if they lose, I I might have said win because in my opinion or like in my mind, winning is almost getting the worst draft pick, but if the Commanders lose to the Giants, they’re going to pass them because, and I will reiterate this every video that I do about the draft order that, you know, the strength of schedule is what is the tiebreaker. So if you have a higher strength of schedule, that’s actually not good because that means you are winning uh you know or you’re losing against you know really you know good teams but the teams that have let’s say a low strength of schedule like the Browns they’re losing and they’re losing to bad teams which shows you know in the league’s eyes and just according to strength of schedule they’re a worse team. Uh so that is something to consider as well. But the Giants have a higher strength of schedule than the commanders. Commanders were at 5’11 at some point. They might have went up and then now they went back down just because I guess I don’t know the Eagle. I don’t know the Chargers. I’m not completely sure there cuz whatever. Um but um cuz I guess something with last night’s game, maybe the game before that too with I guess the Chiefs losing that helps out the Commander strength of schedule too. But you know, let’s look at some of these schedules. So the Saints, they have an easy schedule. The Saints, they play the Panthers, which not an easy game, but they can win that game. They play the Jets, they play the Titans, they play the Falcons. So we want the Titans to win one of these games, right? And they have a really good strength of schedule, so that’s good for the Commanders. We want the Falcon or not the Falcons, we want the Saints just win one of these three. Carolina, I’m not saying they’re going to win, but I would give them like a 25 30% chance to win that game. Jets, it’s going to be close to 50/50 on that one. I would probably favor the Jets there. And then Falcons, I would favor the Saints in that game with how I mean, I guess the Falcons, you know, I don’t know, they’re the Kurt Cousins playing, they’re they’re just not that good guys. Um, and you know, Michael Pennix is out obviously with the ACL injury and they’re struggling. So, I think the Saints could win honestly more like two or three of these games, especially they do play the Titans, but we do want the Titans to win that game. I would say, I’m not guaranteeing it, but I do think the Commanders will pass the Saints and, you know, pretty easily. The Browns, I believe, is the toughest one. You look at their schedule, they have a very, you know, you know, tough schedule. In general, I would say it’s like a, you know, above average schedule and then especially for a team that’s not good, it it’s a hard schedule. So then that’s why them losing to the Titans was unfortunate, but they do play the Bears, you know, maybe the Bears just lost. Maybe they play a really bad game against the uh Titans or no, against the Browns and lose that one. The Bills, who knows they’re, you know, up or down. The Bengals is the is I was about to say the commander’s best shot. I mean, I guess their best shot of getting them one pick, but is the Browns best shots divisional game and it’s against the Bengals who their defense is awful and Shador might be able to cook up a little bit there and some of these other games you never know. Shadur, you know, has been playing pretty well for the Browns and uh this past week put up 29 points. So, who knows, maybe he can, you know, catch lightning in a bottle in a game or two and get a win. And in that scenario, Commanders passed him. Obviously, this is assuming the Commanders lose out, which, you know, very likely is going to happen. You go to the Titans. We need them to win one game, guys. One game. And their schedule is pretty hard except for the Saints, which I think the Saints are going to win, which is unfortunate there. But if they can somehow rack off a win against any other, you know, any of these g teams, but um any other team besides the Saints, that would be great, you know, uh a great two, but you know, beating the Saints is the most realistic one. And then you look at the Raiders, they just got to win a game and we’re straight. And they do play um you know, the Giants. So you want the Raiders to beat the Giants, you know, with the E how the Eagles have been playing, who knows? But nah, the Eagles are going to beat them. Uh but you you know you have a chance there that the Chiefs maybe they’re not playing for anything. Maybe the Raiders can win that game. And then you look at the Giants. Again, it doesn’t really matter with the Giants. As long as the Commanders win, the Commanders lose to the Giants, they’re going to have uh the tiebreaker over them just off of strength of schedule and they would have the same amount of wins assuming both the teams lose out the rest of the way. But real quick before we get into some of the players like Arll Reese, let’s talk about today’s sponsor. And a huge shout out to Sleeper for sponsoring today’s video. Make sure you guys check them out. Use promo code Pedro on Sleeper and get a 100% match up to a $100. You got NBA games going on today. You have NHL going on. You have football this week. Link is in the description. Use my code. terms and conditions apply. All right. Again, huge shout out to Sleeper there, but let’s talk about players available draft strategy. So, my guess on this situation, the Commanders are We’ll go back real quick just so I can give you guys my final thoughts on where I think the Commanders will land, but um I think they’ll probably go they’re going to pass the Giants. So, that puts them at five. I think they’ll pass the Saints, which uh would put them at four with only the Browns, Titans, and Raiders ahead of them. So, I would assume I would So, yeah, that would put them at four. I would assume one of those teams, one of those teams ends up getting a win. Hopefully, it’s the Titans against the Saints. Maybe it’s the Browns against the Bengals or the Raiders against one of the teams that they play, which is the Giants. So, my guess is three is the Commanders get the third pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Right now, the Saints and the Giants are the easiest teams for the Commanders to leap. And then the other two are going or the other three, it’s going to be difficult, but I think at least one of those can clutch up a win for us. Uh, you know, whether you know I’ve already mentioned the scenarios, but now let’s go over to the big board. Some positions the commanders could go after. So, you got Ruben Bane still up there. Arville Reese also is another guy up there. Uh, you know, there’s some quarterbacks up there. Not saying the Commanders need a draft one. I’m just saying if we’re going to be up there, there might be some teams willing to trade up, giving the Commanders a lot of draft capital, giving them the opportunity to get a lot of draft capital, trading back, and you know, that would be a good scenario. I would love a tradeback scenario. E, let’s say the commanders are at two or three. I’m not saying trade back to 24. trade. Even trading from two to six, you’re still in position to get a really good player and really help out this team and get some more assets to hopefully hit on some draft picks. And Adam Peters hasn’t hit on a lot of them, but uh it gives you more opportunities and maybe, you know, year three will be a little bit better. And honestly, this past year’s draft class hasn’t been awful. Some hits, some misses, and you still got to give them time. The first one though, it’s been pretty bad. But let’s, you know, I think, you know, if you’re gonna stick in the top three, you got to go edge. In my opinion, it’s edge or nothing. If you’re gonna trade back into that like six to 10 range, you could take one of the, you know, second tier edge guys like behind Ruben Bane. You know, maybe it’s a um I guess some of these guys are linebackers, but uh you know, Arval Ree is a guy you have. You know, David Bailey is up there who, you know, has had a really good season for Texas Tech. You got Cashious How, who I just saw the Commanders get mocked to. So, you got DJ’s brother as well. I’m just, you know, naming names. I think ideally though, you take one of the top two guys and uh maybe one of those guys slips to five or six. Uh receiver is another position. I wouldn’t mind it if the Commanders went ahead and traded back to like nine or 10 and got one of these receivers. Carnell Tate is tough. Jordan Tyson is tough. Lemon’s solid, too. So, those got, you know, that’s an option. You can also trade back a few spots. Take Caleb DS who’s, you know, a stud as well. And, you know, there’s other positions. The commanders need help at a lot of the positions. I would say choose best player available at position of need. You don’t necessarily just take the best player, you know, just cuz he’s the best player because if it’s not a fit, it’s not a fit. So, uh, and I’m not going to take a player at a position that’s super weak. So, rece, you know, not not super weak, that’s not really valuable that you can find value later in the, you know, draft. So, for me, receiver is one that I would take. I would also go uh, you know, defensive line in general would probably not take an, you know, interior defensive lineman, but uh, edge I would take. And then cornerback is an option as well. Monsour Delane, former Virginia Tech Hokei. Uh Terrell, AJ Terrell’s brother is a stud as well from Clemson. And then you got Caleb DS as well. So those are the positions I would focus on. Cornerback, safety with safety just being Caleb DS in the you know top 10. And then I I don’t know if I said edge or and then receiver. So those are the four positions I would go after in the first round. Those are high value positions and at positions of need for the commanders. So, that’s kind of my take on the situation here for the commanders. And, you know, we’re getting it’s still early to talk about specific players we want, but we’ll get a better idea as we first off finish off the season, find out where we’re drafting, whether it’s going to be, you know, at, you know, one or it’s going to be at seven or eight if we somehow get a win. We got to figure that out. and then you know getting through the draft process be even before free agency seeing how these guys go up the board and then getting to free agency which impacts a little bit not in terms of all right free agency you know because you signed this guy you’re not going to be able to sign another guy no but it’s more like all right you’re seeing what Adam Peters is looking for if he’s you know signing a couple receivers it’s probably because maybe he doesn’t like the receivers in the draft he wants to sign some receivers now and go to another position and then obviously once we get closer to the draft we’re really going to know, you know, a couple different players that they could go after, but still could trade back. But that’s it for today’s video. Hope you guys did enjoy. If you did, hit that like button, subscribe, guys, new, and peace.

We definitely have a chance hopefully they donโt try an win
we gonna have to draft a quarterback so hopefully we can get the number 2 pick since the Titans not drafting a quarterback
As a Tennessee fan too, we should get Jermod McCoy, he is a beast
We need a QB. Trade JD for a second round pick.
It doesn't matter who we pick….if we don't get rid of this staff…tge same shit is going to happen….we aren't winning shit with DQ and Kliff….I been saying this for a minute…yall gon learn…..didn't like them from jump….24 was a luck filled season…but we did draft a promising QB…he made it work and we won….Adam has a rebuild on his hands…and he needs a new staff….a young offensive HC that runs a West coast offense…to groom Jayden correctly….you can't have an RPO based foundation with him…he's not built for that up here in the pros…sure you can run them sometimes…but not the foundation with spineless gun runs and screens….horizontal bullshit ass screens and the mesh garbage he runs…they all should be fired for putting him out there this past week….that alone should be grounds to kick them out the door…this staff is pedestrian at best….these players deserve more….especially with an owner who doesn't meddle and doesn't mind paying the big bucks….Adam..his ass is on the hot seat too….he better hit on some of the picks coming up…or his ass is grass too.
If we get the number 1 pick, I would consider trading Jayden to New Orleans.
Washington doesn't need to trade for the #1 pick. Who are you people ๐๐๐
Here we go again, trade JD. Washington doesnโt know how to develop players
Trading down a top 5 pick for additional draft capital is the way to go here.
We need youth and speed on offense, draft south Carolina wr nyck harbor 6'5" 230lb 40 time 4.24 and smu rb chris Johnson jr son of Tennessee titans legend chris Johnson 40 time 4.30 like Detroit lions offense ๐
we are at FKING #6 again!? Seriously this team is cursed. Dan still running the team into the ground…if not…its Goodhell's doing…you can't convince me otherwise
Y๐!!!! My Brotherins ๐ช๐ฟ, We'll probably win against Allas. 4-13 top 5 pick. Salute Comrade and Keep Prospering ๐ซก.
Let me explain the rules of loserbowl trash bowl. Two very awful team in a all out war to see who the most pathetic is. Whoever loses win the bowl. I repeat. Whoever loses the loser bowl. Is the actual winner
Is there a QB worth taking with the number one pick? Not to draft but to use as leverage to move down a couple of spots and picking up a haul of picks.
If we get the No.1 pick, they should trade down for more picks.
I will accept nothing other than Tyson or Tate in the first
Theyโre beating the giants
