This meme is needed more than ever this week. That’s my quarterback.

It was a very bad game.
He still had a higher passer rating this week than Mahomes.
Go next.
Last year was last year
I live in San Diego and was ready for today’s backlash. I kept my replica rings in my pocket and every time someone started talking trash I would just nod and listen while slowly putting on my rings. Small wins.
This meme template never made sense to me “Nooo I totally don’t care about what you’re saying I care so little I had to make a meme about ignoring the hypothetical argument to show everyone how much I’m ignoring you and don’t care what you’re saying right now”.
I’m seeing a lot of this sentiment on Twitter from moronic eagles fans who were talking about how they’d take Jalen over all the other “loser QBs” like Burrow, Lamar, Allen etc all offseason. not saying ur one op lol
Multiple things can be true lol
Hurts isn’t elite. He’s a game manager that is reliant on his first read being open. He’s no longer as elusive as he was, and this really limits his potential as a QB since he was never known for his throwing skills or decision making. He doesn’t elevate the play of anyone around him, and he’s been the weak link on a stacked team for a few years now.
That said, he’s rarely the reason we lose, and we’ve been to two super bowls with him as the QB and won one. It’s hard to justify any argument moving on from him when the team results are that good. Obviously we wish he was more reliable and playing better, but sometimes the grass isn’t greener.
Go listen to Greg Cosell. He said what I saw. Yes, he threw 4 INTs AND he had some of his best throws of the season. That 3rd and 16 to DeVonta was next level shit.
I mean one bad game doesn’t mean he suddenly can’t play football. Even on that last drive he looked good and finally locked in for the first time in the game. That last pass was close to being a possible touchdown, it was an amazing play by both secondaries to both barely tip and 1 handed catch the pick.
Both things could be true at same time. He is not elite QB who won SB.
Nick Folles smoked Patriots, by your logic he is better QB than Brady.
Edit: Downvoting for stating facts, lol. I feel some Wentz vibes around here.
Brad Johnson won a Superbowl.
~~Vinny Testeverde~~ Mark Rypein won a Superbowl.
Jim McMahon won a Superbowl.
Joe Namath won a Superbowl.
Nick Foles won a Superbowl.
The “he won a Superbowl” thing is not a valid argument.
One of the worst games of his career and we almost won. This could be the easiest B2B team ever if the offense just got its head out of its ass.
Winning is a team stat.
Bad play or not this offensive scheme is hot garbage . They don’t run under center . They don’t use the play action pass , they don’t roll hurts out , they have minimal routes over the middle . The entire offense is being setup for failure . How do you have a beat up o line and continuously run out of the shot gun where you hand it off to a stationary running back ! You have saquon Barkley give him the best opportunity possible he can break free any time (his long run was a run from under center) . You have to set your personnel with the best opportunity possible to win and right now who ever is running this offense whether it be patullo or sirrianni is guilty of a crime against humanity . I get the players need to make plays but they are getting to the huddle with 5 seconds left on the play clock . Out of a timeout on 3rd and longish they threw it to smitty in the flat LOL what’s he going to break some tackles ? What they are doing to this offense is a crime against humanity .
🙄
Yeah he played like absolute garbage but he’s QB1 and I know he ain’t the problem. We’ve seen what he can do when his play caller ain’t Kevin Patullo.
My God, this sub needs an enema.
There’s no question he’s having a down year and he had a terrible game. That’s life – everyone has down years and bad games. He’s still a great QB and he’ll do better next time.
I wish this fanbase could be honest about Jalen and have productive conversations about him. But instead it’s one side that thinks he’s terrible and a fraud. And the other puts their fingers in their ears and keeps yelling “QB WINZ” over and over.
He was never top 5. He was top 10 his best year (2022). Right now he probably sits in the middle of the pack. He’s limited in what he can do in the pocket. He doesn’t read zone defenses well and never has. He doesn’t throw guys open with anticipation on a consistent enough basis and usually waits for them to come open. He bails from clean pockets after his first or second read isn’t there far too often. These are things some fans fail to acknowledge even though his film has shown these things pretty consistently for 5 years now. And if a film analyst tries to express these shortcomings, fans come for their throat.
On the other hand, when he running on a consistent basis he is an absolute force multiplier in the run game just like Lamar is in Baltimore. This leads to the RPO game being absolutely deadly and they basically rode it to two Super Bowl appearances in three years. He’s got a great deep ball and trusts his receivers to go get it better than almost anyone in the league. Even his harshest critics (like Steven Ruiz) are willing to give him his flowers there. And he absolutely shows up when the stage is the brightest. His two Super Bowl performances (57 especially) are all-timers. Definition of a big-game player.
And the bottom-line truth of the matter this season is he’s been pretty bad since the Bye. And this past game felt like it all came to a head. The run game stinks this year for a number of reasons. And Jalen is going to have to shoulder the offense with his arm in the pocket if they’re going to have a chance of making a run at defending their title in the playoffs. And it’s a fair question to ask if he’s good enough in that role to succeed that doing it.
Aside from the absurd amount of turnovers and even with the dropped passes, the offense looked better this week than it has the last month. We saw flashes of what we could be and the opportunities were there. We just have to execute and take care of the ball better.
Most people never liked him to begin with and I will always stand on that theory. We don’t deserve anything nice as fans
Hurts is good, not great. Like many younger QBs in the league, he’s been figured out (other than the tush push). Like someone below said, take away his first read and he’s toast and can’t push the ball down the middle.
Last season, the offensive line was great and Barkley had a record breaking year. He‘s the weakest link on the offense, guys. Just surrounded by great talent .
We’re nuts if we believe Hurts is the catalyst of some dynasty. He is not Mahomes or Brady. And even though he’s got the ring, he‘s not Allen, either.
Damn, struck a nerve yesterday with my meme
A lot of average QBs / game managers have won Super Bowls on the backs of a great RB, O-line, and D.
We need to start putting Hurts in that category, as opposed to the dynasty builder some have warped themselves into believing.
The numbers back it up.
If we win it all again at some point, I’m using this meme to counter the “five turnovers in one game lol” responses
He’s still a bum
I hope they turn it around just to shut up these insufferable bastards- almost better than another SB win.
