  1. PSA i think Mack and Keenan will make it, the post was about the younger generation, those who will still be playing in at least 5 years

  2. Pains me to say it, but neither guy is going to make it if they continue on their current trajectories

Justin has the stats, but needs some kind of postseason success. And without that, it’s tough to stand out in an era where so many QBs are putting up huge numbers.

Derwin just doesn’t have the numbers. Maybe if he were to go crazy and rack up a bunch of sacks the next few years and retire as the DB with the most sacks ever, but even then it’s a long shot. I think injuries and having Brandon Staley as a coach during his prime really screwed him over. I still love Derwin though. All-time great Charger

  3. I think Derwin will likely get in the HOF.

I love Herbs, but he’s not getting in without a SB win. I did the research like last week and only 5 QBs in the SB era have made the HOF without winning a SB. And those 5 are truly legendary QBs.

Maybe Herbert will end up with the stats and playoff resume to make his case stronger (he’s got lots of time, barring this Swiss cheese O-Line doesn’t kill him). But, he’s got more work to do to get there.

Even if he doesn’t make the HOF, don’t care. Love the guy. Thankful he’s our QB.
