ZBerm always speaks the truth. Brady had a few games with multiple interceptions. Yet he is still the “goat”. 1 bad game doesn’t mean we move on from a QB like Jalen. I’ll always back Jalen.
It’s so much easier to replace a coaching staff than a roster
Imagine the Reid and McNabb discourse in the social media era… like really the way we judge qbs on a week to week basis, it really is feast or famine. All the nuanced takes get buried.
This is the other side of always taking all the blame on yourself. Eventually people are going to believe you.
If every week you say we had a good game plan and every week you look like shit eventually people are going to just going to reach the conclusion that you are the problem.

Hurts hate is so forced man. Unquestionably played the worst game of his life, but it’s been a biblical year for QB falloffs and yet where’s the calls to bench Lamar or Mahomes or Burrow or Allen, etc? Hell, Herbert’s lucky Jalen dropped a deuce because he had a stinker himself but he won so it didn’t matter.

i posted a comment yesterday in a thread that got deleted by the mods, but basically, no other fanbase acts the way the eagles do regarding the QB.
ravens fans arent saying “we’d be winning more games if we benched lamar”, despite the fact that lamar has never won at the level hurts has in the NFL.
its fair to point out where hurts has struggled, its also fair to point out that he won a super bowl less than a year ago, and the 3 best games of his career have come in 2 super bowls and an NFC championship game.
its also fair to point out that his numbers this year have dropped off right as AJ started complaining to the owner about not getting the ball enough. prior to that, hurts was efficient enough and we were winning games. its been a total mess since.

The team doesn’t need to be blown up, but they definitely have to re-evaluate things. The pervasiveness of dysfunction (to me) suggests that coaching changes are needed.
It buys a lot of equity but doesn’t mean he can’t be heavily criticized. He’s been cheeks lately but to call for his benching is pretty stupid. The defense still gives em hope we can go on a run. These next few games are get right games so hopefully they can build some momentum
Idk why Hurts has such a short leash. He’s above average on his own, but not elite. He becomes elite when he has good coaching. We saw this in 2022 when Steichen ran the offense. Just need someone like Steichen to be back on the team and coach Hurts the right way
Yep, though I’m not happy with some of his performances, it’s not all on him. He’s looked like a deer in headlights sometimes with the shitty play calling and a seemingly endless amount of pressure every time he drops back.
But my QB won the Super bowl last year. I have faith he’ll turn it around.

Couldn’t agree more. Competent QB play that leads to SB appearances/ victory right away is not easy to find. The OC and the offensive game plan are completely to blame for Jalen’s regression. We saw it in 2023 too for chrissakes! He has been underwhelming but damn so has the scheme/ playcalling and morale on the offensive side of the ball. That’s coaching more than it’s just Jalen.
Why is this even a thing? I hate this fan base when things don’t go perfect. I hope we bench Hurts and fire Sirianni and then have a decade of Jets like success

Is he a great QB? Yes. Does he have serious holes in his game? Yes. Did he have the worst game of his career this week? Yes. Is it entirely his fault? No.
Interceptions that bounce off the receivers’ hands should not be attributed to the QB.

Last year – The offense was one dimensional until the coaching staff fixed the passing scheme and approach. The offense went on to have a historic postseason, mostly through the passing game. Jalen won SB MVP.
This year – the offense is terrible despite returning almost every player.
Whats different? The coaching staff and injuries.

I think that the eagles are dynasty killers not makers and I’m at peace with that. If we keep winning every so often, I’ll take that.
Calling for Hurts to be benched and McKee to be brought in is delusional crazy talk. Hurts did not have a great game on Monday. Even so, if AJ caught those balls we would have won. Or if Elliott made that field goal. Multiple things went wrong against the Chargers, not one thing and it wasn’t just Hurts.
I stand by my stance that Jalen wasn’t the problem last night. If AJ caught those passes we would have surely won the game and he didn’t and dropped over 100 yards.
Also running Saquon down the middle for no gain or a loss on first down constantly when we have no O-line instead of having him go outside creates a predicable offense where they can take advantage of our O-line on 3rd down and blitz hurts into making mistakes like we saw tonight.
The real problem isn’t the players it is the offensive play calling. This is the second time Nick hired within and it has turned out sour. The great thing is our defense is still elite but the offense needs to be figured out.
All I know is this sub is full of idiots that are to emotional lol. You don’t ever bench a qb1 unless you’re up 30 or his career is over.

It’s an objectively terrible year for “stellar QB Play” Even mr All American Matthew Stafford has had a few not stellar games.
Pass protection has been fine, it’s the run blocking that’s been the issue. Anyone advocating for hurts being benched is beyond ridiculous. It’s not going to happen anyway
There is not a game that goes by that I am not yelling “Throw the fucking ball!” at the television.
Hurts frustrates me so much, but because of what I know he can accomplish, I do let it go.
