Listen, I’m a Canucks fan first and fan of all hockey teams second. CBJ included. Love the team and KJ as a local boy, I’ve been psyched to watch him grow with the Blue Jackets.
We have to trade Sherwood from a Canucks POV, but i’d be beyond floored if a player like KJ came back. I’d feel for you guys if that went down.
Other fan bases always seem to think we only exist to develop and sell our top talent for Pennies on the Dollar to their favorite team. I’ve seen some insane trade takes / proposals in other subreddits and /hockey that people wouldn’t express out of embarrassment if it was in regard to an O6. But for whatever reason they think we would just take insanely lopsided trades out of virtue of nothing else other than we are the Blue Jackets.

He’s one of the most skilled on-puck players I’ve ever seen in a CBJ Jersey. You don’t give up on guys like that when they have a down year.
Ironically, Johnson has more career points than Sherwood does according to NHL.com… 122 vs 114. Johnson has played 50 less games as well.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all, the way Evason is using/developing Miles Wood over KJ & Chinny. Sherwood fits Dean’s vision of what a top 6 looks like. Just get rid of the young core and show the rest of the league how brilliant Dean & Don are by building a core group of 30+ year olds. Jenner, Monahan, Coyle, Wood & Sherwood is his (Coach) idea of a good core group. It’s that group of players he’s bending over backwards for while belittling players and being vindictive to players too young to be worth his time. It’s win now mode for him, just need more 30 year old bottom 6ers he can develop into top 6ers, like he did Wood in his humble opinion. Even his post game interviews come off as immature and recycled, never discusses anything specific that happens during any given game and when asked, he replies like he hasn’t even thought about it.
