  1. Career 120 wrc+ against right handers(126 last season) Expensive for a 4th outfielder but can use him to give Ronnie and profar days at DH.

Edit: Among outfielders with 300 PA against right handed pitching last season he was 12th in wRC+.

  2. Very solid 4th OF. I like the fit. Can easily play the field and give Acuna/profar some chances to DH and stay healthy.

  3. Depth I’m assuming? Or left fielder while profar and acuna dh? If so not an awful depth piece.

  4. I liked this guy on the Giants! Hopefully he gets some big moments for us. A guy like this is someone who fucks around and wins NLCS MVP out of nowhere for no reason.

  5. WHEN THE HELL DID HE BECOME 35??? I was thinking it was nice pickup of a guy in his late 20s / early 30s.

  6. I like that this eliminates any idea of trading for an OF/DH while not preventing us from a SS trade or signing Kim.

It also doesn’t block us from a veteran SP move

  7. Does pretty well against right handed pitching and he’s never hit in a home ball park that’s good for lefty power

  8. Not the sexiest or the cheapest signing. However, I think what has bummed me out the most after 2023 was that we let our depth slip in a championship window. This is a great 4th outfielder. Roster got better today. Let’s gooooo

  9. Interesting. His war last year was 2.8. That’d put him actually behind all Acuna at 4.4 Micheal Harris who had 3.3 but above Profar 1.3 (I don’t know how his suspension plays into those numbers.

  10. And the crowd goes mild.

In all seriousness, I don’t mind the move, and it’s probably (hopefully?) more of a sign that DH will be a rotating deal for 2026.

    But please address SS.

  11. Gonna bring good vibes to the bench though for sure. I think it’s a decent option for a 4th outfielder.

  12. I like it. I’ve been thinking this offseason we really needed another OF. One who is better than the typical “4th outfielder” type guy and is a borderline everyday starter. That way we have OF depth and can use DH in a rotational basis. Yas fits that quite well.

  13. His stats were declining until he was traded last summer. I hope we get the Yaz that he became with the Royals and not the one that was traded by the Giants.

  14. People complaining about depth all last year, Braves sign a 4th outfielder and some of you are upset. Make it make sense
