I get that part, but then pivot that money to somebody else that’s gonna dh with power.
Reds were going to have to outbid Philly to get Schwarber, matching wasn’t going to get it done. Hopefully they dont just go straight to the bargain bin after missing out on him.

The Athletic reported earlier that they were going to dump salary to be able to sign him anyway. That probably means they trade Hunter, for instance. So even if we did sign him, we wouldn’t even be getting better in the way we’d imagine.
