Tigers continue to seek more pitching, starting and relief. “At this point in December, we’re trying to add as much pitching as we can,” Scott Harris said.

  1. That’s better than I expected. Still feels a little high for a guy who hasn’t played in the majors since 2021 and couldn’t cut it in Toledo for us in 2024, regardless of the good year he had in KBO.

  2. All the pitching talk seems like a clear sign the Tigers are confident in their top hitting prospects coming up soon. I get that they’re preparing for the possibility of losing Skubal by bolstering the pitching staff, but the offense has been the much bigger issue over the last two years. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more of a push for new bats. Harris and company must have a lot of faith in McGonigle, Clark, and others to make an impact next season.

  3. Can’t wait for the pleathora of bargain bin/minor league signings that don’t move the needle

  4. Just a absolute joke. Not serious about winning. Tired of will find guys and hopefully fetter will fix them how has that worked out last year was a total disaster .

  5. He is probably going directly from the winter meetings to The Vialages to find that pitching.

  6. I just don’t get how they can say this considering their offense was so ass at the end of the year and even during the press conference Scott seemed to be in utter disbelief about how bad the offense was.

  7. Yes sign more 35+ year old arms that will either have an ERA north of 5 or won’t pitch at all.

  8. Lots of chatter about adding pitching when they still don’t have any answers at 3rd, short, or CF. I guess we can look forward to another off-season of dumpster diving, but I hope it’s just the usual poker face bs we see at the winter meetings
