  1. It was clearly a hand pass. Not to diminish anyone’s effort on the play, but “no goal” was the right call.

  2. It’s the right call by the rules.

    The rules being stupid regarding this call is another thing. Hand pass should have to be a directed motion of your arm, sort of like a kicking motion. Or something along those lines for the edge cases like this that aren’t impacting the outcome of the play.

    If the guy swiped it over to his teammate, That’s one thing.

    This was incidental contact and at best a deflection.
