Chicago Cubs Sign LHP Hoby Milner
Well, it might not be the move you were looking for, but the Chicago Cubs did make a move on Thursday afternoon. Michael Sarami was on it first. They have signed left-handed reliever Holi Milner. Uh Milner uh pitched about 70 innings last year with a 3.84 lefty uh with the Rangers. Uh but he does have a big connection with Craig Councils. He was a Brewer, I’m sure uh you could remember, um for a few years there before heading to Texas and spent some time with Council. So, uh, the Cubs, you know, the Cubs have a lot of work to do in their bullpen. This is just another step. They’ve signed Mton, now Milner. Uh, the significance with with Hobie Milner is that he’s left-handed. Uh, he’ll be a left-handed specialist, which, you know, I love I I I think you can’t have enough lefties in the bullpen. U, but what does this mean for Caleb Dealbar, Drew Pomerance, or both those guys not coming back? Would one of them come back? Because I still think I’d like the Cubs to have another reliable lefty in there. Uh, but hopefully Milner does that. I mean, his numbers aren’t going to wow you. It’s not like it’s nothing like signing Phil Maton, but the Cubs deserve some benefit of the doubt here when it comes to, you know, going to get veteran relievers like they did last year with Pomerance and Theelbar and um, you know, so hopefully Milner, he’s a side armor, gets a lot of ground balls. Uh, hopefully he has a similar year that, um, you know, like I said, Pomerance and Theelbar had last year and, uh, comes still obviously have plenty of work to do. Uh, later today, Matt and I will talk about these Nicoer trade rumors. I don’t buy it. U but Cubs Cubs get on the board, make a move here. Uh their second reliever signing of the offseason.

Solid. Now get a starter
Solid/decent signing; really going to benefit from the INF defense
I like the move.
Dodgers sign Diaz, Orioles sign Alonso, Cubs sign who?
Also added Collin Snider from the Mariners
