Is this not Kliff basically saying Terry’s holdout destroyed any offseason progress and momentum the team should have been building on?

  1. He’s not wrong. The Terry holdout definitely had an impact. Possibly adding to his injury as well

  2. He’s saying they haven’t had the whole offense healthy at the same time dating back to practices. So, Terry, Noah, Sam…then add Ekeler even when Terry and Sam came back. Then add Luke and Terry again and then Zach. It’s been a shitty, injury-riddled year with an upgraded schedule difficulty season.

  3. Eh. We’re in Week 15. I think he’s trying to say we’re on like month 5 of not having the full group.

  4. He’s saying it was everyone being unavailable including Terry. He’s not saying it was only Terry.

  5. Yeah I don’t think he’s putting it all on Terry, but no doubt he’s inferring that he was PART of that problem

  6. I read it as Kliff saying everyone sucked from very the beginning of the season, going back to training camp, and that includes JD. Terry’s holdout didn’t help, but I don’t think you can put the offense’s regression this year on one guy (and don’t think Kliff is attempting to put it on one guy; there’s plenty of blame to go around).

Reading between the lines, he doesn’t seem all that surprised we looked like crap this year. If you can’t get it going in 7-on-7, good luck against the Seahawks

  7. Yea this is what I’ve been saying all year. Peters and Harris should’ve done what they needed to to get it DONE. Not try to get a bargain for the team. Peters looking silly now

  8. It’s a lot more than Terry’s holdout. Terry got injured after he came back, Deebo got injured, Brown was injured, Ekeler went down, Daniels got injured multiple times.

Yes, Terry’s holdout wasn’t a great start, but if those guys were healthy for the first few weeks of the season it would’ve more than made up for lost training camp reps. The issue was us not staying healthy

  9. Man Quinn needs to learn from this past offseason and not be soft next training camp. If he is sitting our starters in preseason games I’m going to flip. Our starters hardly got any preseason reps.

  10. That’s a lot to put on terry. What happened to “next man up?” Is the roster construction that poor where this team was lost the second Terry held out?

  11. He’s said this same thing multiple times thru out the season and you only just caught on and decided to post? Lol

  12. No…He’s saying Terry’s holdout is one piece in the puzzle. All the injuries are the other pieces

  13. Why do we hate Terry all of a sudden? I get that he wanted more money than he’s worth be he was a top 7 receiver last year and he proved in the Denver and Chiefs game he can still play ball. We used to be the most patient fan base in the league and after 1 year that all goes out the window? Im pissed too but its not the end of the world.

  14. In my mind, he’s saying that availability was an issue across the board because we had a lax offseason program, and likely the attendance policy wasn’t strictly enforced.

  15. Well when you play a total of 4 snaps as a starting in preseason and every play was a run play. Not sure how you build chemistry with anyone on offense.

  16. No it’s not, stop with the bullshit it’s fucking exhausting. Terry holding out didn’t turn this team into a 3 win team , this defense sucks shit so bad even if the offense was healthy all season I doubt we end with more than 6 wins.
