Find the contact info for FDSN St. Louis and send it to them with a complaint. That kind of announcing has no place in the sport.
Saw it live and couldn’t beleive it. The Blues used to have one of the best broadcast crews with John Kelly and Darren Pang. These two bozos fucking suck.

Hulu/espn+ didn’t list the Nashville broadcast for whatever reason, so I settled for the blues broadcast. The commentary was like this throughout the game, though this was the most notable comment they made. One thing I do appreciate about Willy and Chris, is that they are usually respectful of both teams, no matter how bad Nashville is getting beaten.

We should all post this on the social medias and tag both teams pr account, the broadcast station, a competing broadcast station, nhl pr account and say ‘We all agree this has no place in our sport, us fans expect yall to do the right thing here’ and that guy will hopefully get shitcanned by lunch tomorrow
I heard this and called it out live as well. This is egregious. Saying something “give him whack. Let him know you’re there” is one thing, but to say you’d take a baseball swing at a players ankles, which would almost assuredly injure them, is not only disgusting, but unprofessional and should result in an immediate firing. What a gross thing to say just bc your team is getting absolutely throttled by one of the worst teams in the NHL. Fuck the blues and fuck that guy in particular. I hope something impactful comes from this.
Not from off from my internal thoughts as my beer league team is getting absolutely pummeled and there’s just a couple minutes left but they’re still shooting at my goalie.
Im gonna be real. Maybe I’m wrong but my feelings aren’t hurt. I feel like it was a joke. Even if in bad taste I wouldn’t want the guy to lose his job. Maybe a good talking to and keeping a closer eye but clearly joking. People are too serious.
