I don’t know hockey. Anyways, maybe that’s common. Who knows? Uh, anyways, beautiful Friday Vikings Sunday night football. Waiting all day for Sunday night. Uh, Vikings against the Dallas Cowboys. How about them Cowboys? How about them Cowboys losing like ass going to fall at 67 to one? 67 as rocket. I I have had enough. But of course, the the national media jabronies have not had enough. So, everybody against the Vikings. Vikings six six or six and a half point dogs only Bucky Brooks our guy standing tall we we’ll forget that he was a Packer at one time. Yeah. But come on man. So, Darasaw has been going full DNP full and Darasaw was was fine against the Commanders. Kevin McConnell did say after the game on Monday that there was no lingering injury issues. And Darasaw, I I know it’s been really touch and go with the knee. you know, when he’s been in, he’s been pretty damn solid. But I understand want to play it safe, right? But, you know, the spectre of JJ McCarthy and national national TV again, just like week two against the Falcons with uh Justin School watching his backside. I don’t know, man. I don’t know. I I’d rather play Diamond Jackson at left tackle, you know, just like he had to do in college, then put Brandle in left guard. Something to consider. But, uh, he’s DMPed twice in a row. Could be nothing. could be just extended rest. We’ll see what he does on Friday. Hawinson went from DMP to limited with his shin. Uh he should be good to go for Sunday, which is good. And the rest, you know, this time of year, who knows? Also for the Cowboys. So, a couple key DMP. Jake Ferguson, the stupid Badger, uh Limited, then was downgraded to DMP with a calf. Tyler Gayton, starting left tackle, who has not done great DMP twice in a row with an ankle. We’ll see what happens on Friday. Uh CD Lamb is work his way through concussion protocol went from limited to full on Thursday. Uh he’s likely going to go on Sunday. And speaking of CD, uh Jamacha, uh Cowboys beat Rider, Cowboys wide receiver CD Lamb is still in concussion protocol, but he seems to be on track to play Sunday. He’s a full participant in today’s practice. Lamb has been wearing a guardian cap over his helmet in practice. He said he wouldn’t wear one in a game. It’s not comfortable. Also, speaking of comfortable, uncomfortable. So you can see like CD Lamb is wearing um the heart rate monitor except it looks like a sports bra, right? And you see this with NFL players, you see this in the NBA, you see this in soccer. Why can’t they just extend it to make it look like a tank top as opposed to a sports bra? It just uh unless it’s a full-on inside joke because it’s funny to me. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, no, it’s it’s not a bazier, it’s a bro. Is it Seinfeld? Yeah. Also, so right now, actually, the Falcons aren’t doing so great right now, but Kurt Cousins dealing two touchdown passes. Kyle Pittz is him right now. Uh right now, the Falcons are down 2014. Baker was kind of ass and now he’s unass. So it’s coming around but also of course the story dour jumping Joe Burrow Vikings question mark and this does stem from Burrow having some reflective having reflective comments in um in a presser basically sounded pretty glum. I mean he’s dealt with injuries throughout his career in Cincinnati. Every single year he’s been there, the Bengals have literally had a top four or excuse me, a bottom four offensive line, getting the hellbeat out of him every single week. Could this be another Andrew Luck? Could this be Burrow retiring early? Could be. Who knows? But or Bow as Joey Burrow’s music. So, of course, if Burrow was on the trade market, it would be hot and heavy. Yeah. Best landing spots for Joe Burrow. Vikings one, Cardinals 2, Falcons 3. Uh, Jets four, uh, Raiders five. I would not wish the Jets or Raiders upon my worst enemy. Never. And the Falcons, I I mean, no. Cardinals, no. So, you got the Vikings. And now the Bengals. You would think that if they trade him, they want him out of conference. So, the Vikings make sense. Now, I I’m fully in on JJ McCarthy, but this is Joe freaking Burr, you know what we’re talking about here, right? And of course, there’s been some push backs uh on the comments. Uh Scott Quezberry, it’s actually David Quezenberry, former Vikings brother. Uh for uh Scott’s former NFL offensive lineman himself. Look, I get losing his hat. I have zero idea what Joe Burrow’s personal life look like. But if you cannot find joy playing a kids game for $50 million a year, I won’t have much sympathy for you. He could sell real estate and maybe strike gold or could work for three years and not make a dime. The grass isn’t always greener, especially for a player of Joe’s caliber. I played seven years for the minimum amount and would die for another shot. So here’s the thing to like you know Burrows made a lot of money right and at a certain point you know despite what Odell Beckham Jr. says you made so much money that you can’t spend that much realistically, right? And you do have generational wealth and your children, your children’s children and your children’s children children will be benefit from this. But also every after you get money e every extra dollar you earn has a decreasing utility to it. Decreasing marginal utility. So what’s the difference between 200 million and 300 million for Joe Burrow? Right. It it it may sound stupid on its face, but at at a certain point, you have to balance out quality of life because is Burrow happy? Oh, no. They lost they lost the Super Bowl a and the losing has to weigh on him. And also him getting the hellbeat out of him every single year because the Bengals can’t build offensive line around him. Yes, it’s could be because they pay Chase and Higgins. Uh but also their drafting has been bad and also people don’t know but the Brown the Brown family who owns the Bengals confusingly enough the Bengals are one of the cheapest organizations in the league. All right. So you all all the NFLPA report cards and all that stuff they don’t do it right. like they didn’t have an indoor practice facil facility until recently and all of the clips of like the Bengals at training camp, they have they literally have to walk across a street. Their practice fields are underneath the highway. All right, so that’s got to weigh on them. And you look at Carson Palmer. Carson Palmer got got sick and tired of getting the hell beat out of him, too. Eventually, he forced a trade to the Raiders. I don’t think this is onto the realm of possibility. Uh, I think it’s certainly possible, plausible that Burrow could either retire or request a trade or contemplate retirement and then go down the trade route. Then all of a sudden, he he gets back his love for the game. Yeah. And, you know, it’s tough, too, because, you know, Burrow’s Ohio kid, so this has to be difficult, right? But we we’ll see what happens. I I don’t think this drama is over. And you know, do I do I see Burrow on the Vikings eventually? Maybe, maybe not. And like I said, I’m still fully committed to just uh to JJ McCarthy, right? But I mean, it’s Joe Freaking Burrow. What are you going to do, right? And also uh bring me the news uh suggested this trade offer. JJ 9 for9 Diamond Dallas Turner who’s emerging as a pass rusher. Uh 2026 first and third, 2027 first and second. Uh, no. That’s a little bit too rich, right? And you know, we suggested 31 ones and Grard even though Gernard’s a stud man. I don’t know. But basically, so if you rate McCarthy and Turner each as first round picks. So basically, you’re giving up four firsts, a second, and a third. That’s a little bit too rich. Now I I I certainly would give up three first and a starter for Joe Burrow, but we’ll see. Also, Justin Jefferson, I mean, his leadership has been so damn good this season on full display. And you would think that he could have easily just requested trade jump ship, but no, he’s going to be here. Vikes fan page, Justin Jefferson, fantasy football because, you know, Jefferson was drafted pretty high. Yeah. Was ADP like number five or number six? Uh, uh, we not fighting for fantasy. That’s not really something that we’re thinking about. But we’re thinking about winning the game, feeding our families, and doing what we need to do to get uh get a better position for the season. And that’s exact exactly it. I feel like to a degree like fantasy sports and gambling and the mainstreaming of gambling have sort of warped perception of sports. Yeah. Uh but Jefferson, uh yeah, his numbers aren’t great this year. And frankly, there’s a lot of teams in the fantasy playoffs, if you made the fantasy playoffs, that are benching Justin Jefferson uh this week. So, I don’t know, like obviously things will work out, but Jefferson, you have to give him so much credit. He’s been so patient, so supportive of his guy, JJ McCarthy. Uh but that being said, Joer just reunited LSU. Let’s go. Let’s go. Speaking of receivers, Bucks fan page again, the Vikings haven’t broached new contract with Jaylen Speedy Naylor throughout the season. Alkalus mentioned on the Athletic Naylor is set to be a UFA in March. So, I wouldn’t mind having Speedy back, but also it’s not going to be like like 10, 11, 12 million bucks a year, which he’ll probably get. Honestly, I could see Speedy getting, you know, some wide receiver needy team throwing 11 million bucks a year at him. We’ll see. And also it greatly depends on how they feel about Ty Felton going forward as well as what they do about Jordan Addison. So, uh, Alkos had had a good piece about paying Jordan Addison. I would be for it, but also that passing game just has to get right, you know. Uh, Jefferson Addison, like they have to start putting up numbers, man, at a certain point. Also, a part of putting up numbers is having good protection. So week 14 uh 33rd team which is still a thing I guess a week 14 pass protection rankings listed by average of week 14 ranks in pressure rate sack rate and time to throw. Vikings end up being dead last 32 teams because you know four teams are on by. But I I know that McCarthy had four sacks but a lot of those were on him. So I vehemently disagree because honestly I feel like the Vikings offensive line and pass bro did a decent job on Sunday. But of course that’s why you can never trust anything. That’s what it comes down to. Something you can trust though is this is great. Uh Vikings ensuring Kyrie’s legacy continues to inspire others. The Vikings have nominated Ebony Jackson and Raymond Jackson for the 2025 inspire change maker award. So, the the Kyrie Jackson uh locker of hope foundation uh that was created in Kyrie’s memory, hoping to get more exposure, hoping to get some recognition and hoping to grow. And it’s fantastic, man. So, you know, Kyrie, you like I said, you know, Kyrie was here for a very brief time with his team, but his impact on teammates is just indelible. like great dude, good memories and going forward with that.
