That’s crazy they poked a hole in his lung when treating him at the facility. I am happy to hear he’s doing better and they patched up the hole in his lung so he can breathe correctly.
Insert Tyrod Taylor reference
What is dry needling??
Maybe he should take it easy for the next few weeks. If we make the playoffs he could think about coming back.
Soo… they stabbed his lung with a needle? How does that happen?! Do they go that deep to potentially puncture your chest cavity?
Damn how far did that needle
Go to puncture a lung ?!?!?!?

Fire that person immediately
Guess in his absence we’ll be able to see whether the money was worth it or not now but I’m not gonna hold my breath. 1-10 since 2017 without TJ.
Oh there’s gonna be some crow.
That said I’d rather he take the rest of the season off instead of risking the long-term health of his lungs or other complications.
Classic fake medicine bullshit
Yea someone screwed up big time.
Whelp TJ is done for the season that’s like a 1-2 month recovery
What are we doing man. Literally stabbing our biggest contracted player in the lungs lol
someone’s losing their job i bet
That damn jinx wheel needs to be destroyed. Jinxing a team to lose is all well and good when done by someone playing poorly or the other team playing well, but now its taking names and we cant have players getting hurt because of it
Surprised he would do that. I have refused that as treatment. Glad he is ok.
Perna’s Curse Wheel^TM knows no bounds…
somebody or some people are getting fired from that training staff.
Well that’s not gonna be good for business.
Alternative medicine needing to be fixed by real medicine. Great. Hoping for a quick recovery for TJ
Stay away from needling above the clavicles, dumbass. You know, just don’t do it at all.
Regardless of whether or not he plays glad he is on his way back to being healthy.
Earlier this year I was getting dry needled for a lower back injury. When I gave my consent for the procedure the physical therapist had to explicitly state that this procedure came with a slight risk of puncturing a lung, although since she was needling me basically in the butt cheek we laughed how horribly wrong the procedure would have to go for that to happen in my case. From the first headlines yesterday I had a suspicion that’s what happened.
Hopefully he recovers with no issues and can get back to what he loves to do, HITTIN MOFO’s.
I’m sure he’s had this type of treatment numerous, probably hundreds of times. I’m sure it’s why Highsmith was saying it’s a scary situation, because it’s so common that it could happen to anyone. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
We were already getting an F on the players facilities report card are we going to get an F—- this year?
I wonder how they do the surgery. How invasive is it? Do they need to make a large incision in his chest, or can they just insert a needle-like device and patch the puncture point?
PT student here, I just learned how to dry needle not long ago and the fact that this happened is kind of insane. They teach us all sorts of techniques of how to use bones as backdrops for needles so this kind of thing can’t happen when going over the lung field. This was either complete negligence of someone who didn’t know what they were doing or a freak accident. Considering it happened to Tyrod too on another team I’m guessing that people who don’t know anatomy really well are the ones trying to do this
add that to the long list of things I want to never happen to me.
How badly do you have to fuck up dry needling to go past the ribs and puncture a fucking lung.
Unbelievable.
Not a lawyer, but I guess that this is why Tomlin’s comments were so vague yesterday – liability. Internally they have to know exactly what happened.

Let’s win this one for TJ
