I am very scared of Diggs if Benford isn’t the one covering him

  1. Benford doesn’t really play the slot so he would be matched up in diggs most likely. It will be Taron and we should all be afraid of that because he’s played awful this year. I think having Poyer and Bishop playing well will help and Tre and Harriston should be ok.

  2. Season is over if benford has a long term injury like turf toe, weve seen this awesome playoff collapse from missing 5 starters on defense before

  3. Bosa, Kincaid, and Brown are all playing. Kincaid changes the entire offense. Bosa is the best player on the line right now. There’s always going to be injuries, and I think overall we’re getting healthier. Go bills.

  4. I think diggs has hit his midseason wall again and they are mostly using him in the slot now. Idk if it’s a conditioning issue or an effort issue with him or what

  5. McD said the team doesn’t think Benford’s injury is serious or long-term, I wouldn’t be surprised if he played on Sunday. Even if he doesn’t, having him out wouldn’t be catastrophic since Diggs plays mostly in the slot and Benford rarely kicks inside. Having Bosa back will be huge, esp with Will Campbell still out.

  6. Benford will play. The walking boot is precautionary and a day of rest is better for him. McDermott mind games.

  7. You have nothing to be scared of related to football, friend.
    It’s a game that you’re not playing.
Sit back, relax, have a bev and enjoy the show.
    Go Bills!

  8. I believe during the first match up the bills came in thinking it was the same soft pats.

This time around they are gonna abuse them like they do the dolphins.

  9. Kind of off-topic but also kind of on topic… If someone could be so kind as to remind me when we played the patriots in week 5 and lost who were we missing and how does it look different now, besides of course, everybody playing much better! I know we didn’t have Max back at that time.

  10. Diggs has become primarily a slot receiver and Benford doesn’t generally cover slot receivers.

  11. Diggs mostly plays in the slot now, Benford would have been shadowing Boutte instead

  12. Not ideal, but remember if Benford’s situation was serious he would have been declared out right off the bat. McDermott also said he doesn’t anticipate it being long term, so while I prefer him to be out there, it’s not the end of the world if he’s out this Sunday and even the following Sunday against the Browns.

Just make sure to clinch your spot in the playoffs and see where things go from there. Screw what the media is saying about how the Bills have all the pressure to make the SB, the way I see it, this is playing with house money with a roster that has some obvious holes. But we have the Winter Soldier, so all hope isn’t lost. Let’s just see where the ride takes us.

  13. Diggs takes almost all his snaps from the slot now. He’s getting older and can’t easily beat outside CBs anymore. And the Bills almost never play CB in the slot. Will be interesting to see if that changes.

  14. Hairston is going to break out. He’s been brought along slowly (injury means he’s fresh and has watched tape). Word is he’s coacheable. Diggs has advantage of quickness and experience but there will be a couple plays where young athleticism late in a season will shine through.

  15. I’m more concerned about Diggs lining up in the slot vs Taron Johnson than I am outside vs White or Max.

  16. Can we please put Hairston out there? Why is McD allergic to giving highly drafted rookies meaningful snaps.

  17. It was always gonna be taron guarding him in the slot anyway. But it will hurt if he is out either way.

  18. Diggs has been in the slot of late, benford probably wouldn’t cover him there, anyways

  19. I really hope they’re just being safe, but I’m almost willing to make the sacrifice if it means him being 100% in playoffs.
