And now we have this report from Clutch Points that the New York Knicks are interested in pursuing Dante Deanchenzo. The reunion is possible. Now, do you guys like the Photoshop picture I got of Dante? Because wouldn’t he look good in a New York Knicks uniform? Well, I think we all understand now. You don’t need to Photoshop a picture of Dante wearing a Knicks jersey because this is a guy that, in my opinion, was one of the most fan favorites. And when we shipped him away for Carl Anthony Towns last year, it pissed off so many Knicks fans. This is a guy who broke the Knicks franchise record when he was a member of the New York Knicks for the most three-pointers made in an entire season. if the Knicks execute this and are somehow able to bring back Dante Definenzo. Oh my goodness. Knicks fans are going to be absolutely ecstatic. So, let’s break down this report. I’m going to leave the link in the description for you guys to check it out yourselves. So on clutch points, the article says December 15th marks the date when most players who sign fresh contracts during the offseason become eligible to be traded. Knicks veterans Jordan Clarkson, Landry Shamid, and Yabusellle will no longer have restrictions on their trade status. So I’ve been saying this for the last few weeks now, that that December 15th date, which is right around the corner, is the date to watch because that’s when trades are going to start happening, not just with the Knicks, but across the NBA. League sources tell Clutch Points that the Knicks have had discussions with two Western Conference teams about potential trades with Pelicans guard Jose Alvaraldo and Timberwolves guard Dante Dvenenzo. That is massive. Now, we already talked about Joseé Alvaraldo in a video uploaded on the channel literally today. So, if you’re interested to hear my thoughts about that breakdown, definitely go check that out. This one is going to be all about Dante De Vincenzo. This is crazy. Now, the reunion with Dante is going to take a lot because his contract is a little bit more expensive than Jos Alvaraldo. So, it’s going to take a little bit for the Knicks to get creative to with that second apron. And I’m really curious to see what it’s going to take in order for that to happen. But, it seems like according to this report here, the Knicks are potentially they do have an asset that the Timberwolves are interested in. So, let’s get deeper into this article. Bringing the three-point specialist back to Madison Square Garden where he had a career year could could make sense for both sides. The Timberwolves, however, would need to agree to any trade, bringing the Wildcats back together. One source familiar with the situation told Clutch Points that Minnesota sent New York’s front office several trade proposals that the sides did not come close to any agreement. The Timberwolves are said to have some interest in the protected first round pick the Knicks are owed by the Washington Wizards. According to league sources, that pick is protected if it ends up being any of the draft’s first eight selections. However, the daunting second apron has made assets like these increasingly desirable as teams look for any way possible to duck severe tax penalties. So, that really is what it comes down to. What do the Knicks have that the Timberwolves would be interested in? And it seems like it is that first round pick that is owed by the Washington Wizards that is a protected pick. And this also has to be brought up. Of course, the Giannis entered the Kmpo situation. It really feels like it’s a one-sided street where Giannis wants the Knicks, but the Knicks are really aware that it’s going to be really hard for the Knicks to pull this off. So, they’re pivoting right now to guys like Dante, guys like Jose Alvaraldo that are more realistic options. Not to say the Giannis situation dream is dead just yet, but it definitely seems like the Knicks are opening up their minds. And I can tell you right now, if Dante becomes a New York Knick and they’re able to get him in the building, that is going to change everything, absolutely everything for the Knicks this season. And I really do believe that we are missing that pure sharpshooter right now. Jordan Clarkson, I love him off the bench so far this year. He can score. I absolutely love him. But Dante Deenzo, we all know what he’s capable of. I mean, the guy’s a flamethrower. He can knock it down from anytime. And the best part about this version of the New York Knicks is what? Chemistry. It’s bringing the Villanova boys together. And every time we’re seeing Josh Hart, Brunson, and Bridges out there, and we all feel that missing fourth piece to the puzzle, which is Dante Devenzo. And I can guarantee you that every single Knicks fan would do whatever it takes to bring Dante Duchenzo back. But of course, the big question is, what do the Knicks have to sacrifice in order to make this happen in terms of personnel? When we talked about the Joseé Alvarado trade, we brought up Tyler Kolick as an option, Pakcom Dadier. You know, the veterans that are brought up in this article is of course Jordan Clarkson, Yabuselle, Landry Shamut, who is injured right now. Maybe there’s a package of a veteran of a Jordan Clarkson plus a Kolic and a daddy and that pick. It has to work out financially as well, of course. But if I’m Leon Rose and it seems like he already is talking to the Minnesota Timberwolves about this, you do whatever it takes. I prefer Dante Duchenzo over Jose Alvarado at any day. Now, if they can execute both of them somehow, that would be awesome. But I think that’s a little unrealistic here. But if you’re a Knicks fan and we get the breaking news that Dante Devenzo returns, I can’t even imagine how elated this fan base would be because when we traded away Dante and Julius Randall for Carl Anthony Towns, it was really interesting to see the difference of the fans being divided. They all were so upset about the departure of Dante Devenzo and not Julius Randall. And Randall was, I got to give him credit, the first guy that came here that kind of was the beginning of the turnaround of this organization. Of course, Randall had an up and down career with the New York Knicks. Had a lot of highs, but a lot of lows as well. But Dante was one of those guys that Knicks fans embraced because he brought that edge, that energy that just sparked that really this Knicks team and this Knicks fan base felt. and he brings that swagger to him that I feel like would be an absolute home run if the Knicks are able to bring him back. Now, I feel like the February 5th trade deadline is of course the realistic target for this. I think that in January is when things are really going to start picking up in terms of the Giannis situation, Dante Devenzo, Jose Alvarado, and it seems like the Knicks are aggressive to add pieces off the bench because with the injury to Landry Sham, that’s really the only guy I look at on this team that is that pure sharp shooter. Again, Clarkson can shoot, but Shamut is that guy. And now with him injured, we need that replacement. And Dante is that 3 and D and the chemistry is what the difference is. That’s what makes this trade a big big thing. And if he can come in here and be an addition off the bench to what the Knicks are already doing here, I’m telling you right now, Knicks fans are going to be jumping for joy. You see the stats he’s putting up so far this season. 13 and a half points per game, four rebounds, 3.7 assists, shooting around 41.4% from the field, and 38% from three-point land. I mean, the numbers don’t even matter to me. We all know what Dante Devenzo is with the Knicks. I feel like you don’t need me to tell you guys the type of player he is. If you’re a Knicks fan and watched him that season, we know how fantastic he is as a basketball player and how much he fits with this squad. And remember the beef he had with Tom Thibido. I feel like if Tibs was still here, it wouldn’t really be possible. But now that the Knicks have Mike Brown, he’s a perfect piece for what Mike Brown is trying to do. The offball movement is what I always adored with Dante Duchenzo. moving without the ball, getting open, and just letting that thing fly, catch and shoot. The Knicks scheme that they’re running right now with Mike Brown and this offense is an absolute perfect fit for Dante Duchenzo.
