Dec. 7: Postgame Interviews
Yeah, I mean I think that’s huge. You know, I think we’ve been, you know, trending the right direction, just playing for each other, making plays. I think, you know, when we’re at our best and we’re playing, uh, you know, four lines, getting in deep, you know, kind of rolling them over. I think the offense will come. So, um, you know, we got a lot of skill up front, you know, obviously you’re missing a few guys, but uh, we really pull through together for each other and it was a big win. How would you describe, uh, your chemistry with Braden right now? Yeah, it’s, you know, super fun guy to play with. Um, we’re always always talking off the ice, on the bench. Um he’s really predictable to read off of and he he’s so strong on the puck. He always makes good plays. So, you know, he made a hell of a pass to me there and uh just try to return the favor for him. Yeah. What were we reading on your system in the the third period there? Yeah. Well, I mean started with Broy and Mojo getting out of the zone and uh you know, Mojo burning up the wall making that play. Um you know, I just trying to support him. Puck came loose and then saw Shenner coming through their div sliding over. So, just quick sauce over and he made a hell of a shot. Uh offensively, do you guys need a night like this to put up four? Yeah. Um, you know, I think, uh, you know, we’ve been playing hard in spurts and we’ve, um, you know, trying to do the right thing offensively and sometimes it doesn’t go your way. And tonight we got a couple bounces. I got one on the, um, uh, first goal. Uh, Holly made a great effort on my second goal to give us a twoon-one. And, um, you know, I think we we’re slowly building our offensive game. And, uh, by no means I think I feel like where we need to be, but at least it’s a step in the right direction. How would you describe your chemistry with Dylan right now? Yeah, I I said it just on um the network there that uh I I’ve always enjoyed playing with him because um he’s hard, he’s physical, he plays the right way. Um he plays with an edge. Um you know, and he can see the ice and shoot the puck. So, he’s a special player and he’s going to be a good player for a long time this week. The third period to get the win. Yeah. Yeah. Um Yeah. I I don’t think it was um I said it was it’s uh back to back for both teams and there’s going to be a little little bit of u you know momentum swings and um but just to go out and uh I think the way we started the second period obviously we could have uh eased into it and we were able to get two quick ones right away to um you know uh give us a little confidence momentum and uh we were able to you know hold on until we got that fourth goal and Ber made a big save at the end to give us the win. Can you describe the emotions you went through in the last 5 seconds of the game when the Bennington intruded the puck and Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Those those are always obviously tough. You don’t know if you’re supposed to hold it, freeze it, and take the face off or um you know uh 2 seconds is a long time and and uh you know uh there’s a lot of good players in this league that uh will make you pay and uh and fortunately that um you know they made a good play and B is able to uh cover up for that. Were you caught by surprise when they pulled the game with like almost six minutes left during the four? No, I think that’s smart coaching. It’s uh they’re down two. Um you know, they get their best players on the ice and it turns into a power play. We can’t ice the puck. So um you know, obviously I think that’s just a good way to to coach and take advantage of a situation where um you know, they’re down two goals and trying to get one. What you guys are going through injury-wise right now, what can you say about the your group kind of pulling together? Yeah, guys just buying in for one another. um you know, guys stepping up in different roles. There’s a lot of juggling juggling with lines and and uh guys are trying to find it and guys are playing in different positions from shift to shift. Uh but at the end of the day, there’s there’s no complaints and uh guys are going out there and playing hard for one another and uh when you do that, you start to to build something and and you can feel it. And um like I said, I think we’ve uh had a good response in Boston. Well, it was nice to see guys making plays. You could tell in the first period that um like we were more creative. We were snapping the puck around one touching it. I didn’t think we were very physical in the first, but then I thought our intensity improved in the last two periods and the offense kept up. What kind of uh sparked that in the start of the second period? Oh, I I think Shenon Holloway sparked it. You know, it was a great defensive play there by I forget who it was that made a great defensive play, but we broke it up and we go for and then 55 makes a great pass right to Shen and then Shen makes a great play to Holloway. Gave us some momentum and then we got to the goal line on the next shift and Thomas made a great pass to Buchcci. Yeah. And what makes Shen and Holloway? Why does that work? Well, it’s nice to see it work, you know? It’s it’s awesome because last year it was so important to our team and them two along with uh Kyu were dominant in the league, you know, so it’s nice to see it starting to come. And Bavic, how do you feel about the way his uh offensive game is trending right now? Good. You can see him starting to make the quick plays that we’re used to him making very creative plays whether he’s passing or scoring in the third period. Did how you guys were connected tonight? Everything seemed to work for you guys. Yeah, I thought we were connected like on our breakouts and through our neutral zone, especially with the puck. Uh defensively, we had some mishaps, but Canadians are a good team. They’re going to make you pay. Third periods the last two nights. What stood out to you about the way you guys have locked down leads? Well, it’s the desperation we’re playing, the intensity, and how guys are talking to each other and helping each other out on the ice. I know a win is a win, but like the when you have wins like that, tight back to back on the road, like can that spring you guys now? Yeah, especially we’re short a lot of bodies, right? We got four regulars out and so it’s it’s nice, you know, when everybody’s digging in. We got guys up from Springfield playing really well for us. So, it’s it’s it’s a good feeling in the locker room right now. Sunquist. Okay. Emotions on the bench in the last 5 seconds of the game when when Bennington threw the puck, it looked like a done deal and came back in front. Yeah. Uh it’s a real smart hockey play by Bennington because usually the game ends when you do that. Now we got to make sure that everybody’s on the same page and that uh we have better sticks and don’t let that pass come through. So Bennington doesn’t have to make a great save like he did. Okay. Yes, he’s fine. What do you make of just Bington’s performance and what has been a more difficult season for him? Well, I don’t think it’s Oh, um, if you’re looking at statistics, you would, you know, but Bennington is such a winner. Like, you know, it doesn’t matter the stage, he always has the ability to bounce back because of his mental toughness, his belief in himself. And he was outstanding tonight.

Bro see how happy we are let’s keep it this way see what happens when u actually shoot the puck
Standard @zw2008 doesn't show up to run his mouth any game this team wins but you can bet your house on him being here crying like a baby on any loss. Bandwagon hater.
Relatively easy win without Kyrou. Couple goals against were weird, but those don't typically happen often enough to be concerned about. That game was a complete effort.
