Wanted to share some general stats related to Bub's passing given recent discussions about Bub's adjustment to PG.
Bub continues to be one of the better facilitators for the team, which is shown through the charts.
Last night showed that he still has some room for growth and flashed what he may be capable of in the future.
As many have mentioned, his facilitating and passing would open up much more if his overall scoring improved inside the arc and was consistent from 3.

I’m a Bubliever.
I want him to succeed badly on this team I don’t like to give up on a 20 year-old in his second year.
I think the Wizards have a certain art to tanking. I think they play players out of position or have them focus on areas of improvement. This helps the tank and helps the players develop certain skills. For example Sarr had the green light to launch 3 pointers last year. He’s not the best at it but it helped his development and he rightfully has focused this year on scoring around he basket but its good that he occasionally does take a pull up 3.
I think it’s the same of Bub. We need a top pick. I think they are encouraging him to work on playmaking skills because its an area they would like for him to improve on. The rest of his career he might be a SG but the experience of running point will make him a better all around player and in the short term help the tank.
Might as well keep getting milage out of this stat I looked up last year, which gave me some decent hope of his development trajectory. It’s very hard to be a young PG in this league.
I looked at rookies, 21 and under, since 2000 who had >4 assists and <2 TO (Bub ended with 1.7 TO last year fwiw).
It’s a very solid list of players: Tony Parker (19), Haliburton (20), Deron Williams (21), Mike Conley (20), Trey Burke (21), Kemba Walker (21), and Bub (19).
