We are DLSS Maz, your favorite guys coming. a favorite team, especially when they win their third straight game at home to take down the Nets 119 to 111 as Cooper Flag leads the Mavericks tonight. And Anthony Davis as well. Cooper Flag 22 points, five rebounds, eight assists tonight. Anthony Davis with a monster second half as the Mavericks hold the Brooklyn Nets to one point in the final three minutes and 10 seconds of this game to get their fifth win in the last six contests, improving to 10 and 16 on the season. We’ll break it all down here for you over the course of the next hour here on our DLS mass postgame show. Thank you so much for joining us here on DLLS Sports as the Mavericks found a way to get it done against a uh sharp shooting Brooklyn Nets team from three-point line tonight, Bobby. Uh but a win is a win in this league and the Mavericks got one tonight. Yes. Two things. Number one, in a couple years, Cooper Flag is going to be one of the best players in the NBA. And it might not be a couple years. It might be sooner than that. He is unbelievable. Um, he can go right, he can go left, he can finish in the open floor, he can finish at the rim in the half court, he can make something out of nothing. His jumper is still very shaky and yet he is efficiently cracking 20 pretty much every night now. Um, 22 points, eight assists, no turnovers tonight. They were doubling and fronting and and really kind of honing honing in on AD in the first half and Coupe just completely took over as a scorer and then in the second half they said, “All right, Coop’s got it going too much. Let’s focus on him too.” And Coupe became a facilitator. Um, and he also blocks shots and he also steals the ball and he also rebounds and he also switches. He defends up, he defends down. He literally does everything. If I I shouldn’t even say if, I should say when he develops a jump shot, the NBA is in trouble. He is really really really freaking good. That’s number one. Number two, the second half of this game was a very good demonstration uh and reminder that Anthony Davis is still one of the best players in the in the NBA. You know, in the first half, the Nets, I would say more so than any other team the Mavs have played this year, really, really tried to limit AD. I mean, they were fronting him. They had guys lurking on the weak side. The Thunder were doing it, too. But the Thunder the It feels like the Thunder have an extra defender out there. So, like I you kind of have to eliminate them because they’re just that much better than everybody else. But the Nets were really really adamant about keeping AD off the the score sheet in the first half. In the second half though, Coupe got it going and some other guys had it going and so they couldn’t really focus in on AD to the same degree and AD just completely took the game over. In the second half, he had 20 points. Um he basically kind of did nothing for a large portion of the game. Still ended up with 24 points, 14 boards. He had three steals, he had two blocks, uh three assists. Like that’s just a stat line you don’t see very often. So when you have a guy that is still one of the best players in the league, one of the best players at his position, and then you have this emerging force that is going to be one of the best players in the league, that is going to be one of the best at his position very soon, it makes you uh it makes you feel things. As Ron said on the pregame show, it it makes you feel things in in various parts of your body. Uh it gets you real excited. No one said that Tyler was better than Anthony Davis, so relax. uh in the chat. Just wanted to make sure I addressed that. No one said that. I thought there was a little disrespect being showed to Tyler Herro, but Andy Davis clearly when he’s healthy, a top 20 player uh still in this league. Uh and proved so tonight was very effective on the defensive end, blocking shots, altering shots, uh being the powerful rim deterrent that he is. Dominated, especially in the second half when it came to his ability to clean up the glass, and really took it to the Brooklyn Nets. and a Nets team that came in uh knocking down shots, especially from the three-point line. Give the Mavericks a lot of credit for hanging in there. And you don’t apologize for wins in this league. The Mavericks now improved to seven and nine at the American Airlines Center this year. 5- one in their last six games. Third straight home win. And they improve to 8 and 11 in clutch games where they played their 19th clutch game of the season. So for a Mavericks team that got a lot of contributions from a lot of different guys tonight, whether it was Max Christie knocking down threes in this game, he was able to go what was four of nine from downtown. Uh Naji Marshall, another really good game, 17 points going an efficient six of nine from the field. and Cooper Flag. What else can you say about the young man who will be 19 years old in nine days, 22 points, stuffing the stat sheet with the eight assists uh and the zero turnovers, pulling his best Ryan Nimhard tonight uh is the Cooper flag, going 10 to 17 from the field and continuing to show the entire variety of his game, whether it’s driving to the basket and finishing with the left hand, being able to knock down the mid-range, finishing in the open floor. Uh, one of the best moments that didn’t happen was his driving down the middle of a lane looking for a poster dunk. Wasn’t able to finish it. Uh, but just continuing to show the maturity in his game. And I thought tonight, uh, a professional win for a team that faced a Nets team that’s been playing a little bit better as of late. Uh, withtood the three-point barrage from Brook Brooklyn where they went 17 of 39 from the three-point line, shooting nearly 44% from three overall in this game. Mavericks shooting nearly 49%, Brooklyn dropping down to 45% by the time we got to games end. But I think the biggest takeaway for me tonight, Bobby, is that there were a number of guys that did a number of different things that they were capable of to be able to get this win. Even with a guy like PJ Washington who was in significant foul trouble uh throughout the course of this game, everyone did a little bit of something to contribute to a a team win against Brooklyn here. Yeah. And I mean, again, with him, you know, it always comes down to the last few minutes whether they win or lose. is basically, you know, the Mavs are going to be it’s going to be a three-point game with 226 left. Like, it’s just you just know. Um, and oftent times, you know, throughout the season up to this point, at least up until AD came back, oftent times unless Coupe was just going to go to that special place kind of out of nowhere, it was very likely that the other team was going to have the best player on the floor. And you know, in basketball, in pro basketball, in the NBA, the team that has the best player on the floor in a tie game with three minutes to go is usually the team that’s going to win. Um, the team that has the best shot creator, I should say. Now, you know, tonight, Coupe in the fourth quarter, zero points. He’s been like a fourth quarter hero this year, but in the fourth quarter tonight, AD 11 points. Now, it took him 11 shots to get there, but 11 points and nine boards, too. How about almost a double double in one quarter? um you know the Nets I guess the two the two guys that had the ball the most in the fourth quarter for the Nets one Danny Wolf who was really shot reluctant for most of the game and then kind of was like all right I’m just going to start shooting in the third and fourth and it was kind of funny but he made a step back three which is wildass but um you know he’s looking to pass a guy that’s never really looking to pass is Michael Porter Jr. And you know, the Mavs just they put the clamps on him in the like he did not get many or really any easy looks for much of the second half, especially in the fourth quarter. And so, you know, tonight was a nice glimpse of what life is like on the other side and what we’re used to seeing around here, you know, have been used to seeing for a really long time, which is when you have the best player, you’re going to win. And AD was the best player in the fourth quarter. And probably the second best player on the court in the fourth quarter was PJ Washington. Uh, and probably the third best player, even though we didn’t score, was Coupe. So, um, yeah, I mean, they just, it’s it’s just really, really nice whenever you have the best player. I I lamented that earlier in the year because the Mavs rarely ever had the best player on the floor, but now that 80’s back, sometimes they have the two or even three best players on the court at the same time. And that is that’s pretty that’s going to be pretty tough to beat a lot of nights. And this game was extremely competitive throughout the entirety of tonight’s game until the last three minutes where the Mavericks were able to put the clamps down on the Nets offense. With the win tonight, the Mavericks proved to 10 and 16. And with the Grizzlies lost, the Mavericks are now a game and a half behind Memphis uh for what would be the nine seed. Oh boy. In the West after Utah uh actually got the win over Memphis tonight on going to host that 910. We’ll see as uh the Memphis Grizzlies got John Mor back tonight but still lost at home. The Mavericks next opponent of course will be on Monday when they go visit uh Keonte George and the Utah Jazz. Kee George had a big night tonight. You see a setling like 38 or something. The pride of Lewisville flirted with the 40point game. Man, Kee can score, man. What the one thing he can do, he can score and fill it up. He’s been really good for them. Speaking of Lewisville, Wild Fork Foods, tomorrow noon to two, we’ll all be out there. The Lewisville location, Josie and Windhaven. We’ll see you there. And we’ll tell you more about that a little bit later on in our show. Let’s take our first break here on the D. We only started at 05. Oh, we did. That’s right. I look, I’m so used to the 10 o’clock. I mean, we could hit a super early. No, no, we don’t have to. That is That is on me. That is on me. Uh, for sure. Because Yes, we did. We got to address the elephant in the room, which is the elephant in the chat. All right. Danny Wolf and Tim Ko are the same guy. I think that it’s pretty safe to say, right? Uh, yes. I have not seen them in the same room before. Have you? Uh, no, I have not. Uh, and Tim Danny’s three, that step back three-pointer that he had off the dribble. That was kind of nasty. I didn’t know Ko had that in his bag. Um, but he did and knocked it down. One of the um, how about when he passed open the wide open layup? That was that was really upsetting. Bobby said it and he it was exactly Don’t say what I said. I said some really foul language. No, you can say you went full Ben Simmons on that play. Yeah, like what? I said a couple other words. All right. Yes. I wasn’t going to say those. Okay. But yeah, he went full Ben Simmons. He had a wide open later and passed it out to a three-pointer shooter who promptly missed the three-pointer. Um so yeah, Danny Wolf had a very interesting game uh to say the least at times uh against the Dallas Mavericks. But look, man, you win a game like this. You’re now five and one in your last six. The I I know, Oscar. I got to lock in. You’re right. I got to lock in, man. You’re right. Um, so now you continue hopefully to build upon this where you’re executing better offensively. You’re getting contributions from guys. we mentioned a little bit earlier, you know, not the best game for Ryan Nhard, but at the same time, other guys picking him up to be able to not only run and facilitate offense, uh, but in Cooper Flag’s case, really utilize some good vision. One of the more funny plays of the game, um, Anthony Davis is on the right hand side of the floor and he’s looking to throw a crosscourt pass to Max Christie on the left wing for a three-point attempt. And here comes Cooper Flack darting in the middle of the floor to intercept the pass. and promptly finishes uh it at the rim and you saw the big smile between both Cooper uh and AD. It was just some wild moments in this game, some funny moments um that you were able to see, but most importantly the Mavericks find a way uh to get it done. It was the two best players on this team leading the charge which right now you’re short-handed. No D’Angelo Russell tonight as he was out with illness obviously Derek Live the second done for the year. Daniel Gaffford missing yet another game unfortunately with the right ankle injury. So, the Mavericks playing short-handed uh find a way to beat a game Nets team uh who themselves I thought played pretty competitively for the most part. Yeah, it’s a really chaotic game and uh there were 31 combined turnovers if my math is correct. Uh your math would be correct. Oh my god. Thank god that would have been really embarrassing. Uh Coupe had zero. Had zero. In a game like that where everyone was just giving it away and there were charges and there was dribbling off your foot. There was some really bad passes. You know, everyone kind of gets catches the itis. Uh Coupe didn’t. Zero turnovers. He becomes here’s a little the most esoteric trivia. Oh, wow. Of the night. All right. 22 points, eight assists, five boards, one steal, one block. That’s what he did with zero turnovers. The only other two rookies ever to do that in a game, Steve Francis. Oh, wow. And Dave Greenwood. Was it like in the 60s or something? That was in 1980. Oh, it never heard of that. Dave Greenwood. He played for the Bulls and the Spurs and the Nuggets and the Pistons. Oh, wow. Shout out Dave Greenwood. Shout out to Dave. He’s on a list with Cooper Flag. Okay. And Steve Francis. That’s pretty cool. Steve Francis was a baller, man. Quite the collection of names there. Yeah, that’s a random set of names uh to have that particular stat line. Um, by the way, as we mentioned how competitive this game was, uh, check this out. 23 lead changes and 16 ties uh in this game, including being tied with the final 3 minutes and 10 seconds left in this game. So, I thought the Mavericks came into tonight a seven and a half point favorite. Brooklyn give them credit on the road uh knocking down a lot of threes to keep themselves in it, but just some curious decision- making uh in the final three minutes of tonight’s game. Michael Porter Jr. looking at you um to allow the Mavericks to be able to finish it off in the end. Now, Oscar, we’re going to take our break. Wait a minute, El Patel. Does this haircut make me look like Zack Edy? No way. Right. Do I look like Zack Edy? Go to break. I know. I have very pronounced eyebrows and kind of like that. What are we doing here? The eye thing. I don’t think I look like Zack. He’s coordinated. I don’t know what Zack Ed is. I’m What? You’re coordinated, dude. Zack Edy had like No, you’re right. He’s 40 rebounds in a game recently. He can’t play. I couldn’t get 40 rebounds in pickup. We’ll see one day. Maybe we will. Maybe we’ll stream it. We’ll stream you. I’ll play basketball on camera. I don’t care. Whatever. Oh, okay. 50,000 subs. If we If we can get to We did that. We had We get to 50,000 subs tonight. I’m playing basketball on camera. How What are we at? Like 38,000. There’s no way we’ll get there, right? 40,000 before the end of the year. I thought we were going to break. You can just push the button. Oh, no. You can’t. Wait a minute. Never mind. When we come back, the turning point of tonight’s game as we discuss the final three minutes and 10 seconds of tonight’s game. All that more coming up next. Make sure you like, comment, and subscribe to DLLS Sports. While you are here, Sheldon Finn with the 499 super chat. Cooper keeps getting better every month with this version of the Mavericks keeping Kyrie and AD. What type of player uh would make this a legit contender? Um, Kyrie’s got to be good. Like, he’s got to be like Kyrie, Kyrie, you know. Um, I think that they could use a big with some shooting. And, you know, if you want to contend, you got to upgrade at Max’s spot or Naji spot, whoever’s getting the start. Uh, I guess it depends on the night. But, you know, PJ, I think, clearly is good enough to start on a on a title team. But, I think you need you need someone at that offg guard spot with Naji’s playmaking, Max’s shooting, and someone else’s defensive ability uh that can defend point of attack a little bit. So, that’s really hard to find, but if you can, then you know, you got a that’s a pretty nasty team. Ira with the $5 super chat, would it be better to keep Anthony Davis till the summer to get a better trade? also tried to trade um what is that? uh tried to trade uh oh like AI tried the trade machine probably it could not trade he could not trade Cayla Martin uh fire what I don’t or Nico I don’t look he’s already fired he’s maybe Nico again maybe trying to fire again um uh would it be better to keep Sorry what was the the first part of the question Tanner can you go back would it be better to keep Davis till the summer to get a better trade probably and that’s what Stein said that you know once you get in the off season you know everyone has a little more breathing room and everyone’s a little more flexible because you can carry more than 15 guys and you don’t have to technically you don’t have to carry the minimum number of players either. So um it is a a little easier to pull off trades like that you know around draft time but we’ll see if they keep winning there’s no reason to trade them you know. Yeah, I mean we will see how that continues to go for for Dallas. I mean look tonight you get 56 rebounds as a team, 33 assists uh as a team as well. You force 17 turnovers. Uh you get 18 stocks uh with the blocks and steals tonight. And overall, you have made your best defensive stand in the time that you needed to make it most, which was that final 3 minutes and 10 seconds, which was the turning point of tonight’s game in what was a nip and tuck game back and forth. 23 lead changes, 16 ties, uh, competitive game, and Brandon Williams making a go-ahead three-pointer with 250 left. That gave the Mavericks a lead uh, that they didn’t look back from. A player that has been struggling from the three-point line this season. Brandon Williams makes the biggest shot of the game and the Mavericks are able to hold it down defensively uh in the last three minutes. And those are the kinds of things that you look for in terms of being able to make the key stops that you need to in the end uh but also getting some big time shot making uh from a guy who has been struggling from the three-point line. In fact, that three-pointer that Brandon Williams made tonight was in fact the only three-pointer that he took and made uh tonight and it came in the biggest portion of the game for Dallas. Yeah, I think it’s a it’s an interesting question. So, Marco asks, “Why fire Nico, but keep his players?” Um, this team still needs to be blown up starting with 80 elsewhere. I think like the the big difference, I mean, I think there’s a very important distinction between, you know, at least Nico stated and reported vision for the team, which was size, size, size. you know, right now the Mavs have won five out of six, um, including some wins against really good teams like Denver and and Miami um, and Houston, but playing 80 at the five and playing Nimhard at the one, whereas, you know, I think Nico pretty clearly wanted DLO to be the starting point guard and wanted AD to play the four alongside either Gaffford or Lively. So some of some of this is just like a matter of circumstance. You know, with no Gaffford and with no Lively, AD has kind of been thrust into playing the five, which he himself has said many times and just said recently that he doesn’t really want to do. Um, but if the team keeps winning, it’s like, man, I don’t know, like you kind of have to, but especially with Lively out for the season, you know, they don’t really have any other options, frankly. Um, and then DLO has been, you know, he’s just not been good enough this year to start. sometimes not even good enough to play. So, um you know, some of the things that Nico wanted for this team have not worked out at all. Obviously, um you know, some of the players have, but in roles that maybe they weren’t necessarily projected to play this year. Yeah. And you look at what this team Sarah makes a great point. The fact that there aren’t as many awful teams this year means maybe we can hang around and make the tank decision. Well, there’s some garbageio out here. Yeah. like the West is not nearly as strong as what we thought it was going to be, you know, coming into this season and the bottom of the West clearly uh is much worse uh than when we thought. Shout out to the Clippers for that one. Um yeah, I mean it could be like most teams decide to tank in like February. Yeah, mid to late January, February is kind of when it’s like, “All right, let’s commit.” Yeah, for sure. I mean, Utah could find themselves doing that again, maybe. Uh the Pelicans are just just bad. They they’re just awful. They’re going to be in there anyway. Um and right now a 10- win. Playmakers. He literally he uh AD gave an interview. We didn’t play the audio on the show, but when was it Monday? Tuesday. Mhm. Um someone asked AD at at Mavs practice either Monday or Tuesday of this week about playing the five. And uh his quote, this is paraphrasing, but his quote was uh you know, we have two great centers, Gaffin Live. This is before the lively news broke. and he said, uh, you know, hopefully they’re back soon and they’re able to play the five cuz I prefer playing the four. I like playing the four. I feel good at the four. Whatever he said. Uh, he mentioned that he does like playing the four and prefers that to playing five. But that was before the lively news broke. So, I’m sure, you know, he’s probably, like I said, there’s not really any other options at this point. I mean, Jason Kid said that exact same thing. I mean, when he was, you know, discussing the idea of, you know, Anthony Davis remaining at the five and what that’s going to look like, kids said, and I quote, “Well, he has no choice.” Like, did he? Wow. Yeah. Did he really? Yeah. Kids like, “Well, he has no choice. That’s awesome. He’s playing Yeah. He’s playing the five. Like Anthony Davis has said on record many times as Bobby just said, like he wants to play at the four. He wants to play alongside a center. The Mavericks can’t afford him not to play the five right now. I mean, even when Gaffford comes back, if you start AD at the four and start Gaffford at the five, then your only bigs off the bench are Musa Cis. I was going to say the Mets still have two great centers right now. It’s AD and Oh, and Moose. Yeah. Okay. Three. Okay. Maybe three. Yeah. Yeah. Three great centers. Yeah. But then once Gaffford’s back and then if you do move AD to the four, then you’re Are you bringing PJ off the You’re bringing Naji off the bench? Are you moving Coupe back to guard? Like I don’t know. It just feels like everything falls into place way better with 80 at the five, especially on offense. Yeah. And Dwight Pal was an unsung hero tonight. I thought he played well tonight for Dallas. Yeah. He did exactly what he’s capable of doing, which is bring energy, bring some hustle, get some garbage points, and really be able to continue to help uh provide some good minutes while Anthony Davis catches a little bit uh of the bre of a breather. So, yeah, Dwight Pal I thought was really good uh tonight for Dallas. Yeah, this is going to be a conversation that continues to go on, which is, you know, what’s best for AD as far as him playing at the four or the five. Right now, he has to play the five and the spacing is much better. You see the defensive anchor that he is, especially being able to man in the middle, whether he’s playing drop covers where he’s able to play out in in space like he does a lot. Um, and they’re going to have to keep him there because we have no idea right now when Daniel Gaffford uh is coming back. He was listed as doubtful coming in tonight. Missed the game once again. We already know the situation uh with Derrick Aliva the second and right now you need him to continue to play effectively as he did uh at the five position and he gives you a number of different things that the Mavericks need um defensively. So it’s working. It’s working right now. Uh so if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Um other guys were really good tonight, too. Naji Marshall continues to play well. Um, Naji, the three, the thing I’m excited about for Nagi right now, the three ball’s been a little bit better for him as of late and he’s starting to knock that down with a little bit more regularity. Had another 17 points again tonight, six and nine from the field, had four assists as well. Um, he loves getting into the paint at one point as the game started. Uh, you see him within the restricted areas, shooting 24-28 at one point in that area and he continues to give the Mavericks a lot of scoring. uh now in a bench role or excuse me in a starting role as he’s been starting in the last few games uh and really giving them some nice lift now in the starting lineup with Max Christie coming off the bench knocking down the three-pointers. Uh a subtle change in the lineup but one that Bobby has been working for this team and Naji’s been really good as a starter alongside this group here. Yeah, I think he’s a he’s been a big beneficiary of um again of of AD playing at the five because whenever AD was at the four at the beginning of the year, Naji got off to like a horrendous start. Now granted, pretty much everyone on the team got off to a really bad start statistically. Um but with Naji playing this kind of offg guard role on offense, kind of secondary playmaker a little bit, sometimes even the main guy, um there’s just a lot more room for him to drive into. And whenever you have the guard, whether it’s Nimhard or Brandon Williams or DLO or whoever bringing the ball up the floor and then you have AD either setting a screen or establishing himself in the mid post, high post, low post, Coop on one wing and Naji on the other. They can both kind of they can just catch the ball and go. And you know that is a Naji like Naji hits the hole like he’s a one cut running back, dude. He’s like Gus Edwards. He just is a battering Ram. I like what you did there. That’s cool. And he just he just goes. Anything about football. He just goes and now he he he drives hard but he finishes uh you know with with the touch with the floater which kind of makes it seem like this sort of like finesse move but he had that one play tonight. I think it was Noah Clowney really early in the game. He just kind of lowered the boom on him and created the separation and then hit him with the floater. Did it a couple times throughout the game. Um, you know, it just reminds you like he’s a really strong and dense dude and he does get really low on his drives as well, which gives him that ability to just ram his head or shoulder into whoever. Uh, sometimes just go right through him and get all the way to the rim and finish. Uh, and he also, much like Coupe, has been really really dynamic in the open floor. Um, you know, and that’s been interesting to see. So this year with Naji and AD on the floor, uh, the Mavs have almost 120 offensive rating. It’s 119.4 like that. It’s really, really good. And that’s with or without other bigs. Um I mean that’s, you know, that’s a really really really good combo. I think is you you don’t need to run plays for Naji for him to do stuff. You know, he’s just able to just do stuff and he did tonight and provided them a lot. Especially what I love about Naji is that he loves he can finish through contact. He can finish in the open floor. Uh he finishes in a variety of ways at the rim. But we know this floater game uh is really really good and once again a big contributor uh for another win for the Mavericks tonight. Let’s take our next break here on the DLS Mavs postgame show. When we come back, welcome in our DLS Mavs beat writer Ron Haraj Jr. live from the American Airlines Center to get his thoughts on tonight’s game and what Jason Kidd and others had to say about the Mavs latest win. All that and more coming up next. So, I got my Gordon Ramsay on last night in the kitchen, Kevin, and I prepared some duck breast. My first ever time cooking duck. I picked it up from Wild Fork Foods Meet and Seafood Market last weekend. We’re actually going to be back tomorrow on Saturday in the Lewisville location near Josie and Windhaven. So, come out and say hi. But this duck breast that I picked up from Wild Fork Foods, I actually saved a bunch of money on it. They were running the special last week. They always run specials. They update their prices every single week. They had three different flavors, two of which they were just giving away for free. You could take free samples. It was unbelievable. So, I went in to buy those. And then lo and behold, I saw they have a third option. And if you get all three, you actually save money. So, this was like the redheaded stepchild flavor, and it was so good. It was so good. I’m so happy that I went in and checked it out. But, uh, come see us at Wild Fork Foods again. Uh, Josie Lane in Lewisville, right in the Louisville, Carolton kind of Plano border. We’ll be there from 12 to 2 on Saturday. Come say hi. Pick up some duck breast, pick up some ribeye, whatever you want. Wagu steak. They got it all at Wild Fork Foods. So, uh, we’ll see you there. Tonight’s episode is brought to you by Prize Pix. Welcome back in to the DLSS Mavs postgame show. Mavericks 119 nets 111. Mavericks get it done at the American Airlines Center which is where we head out to right now to be joined by our DLS mass beat rider. He knows sports. He is on X at Ron Knows Sports. He is Ron Haraj Jr. Ron, what’s going on? Good everybody. My head looks huge in this box, but it is what it is. Uh just like Anthony Davis’s game was huge. Uh and that’s a host everybody. Hey, I’m just saying. Uh Anthony Davis big monster double double in the second half. 20 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks to contribute to his seventh double double uh of the season as the Mavericks get a, as I keep saying, a professional win tonight over Brooklyn. Yeah, definitely. And I think Naji Marshall just had one of the better quotes of the season and has a chance to make Ron’s uh when I do awards my quote of the week. So this is Naji Marshall kind of just on his role on the team and kind of what being undrafted taught him. He said, “I didn’t get drafted, so the focus is not on me. That’s not a bad thing, but I can still help a team. I just figured it out.” A lot of young a lot of young guys get caught up just trying to do one thing, score. They feel like that’s the only way that you can get on the floor, but I have a very unique skill set where I can do multiple things. And I think that’s just described the knife Naji Marshall’s game. Cooper flag and asked by Naji Marshall, he can literally just do anything for this team. they need him to pass the ball. He’ll get over three assists like tonight needing to score. He’ll have over 15 points like tonight needing a rebound. He’ll do that. He’ll guard your best player. Uh while Anthony Davis was the superstar night, Cooper Flag was a superstar tonight. Naji Marshall just continues to be like kind of the glue that just holds all these players together. Yeah. One thing that um you know fans and observers who watch this league and are wanting to get more and more comfortable with watching you know NBA games, one of the things that you’ll learn when you hear players and coaches and personnel talk is that players who are able to last in this league understand a role and can fit a role and be able to build off of that role to be able to fit within a team. Not everyone’s going to be a superstar in this league, but if you are committed to finding what you’re good at and be able to continue to get better at it while adding a couple other parts of your game to make yourself a valuable piece, uh you can last a long time in this league. You can think about a number of veterans who do a lot of different things well, like for example, a Nicholas Batum who has been around for decades at this point, it feels like, but he’s able to do a lot of different things. Um, if you have that kind of mindset, you can you can play for a while uh in this league. And Naji Marsha clearly has figured that out and is understanding what he’s able to do night in and night out for this team. So, it’s a good mindset to have if you want to last in this league for sure. And Jason Kid also just talked about Cooper Flag and kind of his aggressiveness in the first half scoring 18 points. Even though Cooper Flag kind of responded with that and said he actually felt kind of tired kind of just like with with a lot of the games off he said you know the rest was you know needed for a lot of people on the team but you know this is his first time in his NBA career where he actually had multi you know this many days off in a row before another game. So even though he didn’t necessarily look like it everyone out there flagged say he actually was a little bit tired in the first quarter but I think he just started feeling it every time he saw a Noah clown he must have just saw a piece of chicken because it felt like he was hungry getting to the basket. So, it just felt like this was one of the most aggressive games I’ve seen Cooper Flag have. Uh, and especially in the first quarter. Yeah. And then the fourth quarter it was, “All right, where’s Danny Wolf? Who he’s guarding? Where is he? Go find him.” I think they’re friends, too, by the way. I saw Cooper Flag and Danny Wolf like talking on the side. I I don’t know if it’s like a high school connection that I’m missing or something. They must be You know, I don’t think it’s just like, you know, but it must be some type of connection. Maybe they train together. I don’t know what the connection is, but uh I see flag basically every game. Doesn’t just talk one-on-one with every single player. So, it must be something. So, they also had like a thing cuz Danny Wolf was was trying to go at Flag. He was unsuccessful a couple of times, but he did try. And Cooper Flag also was successful at going against Wolf, who and clearly they were trying to get kind of the better of one another in the game. Uh, he went to a high school in Massachusetts. I don’t know. Is Mass Massachusetts is kind of close. Not far from M. Yeah. Not far at all. What else were your takeaways from tonight’s game? Yeah. I mean, again, just kind of just talking about Anthony Davis, but I know you all probably already talked about that. So, we can talk about Ryan Nimhard, who didn’t score today. Uh, it’s I think uh Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News said it very good. Jason Cage, you know, he looked human tonight. Like, this had to happen eventually. everybody. Like I wouldn’t even take too much really away from it. Like literally he’s been shooting out of his mind. But I think the the the best thing and the biggest difference between a Ryan Nhar and a DLO or even a Brandon Williams is any game where the gym shot wasn’t falling everyone. Guess how many shots he took? He only took four. If you don’t have it, pass the rock. Believe it or not, everybody, you can do that. You don’t have to just keep chucking the ball up. And I know that might sound crazy, but there’s a lot of players in the NBA that, you know, there’s a player that used to play the Dallas Maverick, Sam Jr. If he didn’t have it going, the ball was still going hit the side of the rim. It didn’t matter if he didn’t have it going or not. Ronnie Mark can still either pass the ball, try to do other things, try to at least get other players that have it going involved and that helped Cooper Flag get off and Naji Marshall and Max Christie and Klay Thompson who had big games from behind the arc in this game. So, I think that’s a big thing that even in an off game from Ryan Mart, he won’t basically shoot you out of the game. I think that’s probably Jason Kidd’s biggest takeaway. Well, and luckily tonight, you know, earlier in the year I said, I said this many times, but it never felt like this before Nemhard, it never felt like both Brandon Williams and DLO had a good game on the same night. That’s like the glass half empty uh way to view it. The glass half full way to view it is it pretty much seemed like at least one of them always had it going. You know, maybe one of them would stink it up, but then the other one would come in and be fine. And you know, Brandon Williams has had he’s had some big moments. He’s had some big games recently. Um, but he’s also had some misses. Like that game against Houston was unbelievable against Denver and against Miami and OKC. He was kind of a non-factor. But tonight, I thought he was really big, especially in the fourth quarter. So, even though Nimhard wasn’t as good, Brandon Williams stepped up. And that’s the beauty of, you know, uh, of life. That was feel good about that? No, I don’t. There was like that’s the beauty of what? Uh there’s mess up. I was just saying that you know we’ve messed up and now Bobby has joined us. I was saying I’m I’m perfect over here. Messed up tonight there was the beauty of life. That’s right. You can always count on Brandon Williams man. It’s the beauty of life. Yeah. But I mean Jason K did talk about the fourth quarter of Brandon Williams. He said I mean he said he was he was big. He was clutch for this team. By the way, I don’t know if you all have already said the Mavs played their 19th clutch game. It just seems every single game for this team is like close in the last five minutes, which again, I don’t know if that’s like a good thing or not. I haven’t been a I don’t have a take on that yet. Like, is this going to be good for the team? Is this like a bad thing? They aren’t winning. I mean, guess the record is getting better, but like I just don’t know if playing this many close games is good. Like I I don’t have a take on that, but it’s interesting. I guess this is one of those games where shooting variance can come into play because the Brooklyn Nets came into tonight’s game third worst in the NBA in three-point percentage and they were bombing away from the three-point line um tonight in addition to Michael Porter Jr. And that’s that’s what kept them in this game was their three-point shooting, which in a lot of ways was just unbelievable because I I did think that the Mavericks were going to handle up a little bit more. I mean, they wind up covering actually uh they were seven and a half point favorite. They win by eight, so they actually did cover um tonight, but I thought it was going to be a little bit more distance uh between these two, but the shooting of Brooklyn really kept them uh in this game. I don’t expect Brooklyn to shoot, you know, this well from the three that many more times this season because they’re just not a good uh three-point shooting team. I mean, I saw Terrence Mann made I’m not sure how many threes he made, but I know for a fact I at least watched them make two. And when those two threes went in, I said, “Oh, they’re kind of feeling it right now.” Terence man’s like a absolutely horrendous three-point shooter. So, when you have players that you normally don’t, you know, players that some teams leave wide open, like even if he makes threes, he’s getting left wide open. his like gravity is not like essentially non-existent than ever letting him shoot a lot of teams let him shoot and when he makes two threes it’s like oh so I you’re right KG I think the Nets kind of just had it going and again we talked about him pregame Michael Po Jr that all-star push I don’t know if we’re getting there but he just looks like a different player I feel like a lot of people in the league probably laughed and they’re like oh the Nuggets are getting a lot better they got Cam Thomas he’s more of a professional and that might also be true might just fit the Nuggets better specifically But if you’re the Brooklyn Nets, you feel pretty good about your side of the trade. They have shot 40% in four of their last five games counting tonight. And they were 38 in the game before that. So, I mean, they’ve been shooting pretty well. Porter especially. Uh, and at one point they were, I think, 15 of 27 which is five out of nine. That’s 55%. That’s really good. So, getting off to a start like that on a night when the Mavs were never really shooting it that well, like earlier this season, it would have spelled doom. Um, you know, and it did look like the game was kind of hanging in the balance there for a long time, but you know, the Mavs came up with enough stops late. Um, but that really just does go to show kind of like the it’s not make or miss, but it felt like the Mavs were the better team for almost the entire game, if not the entire game, and yet the Nets were ahead for a lot of the game because they were just shooting the crap out of the ball. Yeah. You know, and so if if a team is going to be that hot, sometimes it’s like, man, I don’t know what to say. I guess it’s just not our night. Yeah. Until they start missing, and then all of a sudden it’s your night and it’s right there. If only you can go take it. There have been times this year the Mavs have not been able to take it, but tonight they did. Yeah. And Brooklyn went full Brooklyn in the final three minutes uh of this game. And you credit to the Mavericks defense for a portion of that. I mean, but the Nets scored a grand total of one point in the final 3 minutes and 10 seconds uh of tonight’s game. Uh, and I mean despite that, like you said, Porter went six to 10 uh from downtown as Brooklyn made 17 threes uh on the night. Uh, final thoughts for me before we let you go on this Friday evening. Yeah, I mean, Mavs, what is this? Five of six. They’re starting to heat up everybody. I know that might trigger some Mavericks fans, but this team is starting to heat up. Anthony Davis looks really, really good. Again, he barely scored in the first half. goes I think for 20 in the second half. He looked good defensively. He had three blocks, three like six stops. Come on everybody. Like this is one of the top defenders in the league, especially now. Now he’s putting up kind of the highlight defensive stats too with it. He looks really, really good. The team is heating up and I’m uh enjoying watching Bobby down that Michelobra. Oh, thank you. How are various parts of your body feeling? Oh, wow. Um, you know, I actually feel pretty good everybody. I know the the fans definitely would love to hear about some things in a lot of regions of my body. Yo, the fact that that was clipped. The fact that that was clipped. But yeah, I’m feeling good. Everybody like you didn’t think we would go clip that say something like that. Get away with like what? You didn’t think we go clip that? Come on now. Come on now. And yes, we have a road game on Monday. The Utah Jazz. The Mazz might go six of seven. Oh, dang. All right. All right. Let’s I didn’t realize it. I didn’t realize it. He wasn’t around for the original Utah game. You don’t want You don’t want no part of this. Utah and the Mavericks around here. Nothing is easy. Nothing’s easy when it comes to the Utah game. Well, Utah does like a lot of takers, so I’m not too surprised at that. Hey, well, I mean, look, you talk can score, man. Like, they they don’t play a whole lot of defense, but they can sure play a whole lot of offense. Like, they Yeah, Kante George has been really really good for them. Uh, almost went for 40 tonight in their win against Is George a Dallas native, I think. That’s right. Louisville native. Lewisville. Oh, Baylor. That’s right. Double uh fun for Tanner. Double fun for Tanner. Uh, Ron. Oh, go ahead, Tanner. No, I’m I’m laughing at Bobby seeing him the score. Oh, that’s right. He’s got the Yeah. Um Ron, good to see you. Uh oh, he had Yeah. Ke George at 39 tonight. Good gracious. Oh, wow. Yeah, he was balling. Yeah, they went on the road because Jesus Christ tonight. Yeah. Yeah. Um enjoy the rest of your weekend. Uh enjoy Sunday night when the Mavericks or excuse me, when the uh Cowboys take on the Minnesota Vikings. Hope that’s they get a win. They need a win. Enjoy your weekend. We’ll talk to you. We’ll talk to you Monday. Bye, Ron. I’ll see you all. Bye. Wait, real quick, but I know we’re going to break. Uhhuh. You remember your school song? Like the your high school song? Unfortunately. Well, I wouldn’t say unfortunately. I’m very fortunate to have been in the marching band, but a very unfortunate part of the marching band was we had to sing that song a lot and play that song. You’re playing it. You’re not singing it though. Uh we also had to sing the song on the bus multiple times every football Friday. You did. We didn’t have to, but we pretty much had to. Okay. But even if even Well, like I don’t know any say most of the time I actually did not sing it, but whenever you hear it 10 times every day, you know, for four years and I have a really good memory, unfortunately. Yeah, I remember. I remember a lot of other stuff. Want me to sing you a song during the break? No, I’ll sing the die hard read. This is the I I will not do that. Oh. Oh, we really got to go to break. Yeah. Yeah. So, let’s do that. He’s got Mark Stein in the waiting room being like, “The hell? I’m supposed to be on right now and these guys are just talking nonsense, singing high school songs, talking about the band.” Yeah, Mark Stein, I play trumpet. So, what are you going to do about it, man? Uh, if you want to support what we’re doing and not our singing, you can scan that QR code right there. It’ll take you to a website alldls.com where you can sign up to become a Die Hard. Die Hard is a member of our community here at DLS Sports and all throughout the All City Network. All in together now. We’re all in, man. We’re all in together. We’re all in this. No, you’re singing now. How do you remember that song? Do you watch High School Musical all the time? Is that what it’s from? Yes. Okay. I’ve never seen High School Musical if you can. So, how did you know it was from that? Uh I just guessed honestly cuz it’s from something that’s very popular that I haven’t seen. So, I assume it’s High School. Bobby lives on the internet. That’s unfortunately I do. Wow. Uh but uh we all live together on this beautiful internet as one massive community here. So, if you want to scan the QR code again, become a diehard. You get a bunch of stuff whenever you sign up. Yeah, I know. I’m sad. Um sad. And then uh you also get to read the entire website. All of Ron Har Jr’s coverage, Clarence Hill, Ali Janat on the Cowboys, uh Jeff Wilson on the Rangers. They just made a bunch of moves tonight. So if you want to know who those guys are, Jeff’s got you covered. And then Sam and Sean on the Stars. Uh great team, great coverage, great community, great sports, great life here at DLS. Thank you to each and every one of you for your support. Uh, somebody need to check that for me because I saw in the chat someone said Dano Banton had a 42 point triple double for the Texas Legends tonight. Wow. I was not the drum major. I was just the trump I did not uh try out. I thought about trying out and I thought, you know what, I actually I like playing trumpet quite a bit. So, I just I just I’m not sure that I would have been it anyway. It’s not like I was, you know, uniquely talented or anything. Uh, let’s bring in our national NBA insider, Mark Stein. You go dial up the Stein. Looking good, Stein. Mark, what you what did you play back? What What did you play in high school? Tennis. That’s not an instrument. You didn’t play a musical instrument. I did not. You’ve heard me sing. You think I played a musical instrument? Oh, I don’t know. I was a different I played trombone. I have I have zero less than zero musical ability. less than zero. That’s not what I heard. That’s not what Classic Stain lover says earlier with your singing voice. Should I go ahead and Yeah, go ahead. Throw that out there. Uh Mark, this was a super chat for you that happened during the pregame show. Um where they want you to sing the lyrics, I was wrong and I just can’t live without you. You going to do that for Classic Stain Lover for $1.99? That lyric is very apt. It is from the song that we constantly reference on this show, baby. But But since I didn’t make the trade, I don’t want to recite that line because I would have never traded Luca Donuch. So that’s one line. That’s one line that I don’t sing. But it it it works. It does work. That was a long way to say I’m not singing for $1.99. No, that’s really not it. I feel like I’ve pun I’ve I’ve p our audience has been awesome especially lately and I feel like I’ve punished them enough with my attempts to sing. Even a super paid to hear you say no he a super chatter could not really could not legitimately want me to actually sing. I I I I don’t believe that classy sing literally paid $1.99 to hear you sing that lyric. I don’t believe that. I really don’t. I think they like that. It says it right there. Super chat was super chat was for Mark. Where is he at? Does it say Where does it say I need Stein to sing that? It’s implied. Mark, what do you think of the game? It was It was It was clunky. It was um It’s a good way to describe it. It looked like a team that had I mean do you guys realize this was the longest break the Mavericks have ever had in the regular season un not counting all-star breaks unless we factor in the season after co when they had to put in a long break in like March of that season to make up you know they they baked that in knowing that they might have to you know do makeup games but like in a regular normal 82 game season this was the longest in season break that didn’t have something to do with an All-Star game that the Mavs have ever had. I think it looked like it. I will tell you from my very, you know, I always say how spoiled I am to sit as close to the court as I do. To see a 6’11 Tim Ko lookalike like running the show for the Nets in the fourth quarter. Also very jarring. Still not sure I’m used to it. I What did How did it look on TV? Did it look like it looked like running I mean it it looked like National Tim was playing for the Brooklyn Nets. I’m not It just It just did. It just did. And that was very That was very hard to process. Good old Danny’s about a foot taller than Tim. But he’s 61. He’s 6’11. But still it was like I said jarring. Yeah. Tim makes also some very similar like enterprising kind of drives where shooting isn’t necessarily the ultimate goal. Did it move you guys? Did it move you guys to see Anthony Davis with a 20 and 10 half? Yeah, I mean the fourth quarter he was a he was a pretty big badass out there. Yeah, he was he was a monster out. There have there have only been I I’m I’m reliably told there have only been four 20 and 10 halves this season. AD has one, Giannis has two, and I’m not aware who has the other one. Maybe you guys has two. That’s unreal. Giannis has two. You guys can help. You guys can help me. That’s a year, right? Giannis is unbelievable, man. Oh my god. Coup was Coupe was very good. Coupe was very aggressive. He’s just I mean, he is just attacking the rim with ferocity. I’m sure you guys loved it. I’m sure everyone in chat loved it. I mean, he’s really going to the he’s really going to the bucket. Um, yeah. I mean, again, I’ll say it, you know, and mix and mixing in some righty drives. We know he’s great going to his left, but today there were some, you know, in I think earlier in the season, he was very comfortable pulling up for that midi when he goes right and just shooting over the defender because he’s it’s, you know, he’s so he’s got the length advantage, so he can shoot over just about any defender. But today he was going going right to the cup. Left or right? Yeah. This is a game that you were supposed to win and you handled your business accordingly. Um you covered, you won your game. Uh and you beat a Nets team that’s lost, you know, 17 of their first 23 games of the season. Uh coming in not a very good shooting team. They had a really good night from the three-point line. You were able to withstand that. You put the clamps on them when you needed to down the stretch. Uh AD look like the kind of player that you would want against a Nets front court that isn’t great. Nick Class is a good player, not a great player. Uh and outside of that, they really have no um interior presence at all and AD took advantage of that big time. Um so they did what exactly what they were supposed to do uh to win tonight’s game. They got a lot of contributions from a lot of different guys. Yeah, Brandon Williams was another Brandon Williams was another standout. Obviously, this was the first time that Ryan Nebard didn’t have the impact he’s been having here in the last five or six games. And they went to Bill in the stretch. I mean, what was the reaction? What was the reaction in chat and in the studio when B will mask an offensive rebound? I think it was Coupe with the offensive rebound, finds B will right up with a three and B will knocked it down. I mean, to be quite honest with you, I didn’t think he was going to make it. Yeah, I mean neither. He’s It’s been a It’s been a pretty bad year for him. Been awful from three. Yeah, that was my That was my That was my sneaky way of getting you guys to say to say that that was not a good shot, but it went down. No. Yeah. Well, I mean, no, it was wide open like Well, I would have appreciated a little more discretion there, frankly. But it was an open shot. Was it Coop on the Was it Coop on the offensive rebound? I’m I’m now I’m doubting my memory. I believe so. I believe so. And that I mean that was kind of the play of the game. That was that, you know, it was the go ahead bucket. They didn’t look bad. Yeah. finally got finally got some separate. I mean, the Nets hung in all night. It was just it look it the Mavs looked rusty. I know that, you know, look, they practiced uh they practiced Monday, Tuesday, took off Wednesday, practiced yesterday, they’re going to practice again tomorrow before going to Utah. Uh but I think something you also saw here, Jason Kidd really was not trying to call timeouts. He wanted these guys to kind of play through the fatigue to kind of help them get back in flow because again they’ve been, you know, a fiveday break during the regular season is just uncommon without the All-Star break being part of it. So yeah, there was a at one point it was either late in the third or early in the fourth, I don’t remember. Uh Jordi Fernandez called a timeout and at that juncture the Nets had two timeouts left. The Mavs had six timeouts left. That’s right. Yeah, that was not accidental. That was that was literally that was intentional. Jason Kid did that on purpose. He wanted the he wanted these guys to use it as he wanted to try to force them back into game. I mean, even Coupe talked about how he felt some he felt some uh he he felt some fatigue, which always it always surprises me to hear that because he’s still I mean he’s still not 19. He’s like, what is it? Nine days away from being 19. That’s right. Yeah. Back when I was 18, almost about to be 19, I was staying up till like 4:00 a.m. on the weekends and even sometimes on the weekdays. Where is National Tim, by the way? 14 in me. I wasn’t stopping. Yeah. You weren’t keeping me out of pain either. I thought for sure I was going to see National Tim interviewing Danny Wolf postgame. I don’t If that happened, I missed it. We got to get That’s not even possible. You got to go get a pick of them, man. What are you doing? Like, how could Tim interview Danny? Like, they’re the same selfie. Oh, good point. Good point, Stealthy. Um, what else stood out to you from tonight’s game? I mean, I think we got to it all. What stands out in chat? What does chat want to know? What does chat want to talk about? Yeah, we got some supers. We do have some super chats. Um, is this uh Toji 9169 with the $5 super chat? Uh, if we trade Anthony Davis in the off season, do you think we can trade into the lottery if it’s a three-team trade since we’re not tanking? It seems, look, it’s premature to say say that they’re not going to end up in the lottery on their own valition. Now, I grant you they definitely they look too good for their own good right now. And again, Kyrie Irving was on the bench tonight. We still have no idea when we’re going to see Kyrie Irving. It’s going to be at some point presumably in 2026. But yeah, I mean, the way they’ve been playing, winning five out of six. And to think that Kyrie Irving is going to be joining these guys at some point in the second half. It is hard to see the Mavs ending up in the lottery on their own on their o on the strength of their own record. It’s a good it it’s a great question and I understand why it’s being posed and I keep kind of saying that I don’t know that they know yet as a team. I mean, it’s not Look, I think deep down they would rather be in the lottery than be in the 7 8 9 10 range if if they, you know, they’re never going to admit that publicly. But the problem is it’s just the bottom of the West is so unexpectedly weak. Yes. That I don’t I don’t know that they can control. I mean, Memphis had Memphis was on a seven-2 stretch and now Zack Edi goes down and Zack Ed has been their best player with John Moran out. John Mor came back tonight. I didn’t even see how that ended up. You did Utah win that game? They did. Yeah. George at 39 tonight. Yeah. So, like the bottom of the West is just such a weird jumble. Like I said, I understand the question. I just don’t know that I have a great answer for it. Yeah, I think I’ve said this before, but I mean I think it rings true. Um, you know, organizations tank, players don’t. If the Mavericks decide and that and look today, I mean, you could you could So, again, I’m admitting how spoiled I am to sit as close to the court when the game’s going on. They were when they finally got some separation in the fourth quarter. The way they were arguing foul calls against, you know, calls against the Mavs and the whole bench is up in arms. They were trying mistra by Danny Wolf, by the way. Took about 26 steps. They were trying like hell to win this game. They’re during the game. During the game, nobody’s thinking about lottery position. But yeah, it’s it’s going to be tricky, man. I mean, players for sure. I mean, players don’t necessarily want to do that. I mean, they’re if they’re thinking, why would I want to seed my job to someone else who may come in here and potentially take my spot on a team? Like, players want to win. They want to put out good tape and they want to try their best they can to win these games. Uh, organizations decide to tank and if the Mavericks decide at some point that it’s just not worth, you know, playing to get their ass whooped out of, you know, the Thunder in the first round, um, then they may go in a different direction. It’s like they need that first round pick so much, but like it it is going to be absolute twisting themselves into a pretzel to get in the lottery the way things look right now. And if it’s going to take that much effort to, you know, do that, then just just play. Just play and see what No, you you say that now, but in April, you’re not going to be saying that. Well, in April, in April, we’re going to be sitting in there, the four of us together, and if they’re not in the lottery, people are going to be throwing things. Well, I mean, it’s not my money to spend. It’s not my pick to make. That’s the decision that they’re going to have to make because, yeah, I think we all agree that the best thing for them to do is probably to get themselves in the lottery, to get themselves a nice talented player, you know, on a cheap contract. Um, but that’s not what, you know, these players, they’re going to try to win these games, and that’s what they get paid to do is win games. So, um, it is interesting. Um, as we continue with a couple more super chats here before we, uh, get out of here. Um, let’s go ahead read that one for you, Bob. You can go and read that one. Ant-Man 34 with the best super chat we’ve ever received on this channel, in my humble, unbiased opinion. 499 super. Don’t let them bully you, Bobby. I graduated in 13 and I still remember the Lewisville song, too. That’s because Oh, wow. He’s about to sing it. Here we go. That’s because our school stands above all others. Oh, wow. Okay. All right. And to thee, the we shall be ever loyal and true. Not just partly loyal and true or temporarily or seasonally loyal and true. Ah, let him cook for four years loyal and true. Forever loyal and true. This is not a Lewisville farmer for uh for sometimes situation. This is an LFL situation for life forever. Ant-Man respect. You went to Lewisville High. I did. And we’re going to Lewisville tomorrow. We are my old stomping grounds. Wow. I can take you to all my childhood main spots where I played my first basketball, outdoor basketball with uh with my friends in the park. Uh I can take you to the first place I ever drove my car to. I can take you to my first job. Uh I can show you where I had my first kiss. I was really nervous. No, we don’t need to go to that place. Okay, we’re good there. How about we just focus on Wild Fork? We can do that, too. Or 12 to two. That’s all right. Hey Mark, do you know any of the words from your high school school song? Do you remember any of them? I do not. I do not remember any of the words. I remember any of I do not remember any of the words for my high school song. The melody of my college fight song. I don’t remember all the words, but the melody uh the melody does still move me to tears. I must Now ask him if he knows every single word of Man City’s fight song. Let’s see what his answer is. Oh, I’m sure he does. Well, there’s there’s many. There’s 50 city songs I could those I actually might sing someday. I I know neither the melody nor the words to the UT Dallas school song or the I don’t even know if we have a fight song, but um yeah, I know the Louiswisville alma mater for sure. Lanessa with the $2 super chat. Cooper makes me feel like getting my die hard car. Yes. What you waiting for? No, no. Less already has one. Oh, okay. You’re saying like that’s the Ah. Ah, got it. Okay, that’s how awesome Cooper is. Got it. Got it. That’s a great super. Now, the follow-up super sucks. Uh, the $2 one. Uh, Bobby, I’m sorry you were shoved into lockers. I was Let me Let me just get this out. I want to get a hard side. I want to put these rumors to rest. I was never bullied in high school. That’s specifically in high school. I was never bullied. All right. Anything before that, I don’t remember. Is that almost 400 people watching live? Is that right? Of course. Like, stop acting so surprised. Like, what? What you probably gone down since it I’m surprised because I can’t read my phone from here. That’s what I can’t That’s why I’m surprised. Oh, I know what I’m getting for. Can get you some uh bif focals or something. I try I try I try readers and they just No, it’s I don’t I I’d rather just let my vision decline. I I did not like it. Okay. I did not like it. Um, Mavericks will get back on the floor on Monday. Shout outs to 8:30 start time Bobby Carella. Uh, when they take on a Is that really Utah game? Yeah. 8:30. Utah earlier. I told you this earlier. 8:30 start time. We don’t bell Utah game. We don’t do that anymore. Um, it’s healthy. Okay. Now you’re just forcing it. It was forest. Exactly. That glass half full. No tankathon spend a night. That’s for sure. No. Glass half full. Uh the Jazz did win tonight. They’re nine and 15. Um they are in a virtual tie was a Maver uh they’re 9 and 15. Ms are 10 and 16. And that’s important to note. We’ll talk about that more on Monday night, but Utah is is one of the few teams down there that I think wants to win. The Jazz are sick of losing. So, I think the Jazz would love to be 10th or ninth or even, you know, if you know what, I’m not gonna lie, that statement just that just statement just pissed me off. Like, in the one year where they could go get a dude from Utah, now they want to win games when they could go tank AJ Deans. Now they Now they want to win games. Maybe they’ve been given. No, you’re right. You’re You’re right. I’m wrong. I’m wrong. They want to win. They do want to win. They are sick of losing, but they do want Debansza very very badly. And I’m completely wrong. Scratch everything I said there. Their pick is only their pick is only top one day protected, I believe. Yes, it’s top what protected one to eight. One to eight. One to eight or else who gets it. So, so what I of course So, forget everything I said. They are in just as big of a twisted pretzel mess as the Mavericks of Dallas. That’s why we need you to own that pick, too. They have to Philadelphia on Monday and the Clippers. The Mavs need to win on Monday. The Thunder the Thunder, man. The We’ll deal We’ll We’ll talk about that one. We’ll talk about that Monday. Pending results of the NBA. We should We should hang it up. We’ve been going for 69 minutes tonight. We got a long night on Monday, too. And Wild Fork tomorrow. Wild Fork tomorrow. Cooper Flagg had a huge first half, and Anthony Davis came alive in the second half, as the Dallas Mavericks won another clutch game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. Davis dominated in the second half after being double-teamed throughout most of the first half, and Flagg got off to a fast start himself and finished with 22 points, 8 assists, and zero turnovers. The DLLS Mavs crew breaks down the win.

  1. U need to stop these are Nico’s player chosen by him….U can’t even make up shit when asked why Fire Nico and still keep his players🤣🤣🤣. Just admit you don’t damn know – Nico put together a Hell of a Team and I am still Not Accepting U All on this Winning Run Dallas is Making period. I will say this AGAIN IF Kidd DA had NOT started the season with CF as the PG Dallas Record would definitely look BETTER period. Do WHATEVER reason U guys are still GIVING Jason Kidd a Pass…. I know the politics….just keep it simple….Dallas are Walking Teams DOWN….OMG when Kai comes back the Mavs will Not have any Brakes ON even when it comes to OKC….mark my word.

  2. AD just isn't as flashy as Luka. And lets be honest, a lot of it is theatrics from Luka (I still love him tho). But when you look at AD's line after a game, you're usually like 'damn I didn't know he did that much'.

    Last night is a perfect example. 24 pts, 14 boards, 3 dimes, 3 blocks, 2 steals… 👀
