What are you guys' thoughts on this? Personally I see him getting blown up by the Seahawks d line having a mediocre game with like 200 yards and 1-2 tds maybe a pick. I also see him giving up 5 sacks.

  1. I pray for the man. Has a bunch of kids. Positive is he gets to push his health insurance out 5 extra years. Hopefully he stays healthy enough and gets enough rust to make the Jags game competitive.

  2. Bro is going to get hurt 100%. I applaud his effort, but throwing him in there against the Seahawks is borderline malpractice.

  3. I think he’ll play a strategic and careful game but will surprise a lot by playing perfectly adequately. Not sure on the win, but I’ll cheer for him to impress his grandkids.

  4. I dont understand why they are doing this? Throw in someone younger, give Rivers another week to prep and then throw him into a more winnable game where he might not die.

  5. I know Catholics aren’t big on protection but his wife should really consider life insurance.

  6. Most people questioned them when they chose Daniel Jones as the starter. They clearly see something here. I don’t think he’s gonna be nearly as good for them as Jones was, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if he has a perfectly decent game (as decent as a 44 year old going against the Seattle defense can have, at least).

FTC but I hope he’s able to impress his family (especially if he then impresses his family further while embarrassing the Jags next week).

  7. I expect him to pass for 37 yards on 2/9 passing before he gets injured.

I’ll watch out of morbid curiosity.

  8. I think its a mistake but must watch TV. Will he be a bust or pull a Flacco and throw for 350.

  9. It’s like we all forgot that the Colts are the joke of the AFC. This is either going to be entertaining or a disaster or both. Because the Colts will never stop Colting.

    The Irsey genetics continue on.

  10. I hope he makes a competitive game of it, but its more likely that this is the GM equivalent of that infamous “fake punt” play of theirs in 2015.

  11. Should be interesting. I could see him being an OK game manager, but he hasn’t played a game in five years and hasn’t been around long enough to really build any kind of chemistry with these players.

  12. I’m here for the after party when he doesn’t do horribly badly and Daniel Jones futures totally crumble.

  13. I honestly don’t wish ill on anyone but against the Seahawks if he survives and then us!?!? WTF are they thinking.
