John Harbaugh’s Locker Room Speech After Shutout Win vs. Bengals | Baltimore Ravens

Man, everybody here. We got everybody. Defense, you guys all here? Come on, defense. Come on around. Let the defense get in here. Get in here and join us, Steve. We got all that space back there. Yeah. Come on. Come on, D. Come on, D. You kidding me? Man, my dad’s going to say, uh, my dad’s going to text me. I just tell my dad’s going to text me at night and he’s going to say, you know what he’s going to say? He’s going to say he’s going to say he’s going to say, “Who’s got it better than us?” Yeah. I’m saving who’s got it better than us. I’m telling you right now, we’re saving because that when that day comes, it’s going to be true, right? But um he’s gonna say you never had a better win. Your team never had a better win than this win right here, man. I don’t think we ever have. I’m so proud of you guys, man. I’m so proud of you guys to do what you did to never blink, never bat an eye, never point a finger. Stick together. Stick together. Stick together every day. I heard something today. Johnny said it. He said it today was so good. I I’ll never forget. He said, he said, “It’s okay. It’s good to have your back against the wall.” He said, “You want to have your back against the wall when your wall is God.” All right. All right. Your wall, your wall, your wall is your is is is your faith, your belief, your trust, and your wall is one another, man. And you you make a wall. A bunch of a bunch of bricks fighting like that to show up the way you did, man. I’m just telling you what, I’m so proud of you guys. All right. I’m starting I’m starting with the offense. Start from the beginning. Backs against the wall. We got to have a play. DeAndre Hopkins comes up with a 32 yd. You got anything happen? I can see a lot. Let’s turn the page, man. This behind us. Let’s go out and keep playing ball, man. Good ball like we did today. So, you guys on offense know what Monk said? Monk. Monk, we love you, Monk. All right. Monk said, “We’re going to save that sneaky for the second half. You know, we’ll save it for the second half.” And I was sitting in the back and I saw Lamar, you know, and he didn’t even I knew what he was thinking. He said, “I’m running that sneaky when I’m running that sneaky. You can trust him.” And they come out there first first quarter, second quarter, I don’t know what it was. Lamar comes up there, makes that checks and gets us into that play. And Rashene Ali has his first touchdown. Um, too many memories. Let’s just keep going. Keep going. Well said. How about How about How about Charlie Kolar? How about trampling people? Trampling people on kickoff coverage. Three tackles. Charlie. All right. All right. Two game balls. Two game balls. First of all, 100 yard run game. Who’s run the ball? Derek Henry. 100 yards. Man, let’s just keep stacking, man. One week at a time. I think we all felt it during the week during practice and we going to come out and play the way we played and we just got to keep building off that. Love you, boys. That was our best practice week of the year, man. We played our best game of the year. Best game of the year. How about the offensive line? The offensive line. Shout out to the boys. Shout out to the O line down. Love y’all. Okay, cool. That’s it right there. Marlin Humphrey, fourth most interceptions in team history. One minute, bro. Keep fighting. That’s what it’s going to take. Let’s keep doing it. Travis Jones, careerhigh. Get a big contract. Get a bunch of sacks. Travis Jones sack of the door. Hey, uh, God is good. Let’s keep winning. Joe Burrow, I know we respect him, but we got him. 10 times he was hit. 10 times he was hit. Draymond Jones had five of them. Congrats. What do you got? Just keep stacking them one way at a time. One game at a time. So that’s it. Back in the day when you had every day, you used to have a list. And if you were on the list and you got an interception, then you you could do something with the ball. If you weren’t on the list, Zack, Zack, did you ever make the list? No. Never got on the list. You know who’s on the list now? Kyle Vanoi is on the list. Kyle Vanoi, where you at, kid? interception head and he pitched it to Lohei Gilman for his first career touchdown. Shout out to KV for being old as hell. Keep stacking. Stay together. Three out of 15 on third down. Z Flowers, three catches, 68 yards. And I know he’s mad about the first one, too. game. Make three big plays. Here we go. Y’all boy, I keep winning, man. All right, last and certainly not least, because this is amazing. Okay, there’s been like six or seven six or seven shutter shields in the history of of Ravens defense. Okay. And and the defense got that. They got a shut out shield. I’ve never I don’t know if there’s ever been a two shield game. I don’t know. We’re have to look it up. We got a shutout shield and a shutter shield. And the shutter shield is what, Zack? When you when the defense outscores the opposing offense shut out and we outscored the opposing offense. All right. That defense, that was a dominant performance right there. Come on. I’m accepting this on on behalf of the of the players, man. y’all y’all did y’all thing and the coaches, but I just just thank God, man, because what you guys what everybody in this room’s been through from a a football standpoint this year has been tough. And it’s not easy for everybody to stay together and keep fighting and keep going. And that’s what that’s what gives us hope and and pride every day cuz everybody’s coming in trying to get better and we know what we got in front of us, man. So, hats off to everybody in this room staying together, not pointing fingers. We just trying to get stuff right and we got to keep it going, man. Uh coming back home Sunday night in our house, man. and they put us on Sunday Night Football. I don’t think they put us on Sunday Night Football to watch us. All right, but we got opportunity to show who we are and how we can continue to stack and build. So, let’s enjoy this on the plane ride home and then next week you know it’s on, baby. All right, give it up. Get a hand everybody. Touch everybody, okay? Cuz this is the main word and Zach just said it. Together on three. One, two, three. Together.

  1. I swear every ten or so years we get going and take it all the way. Maybe this is the year? It’s not pretty but damn we were so close last year. Why not this year? Idk very hopeful but ya never know.

  2. Great game Go Ravens! Lets keep it going! There was an interception by the Ravens I believe in the 2nd quarter. The next play I believe the Bengles came right back with an interception however, there was a still picture posted immediately on the screen and it was clear that the Bengles player did Not have control of the ball and it shows that ball hitting the ground and he falls on it. I was hoping Harbaugh would have thrown the red flag and had it reviewed.

  3. Great win now hopefully unless we make it to the Super Bowl which we won’t, fire harbaugh, EDC , 77 and we can go again next season
