This Texans Win Is MASSIVE After The Results In NFL Week 15

[Music] Welcome into Texans Today everybody. I’m your host Jeremy Chugs and coming up on today’s show, why the Texans win in week 15 is even more sweet and important after the 3:00 games. I was live earlier for Texans Cardinals and I told y’all, you know, obviously tonight’s the first night of Hanukkah. So, happy Hanukkah to everybody out there that celebrates that. I would give y’all a video after the Colts and Seahawks game ended and it just ended. So, we’ll get to that later on in the show because a nailbiter in Seattle. But first, let’s talk about this Texans game. Obviously, if you followed anything that happened today on my channel, you know the Texans trounced the Cardinals 40 to 20, a 40 burger, and it felt so good seeing this offense get after it. CJ Strad, three touchdowns in the air, 22 of 29 was electric. Jawar Jordan 15 carries, 101 yards. Woody Marks got a rushing touchdown as well. This offense was moving. Nico Collins, three receptions, 85 yards, two touchdowns on the day. He was incredible. And I just got to say, doesn’t it feel good? I I know it’s been awesome with the defense this entire year, but doesn’t it feel freaking awesome to see this offense score some touchdowns? It’s I mean, the defense has been incredible. They’ve been awesome this year, and they deserve all the credit credit in the world. But finally, finally to see this offense get some points on the board. Loved it. absolutely loved it and uh as I said it felt really good. Let’s go into some other games and why this game was very important for your Houston Texans. First off, the Jags, they absolutely were all over the New York Jets today. 48-20. I mean, very similar to this Texans game up against the Cardinals. And when you look at it, obviously Trevor Lawrence had himself a day, six total touchdowns through the ground and on the a uh in the air. Travis ETN had three touchdowns as well. Jacobe Myers, five receptions, 71 yards. And you know, the Texans win today is even more sweet because of this because you needed to keep pace with the with the Jags if you want to win the division. And I told y’all earlier this week, the Jets did not have a chance to beat the Jags. They were not going to beat the Jags. It all comes down to this game right here, week 16, whenever the Jags take on the Broncos at Mile High. They are currently beating the Green Bay Packers. I believe they’re set to beat the Green Bay Packers. Michael Parson uh Parsons got injured in that game, but if the Texans want to win the division, it comes down to this game right here. Week 16, we all are rooting for the Denver Broncos to beat the Jacksonville Jags. But it was huge for the Texans to get going to win today cuz it keeps their AFC South division hopes alive if they want to win this division and get a top four seed in this AFC playoff race. Let’s go to another game that happened. It was happening at the same time as this Texans game. The Bills come back and beat the New England Patriots. Drake May, not my MVP. Not my MVP. I’ll say that. 14 for 23, 155 yards, one interception. All the people telling me Drake May’s the MVP this year, shut up. Shut your mouth. You you you shut your mouth because Drake May is not the MVP this year. This same Bills defense that Davis Mills was slinging the ball around on 14 to 23, 155, and one interception. Josh Allen on the other hand, 19 of 28, 193 yards, three touchdowns on the day, and James Cook absolutely shredded that Patriots defense. I told y’all I’d be more worried playing the Broncos than the Patriots. And this is why. And when you look at the Patriots last three games, they essentially have to lose two of these games still if the Bills want to win the division. The Bills have to win out. And the Patriots need to lose two of these games. They’re not beating the Jets. So, it really comes down to can the Ravens and the Dolphins beat the New England Patriots. So, I’m going to ask you this question. Who do you think is more likely to come back and win their division? If you think it’s our Houston Texans, type those H’s. If you think it’s the Buffalo Bills, type those B’s. I think it’s the Texans, right? I mean, the Broncos, I think they have a good chance of beating the Jags. If the Texans can win out, I think they have a good I mean, I know they have a good chance to win this division. So, I’m typing my H’s. I’m interested to see what y’all have to say, though, after this week. Let’s go to another game. And I’m not going to say this is part of the good, you know, the good news. Chiefs are out of the playoffs. That is good news. But the bad news came in this one late as Patrick Mahomes sustained a knee injury and it was confirmed to be a torn ACL. He exited the game in the last two minutes of the fourth quarter. Insert Gardner Mchu. He throws the game losing interception for the Chiefs. Basically ending their season for Kansas City. The Chargers, they take another step into into getting a wild card spot. And the Texans, they play the Chargers in a couple weeks. So, we can jump them in terms of our wild card standing and where we go with a win in week 17 over LA. But as I mentioned, the big news coming out of this one, Patrick Mahomes confirmed torn ACL. And it’s tough because I mean Texans fans, we all remember basically around this same time last year, Tankdale suffered a catastrophic knee injury up against Kansas City and he’s still not back. So the big news in this one is Patrick Mahomes. Will he be ready to start the 2026 NFL season or will the Chiefs have to look somewhere else? And what are they going to do? Is Travis Kelce coming back next year? What where do the Chiefs go from here? Their dynasty, their team is in flux moving forward. Andy Reid’s getting older. Have we seen the last of what we know as the Kansas City Chiefs? Big question and I don’t know if we’ll get an answer anytime soon to, you know, never root for injury. Hopefully Mahomes can get right. Hopefully he can get the surgery he needs and get back out there on the field. Um, but a devastating loss for Chiefs fans and Chiefs kingdom. It’s good to be right. Let’s look at some more games around the NFL. Ravens all over the Bengals. And you know, the Ravens are still fighting for a spot in this playoffs. And at this point in time, it looks like the only way they’re going to get in is winning their division. and they still play the Steelers again. But I mean going from last week with the Bengals to this week 24 to0 I mean 24 to zero like I don’t I have no idea what Joe Burrow and the Bengals were doing anymore. Burrow made some weird comments this week about not having fun in Cincinnati and you know like what’s the point of it if you’re not having fun. Um you know the trade rumors are going to start flying. the speculation is going to go through the roof with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. Um that that’s another huge question mark with another top quarterback with a team that has made the Super Bowl in the past six seasons with Cincinnati. The Ravens keep their playoff hopes alive and get one step closer to maybe winning the AFC North. And this is the game we all wanted to look out for. Colts up against the Seahawks. The Seahawks win in dramatic fashion. And Philip Rivers throws an interception at the end of the game. They originally had, you know, driven the ball down the field. Blake Groupy, their kicker, made a 60-yard field goal with about 45 seconds left. The Seahawks were able to drive down, kick a field goal with about 10 seconds left. I think it was a 56-y. And uh, you know, I was I was on pins and needles watching this game. I was so excited that the Seahawks were able to pull this win out. And you know, I will say this, for all the jokes and everything that I’ve said about Philip Rivers over the past week, I think he played darn good. And uh for all things considered, a 44 year old quarterback to go out there 18 to 27, 120 yards, one touchdown, one interception. He had a clutch clutch throw on their final drive. Not the final drive, but the second to last drive where they did kick that go-ahad field goal with under two minutes. He had an amazing back shoulder throw to Alec Pierce. Um, all I have to say is I am so glad the Seahawks won. And it’s not going to actually come down to a week 18 game or at least I hope it doesn’t come down to a week 18 game with the Texans and the Colts cuz this Colts team is still playing really tough. They’re playing some inspired football and barely lost to a really good Seattle Seahawks team. If you watch that game though, let me know. How do you think Philip Rivers played against Seattle? Be honest. I thought it wasn’t half bad. He was not the worst quarterback that we saw play in the NFL today. And that’s saying something since he hasn’t played in five years. Now, before I let you go, let’s take a look at the AFC playoff picture as it stands right now. Um, the only thing that needs to be changed on here is the Colts are now 8 and6. But overall, Texans sitting pretty. They look really good where they’re at right now. And going into their final three games, this is huge. They play the Raiders in week 16. I talked about it in my postgame show. Do the Texans maybe sit some of those starters in week 16 up against Las Vegas? They lost 31 to zero to the Philadelphia Eagles in week 15. Then this game right here is mega important for Texans fans. Week 17 at the Chargers. They flex that. It’s going to be the Saturday day game. So very important there in week 17. And then week 18 up against the Colts. Texans, they control their own destiny. And who would have thought after starting 0 and3 that the Texans, I would say, control their own destiny going in to week 16. That’s all I have for you on today’s show, folks.
