Darryl Sutter knew how to coach
He would have those meetings. We we had one time in Edmonton and he would go around. We We didn’t have a pregame skate. We’re in a little bit of a rut. He said, “We’re going to watch the first period of our last game together instead.” So, our whole team gets around. We get the TV out. We know it’s going to be, “Uh-oh, here we go.” He would throw those like he would say, “Uhoh, watch this. Rewind. Rewind.” I won’t say who it would be. Go, watch this. The warrior that you are. Play it back one more time. One more time. what you know is there eggshells under there you know eggs you know that he would be like uh I I couldn’t even tell you some of them are obviously Rrated he’d be like what and he was so quickwitted and you were done you were done there was something he could find in your game rip you apart but that game as soon as the puck dropped that night in Edmonton fights everywhere I’m I’m almost 100% we won that game

Darryl is one of the best ever.
I ❤️coach Sutter. He was the guy who coached the local hockey team after feeding the cows on his farm and all he expected was everybody to play hard and give a crap.
How old is this interview?
Coach Sutter is/was an Odd Bird but the end-result 🔥🐲🐴🔥
