Connor Bedard out until at last New Years

  1. That shoulder popped before Schenn made contact with his (opposite) shoulder on a normal hockey play.

  2. Shoulder related injuries are such a spectrum, but also noting to fuck with.

I had a minor SLAP tear to my right shoulder that took me out a month (tripped on a breakaway but played through the game and only really felt it the next day), I just rested and had some injections. Years later and I will probably need surgery before I’m 50.

I also had two dislocations on the left (snowboarding then a simple scrum and landed weird). 6 pins later, I was out for 4 months based on doctor’s orders and didn’t feel truly stable with my top hand or lifting heavy until like 8 months later. Surgery was absolute the moment I got imaging, no “waiting to see.”

If he’s not already scheduled for a surgery, that’s a good sign. The way he held it though, I can’t imagine playing within 30 or even 60 days.

  3. Well this throws a wrinkle in his push for the Olympics.

Watch him come back in January even more pissed off
