“It’s a fascinating deal on a lot of levels.” #CJShow #wild #canucks #nhl
Quinn Hughes going to Minnesota in exchange for Marco Rossi, Liam Ogran, Zeve Buouham, and a 2026 first round draft pick. Well, it’s a fascinating deal on a lot of levels. The coolest thing to me is that that was the first and only offer from the Wild. I mean, it tells you that they understood the assignment. They understood what it could mean to go out and get Quinn Hughes and how much you had to give up. In their case, that’s three recent first round picks, all under the age of 25 currently. That’s a lot to give up. I’m not playing winners and losers here. I’m just saying on the on the surface that’s your first offer. You’re showing you’re very serious. I actually give the Canucks credit for taking that offer. You’ve ever negotiated anything, whether it’s fantasy football trades or whatever. When you basically have the deal, sometimes the nibbling part gets annoying. I think there’s every reason to believe that Ze Buham will be like a great player in Vancouver for a long time. What a trade. I I think it’s it’s one of these ones I can see it from both ends. I I I think both teams did well given the constraints and there’s a lot of constraints here. You know, Quinn Hughes is not just a Norris Trophy winner. He’s 26.
