Are the Chicago Bears Actually Going to Win the NFC North??? | The Rich Eisen Show
Caleb and the Bears just absolutely spanked the Browns, you know, absolutely took them over. And again, I don’t want to hear, “Oh, it’s the Browns. I don’t want to hear it. NFL team, but it’s the NFL team. You think Shadore is not trying to show up and show out against Caleb in Chicago in this defense? Give him the right play sheet, though. That’s You don’t think Miles Garrett?” Wow. Oh, boy. I mean, you don’t think Miles Garrett wanted to set the sack record against Caleb Williams in Chicago? He’s counting those game checks, dude. Pay that man. Seriously, I don’t want to hear it. The Bears may just turn out to be who we think they are. I was just going to say who they are. And they did not let the Browns off the hook. They did what they were supposed to do, which is beat them up. Yeah, beat them up. They stomped Right. Get right. Oh, we lost to Green Bay. Guess what? We’re going to get right. We’re going to get back in first place and then we’re going to welcome the Packers into our house. That’s what we’re going to do. And we’re going to beat the Browns 31-3. That’s what we’re going to do. I don’t want to hear it. In this day and age where anything can happen, when 44 year olds can come off the couch and almost win in Seattle, anything can happen in this league right now. Anything can happen. So, you need to go take care of business and win by 28 points. Your largest margin of victory in five years. And Ben Johnson now just came up with a 10- win season. The last time that happened was when another firsttime head coach did it with Matt Naggie. The only other team to win 10 or more games in his first season with the Bears is named George House. How about that as a listic? George Halis, Matt Ngi, and Ben Johnson. Go figure. But this was Caleb after the game about making a playoff push for the Bears. Yeah, I think we’re ready. I think we’ve we’ve played teams that have a bunch of wins. We play teams that don’t. We’ve played close games. We’ve played games where we’ve beaten teams by a lot. We’ve played, you know, teams uh teams where we had to win with special teams, offense, defense, whatever, running ball, whatever the case. Um and so I feel that we’re, you know, we’re ready for just about anything. hot weather, cold weather, whatever the case may be. Um, we’re going to go out there and and and go out there and fight. Um, I do know that. Um, and I and I like our chances. Us versus anybody. Well, the antibbodyers, all three of them are currently in the top eight of the NFC rankings. All three of them. So, they’re going to earn it. They’re going to earn it. And what they did was they did go out in in a game where it was, man, when they was playing in that cold, they they was cold. They they that’s one of the coldest games on record in Chicago, which is saying a lot. Again, I once upon a time I lived in Chicago my my year I was at Northwestern. Um I there was in my old car um I deactivated the alarm, which was like a the old punch pad. I had an alarm punch pad. You remember that? It would be this wired to like the motor and you’d have to punch the pad that would then allow you to turn the motor on. I would I cut the wires on that thing and I will never forget watching my car towed down the street in a snowstorm in Chicago with that alarm going off because somehow someway the cold weather had fused the wires back together. So when you’re saying this was as cold as it gets in Chicago for a Bears game, it’s cold and the Bears won that and they won it by 28. We have been in the same way that Shawn Peyton is like, “Hey man, we’ve been in these slugfests.” So, we’re comfortable. Bears are feeling comfortable. And I know Chris, prior to the season, prior to the season, one of your overreaction Monday subject matters was Caleb Williams throwing for 4,000 yards, right? First Bears quarterback to ever throw for 4,000 yards. That was, I think, one of the one of the early ones, pre-season ones, I think you this was in the summer. You popped that one up there. Um, he needs to average, how close are we? 283.3 passing yards per game in the final three to get to 4,000 yards. All right. A little high register, but we can get there. So, got a shot. Bears are in the mix. They’re in first going into the final three games of the year. Bears Packers can flip the script or give the Bears some cushion going into San Francisco or the Bears lose it. They’re in second place and potentially just a game in front of the Lions, which they don’t want to be because the Lions can just beat him in the final week of the season and leapfrog him wherever that may be, a top the standings or heaven forbid for the Bears as the seven seed. So, the Bears can with three weeks to go have got the fan base rightfully so pumped up. Okay. Yeah. Adam didn’t have any complaints this morning. on Instagram, which is wild. We all know that. Yeah, Caleb’s already equipped last year’s touchdown mark. He’s going to beat his passing yards again. I wish he could complete a little few more passes. Well, all he’s got to do that in the mid60s. He better keep winning because right now the Bears can finish as the one seed. They could finish as the two seed in winning the division. They can finish as a seven seed in the wild card. Or they could just be out of it. And you could make the case that in the NFC they have the toughest remaining schedule. Packers at home, Niners on the road, Lions at home with the Lions potentially needing it to make the playoffs. Oh man. Hey, you made it all the way to the end. Thanks for that. Have the feeling you may have cut your ignition wires rather than your alarm. Probably why your car had to be towed with a functional alarm
I can't wait for that NFL prediction video later this week where every time the Bears win a game their chances of making the playoffs goes down, somehow. She'll probably still pick the Lions to win the North.
SUPERBOWL!! BEAR DOWN
Shad-oops threw another int this morning
Nah bro, the only thing we don't want to hear is you MAKING EXCUSES for that chump Shedur Sanders 😂😂😂😂
Anyone see the meme of the Bears fan at the Browns game who was pouring soda that froze? Yeah, we won 31-3 in THAT.
Let’s go Bears!
Depends on Saturday.
It might be the Browns, but the Bears gave the Browns their worst lost this season by 28 points.
Sanders just had his welcome to the NFL game against, Daaaaa Bears. Hey Caleb's completions maybe a little lower but he hasn't been turning it over. Those usually go together.
Glad the stupid Paypal commercial has been replaced by the even more absurd and annoying Ozempic commercial 🙄
Browns beat the packers as well… and Bears are gonna get their revenge this Saturday night!!!! BEAR DOWN
I think if the Bears win vs the Packers, it's almost guaranteed a playoff spot. Pretty crazy though that a team that is 11-6 might miss the playoffs though.
Where's the Shedeur, aka the goat's segment??? Just wondering because I think it's funny how a man in his mid 50s that works for the NFL would root completely against one kid's (Dillion) football dream just because his friends son, not his, was drafted behind him. Regardless of who the better qb is, that's just cold, bias and unprofessional
When the season started I the bears at i had the bears at 8-9 with progress for qb. Where 10-4the 2nd seed in nfc and all we need is a win to lock in playoff spot im cool if Caleb Williams doesn't get 4k yard this season. We can do that next season when everything clicking
the NFC NORTH is a murderes row going into Week 16……… all three possibilites exist
– Bears, Loins make it, Greenbay misses playoffs
– Bears, Greenbay make it, Loins miss playoffs
– Loins, Greenbay make it, Bears miss playoffs
………… no gimme games all seven of them these three teams play over the next three weeks……..
two of which feature, minnesota who are suddenly on a heater
I know I need to hear Rich tell us he was off on that Browns upset pick. Ill be waiting lol.
Praying for a Bears Win this week and Rams loss! Get us the #1 Seed again!!!
I have been questioning the substance of the Bears success a lot this season. They won several games by luck. That said, they have also improved. I still do not think they will win the division. IF they win both remaining home games, then count me on the bandwagon.
Rich ur one of the few tv personifies beside colin that give the bears their due respect thank u
i prefer the original studio
It's the Browns who the Green Bay Packers lost too???
The Browns beat the Packers this year? Does that not cross your minds. People who talk about sports for a living?
I love this guy!! He doesn’t sugar coat it or bash it. He sees what is really happening
We can talk about the Bears missing the playoffs but not the Packers? They are the darlings of the NFL this year. Also, we act like the Bears can’t beat the Niners. The titans just put up 27 and lost by only a touch down. Put some respect on my Bears.
Once again, as it seems to be the case all year. Overlooked. Underestimated. Yet here my 🐻' are, holding 1st, again!! 🐻⬇️
🐻⬇
Remember… THE BROWNS BEAT THE PACKERS EARLIER THIS YEAR
Sanders playing like the backup he is. 🤣
🐻⬇️ WE ARE COMING 🐻⬇️
Love it Rich, Bear Down!!!
Caleb Williams has the lowest pass completion percentage I believe of any regular starter in the NFL. Worse than Cam Ward. Also his fourth down conversion rate which is now a critical component of successful nFL QBs games is also one of the lowest. That said he does have talent and ability. But as of right now I think he is a huge beneficiary of a great coaching job by Ben Johnson and staff. Honestly if he started beating QBs like Jared Goff and Jordan Love I might hold my tongue. We’ll see what he does in the coming weeks.
Rich doesn't want to hear it. "It" being the truth. The truth being that there are elite teams and trash teams and the trash teams have nothing to play for at this point. An NFC North team gets to finally play a trash team after playing good teams all season long and absolutely destroys them because they are trash. Conferences are a joke. You can punch your playoff ticket with a .500 record in the NFC south or miss the playoffs with 10+ wins in the North or East with a way tougher schedule. Such a stupid system.
If the rosters were all healthy, I'd say that Detroit and Green Bay both win out and the Bears lose out finishing 3rd in the conference. But since both those teams have a pile of injuries, the Bears could pull it off. With as bad as the Lions and Packers IR list is, the 49ers are probably the hardest team the Bears have to play.
I was there for the coldest game in soldier field it was -13 bears vs. pack, and I went to this past game. The pack game was by far way colder 😂 my beer was a literal slushy. Oh, and the bears won. 🐻 👇
And the THREE was a gift. Had BJ punted instead of going for it the field position would be entirely different!
I'm a Chicago Bear fan but now let me realize does Garrett have any help on the defense that's one of the best defensive players in the league and it's not analyzed because his team's losing if they went Sanders better build around them Cleveland it's a Chicago so long to do this play Cleveland please get these brothers some help
The crazy part? And I’m not saying they’re wrong, but Vegas doesn’t even have CHI in the top 10 for SB odds.
🧀
Last week Rich predicted a big Cleveland win over the Bears. He choked like Shadeur.
The range of possibilities for the Bears in the next three weeks is a huge range all the way from not making the playoffs to being a very high seed.
All three of their games will be tough.
One thing is for sure, though .
With a couple pieces like a pass rusher and maybe a kicker, the bear should be competitive for the next several years.
That Bears-Lions game is going to be meaningful no matter what. Will it be to make the playoffs? Or for a playoff bye? This Packers game is gonna say a lot my friend
Nah they won't. But, when they lose, the media and Bears fans alike will critique him with baby gloves. 😂
Browns beat Green Bay this yr. So which is it? Packers are great or browns are terrible?
As a Midwest resident, I'm so happy when someone from the North East admits we just have a different level of cold out here.
