$36M WR Darius Slayton managed to drop all these passes

  1. Wild people have supported this guy after year 2. Literally year after year he shows you who he is. A WR 3/4 who stat pads and absolutely folds in crucial moments

  2. His fumble during the Saints game felt like the momentum shift that the Giants never recovered from.

  3. I don’t hate Slayton at all. I just know on any other team he’s a WR 4. Because the Giants are a complete disaster, he’s treated as a 1.

  4. I have never liked him as a receiver period his drops has cost the team so many games it’s crazy we were lucky not to lose the playoff game against the Vikes when he dropped a pass that would have iced the game. The next head coach will do one of two things cut him or keep him on the bench.

  5. Giants need to trade him for a fifth or sixth round pick Darius Slayton is just a liability to the team.

  6. To be fair to Slayton this is who he’s always been even in college. The knock was always he has hands of stone. The problem was paying him 36 million to continue lol. He’s an excellent #4 and a serviceable #3. that’s it and ain’t nothing wrong with that.

  7. We will start winning games when guys like him and Gillian and a bunch of others are off our team. Those guys don’t contribute to winning, only losing

  8. If you’ve ever caught a football in NFL gloves you’d know how hard it is to drop a ball. Legitimately its like flypaper. I was out there doing single hand Odell catches completely shocked at how the ball sticks.

  9. He’s a WR3 and fairly paid yet I see this almost weekly,

He doesn’t speak out against the franchise as a diva, he’s great for the locker room and not a nutcase and he usually averages 600/700 yards per year

If anyone can find a wide receiver that would actually want to be here let me know

Also don’t forget any free agent WR that we get we will have to pay the we suck tax in free agency

  10. Has anyone tried explaining to the team what the words mean?

For example Slayton might be unclear what a receiver is?

Likewise many of the defence seem unclear what defending or tackling is.

  11. Hey it isn’t his fault he was paid 36M, I would have signed that contract too lol.

Blame Joe Schoen for the malpractice in giving a practice squad level receiver that kind of money.

  12. He’s been this guy since college with drops. He’s a great teammate but his hands are way too unreliable to have on the field as a starter.

  13. He’s a good guy and definitely beloved in the locker room but he has been cheeks for a while

  14. I love Slayton but he has been dropping important passes since he’s been drafted. This ain’t nothing new. His first couple of years he had ole BRICK HANDS himself Engram taking most of the heat.

  15. “But we have slayton, richie james, wandale fucking robinson at a terrifying 5 foot 8, and other doordash drivers that would be everyone elses WR1s, you just don’t know what you’re talking about!” – this sub the last 3-4 years.

  16. Slayton has not had a good year. You can argue that the team wins at least two more games if he doesn’t make key mistakes.

  17. There’s a reason why he was almost cut in 2022 and opened the season as a healthy scratch behind WRs named Kenny golladay, Richie James and David Sills. Furthermore in 2022 when we were hit with injuries, Hodgins was brought in and wound up being our default WR1 in the later part of the season and the playoffs. Slayton, currently is a WR3 for us behind nabers and wandale. On a competent NFL team he is a WR4 at best or a WR5 who also plays special teams. I’ve been done with him since that Thursday Night drop against Washington in 2021. The sad thing is he’s still don’t the same thing in 2025.
