Milwaukee is interested in Jerami Grant, per Jake Fischer

  1. I thought they should have gone for Jerami instead of Kuzma when they did that deal — he does seem like a good fit there, even if it was more so that way in their Dame era.

Do we think there’s any shot we get draft equity from them in a deal like this? Or are we just taking back Kuzma and Portis back and getting off money earlier?

  2. Trading with a team that has strong incentive for you to stink in a couple years is a dangerous game for Milwaukee. I’d be shocked if Portland accepted any deal that involves them keeping Giannis – and if they did it would be because they think it’s a fleece that keeps the Giannis/Milwaukee future doomed

  3. Milwaukee has nothing I would want that we don’t have already from them lol. Maybe last year version of Grant but not this year’s

  4. I can’t wait to see the Kyle Kuzma show, empty stats, chucking. etc. shit’s gonna be AWESOME

  5. Giannis for Jerami Grant. Toss in Ryan Rupert to really convince them. Caleb Love if they don’t budge

  6. MIL experiencing Stockholm syndrome with us. Hoping WAS gets it too and gives us Kispert

  7. GA for Grant, Sharpe and Scoot plus a return of their draft capital works on the trade checker, if they were ready to make the plunge.

  8. This is just an aggregator reporting on an already bad source

The report was actually that Fischer(who’s trash) believes the Bucks “could” be interested because they were interested in Grant in the past lol

  9. How about Jerami, Scoot, Sharpe, the Milwaukee swaps back and a decent Portland first-rounder for Giannis? New team, new you!

  10. But we have a vested interest in the Bucks being bad. If Jerami Grant incentives Giannis to stay in MIL (which I personally don’t believe it would — JG’s a really good player but he doesn’t improve their championship odds in the slightest), then we shouldn’t agree to that deal.

On top of that, MIL is pretty low on assets. Most teams probably see Grant’s contract as a negative asset but there are probably some contending teams who might take a chance given how productive he’s been, so if we’re selling, we need to be selling high, and MIL doesn’t have much to offer.

Still think the best way get involved with MIL is to jump on the inevitable Giannis trade as a third team where we give MIL their picks back and scoop up the most promising young player from wherever Giannis goes. (Preferably a two-guard who can hit from three with some legit consistency.)

  11. Why don’t we just skip a few steps and have them pay Grant’s salary while he plays for us?
