  3. I like Bo at 2nd. I’ve been saying this for years, he’s a below average SS that can hit with the best of them. Seeing him at second, even injured in the WS just fit. I think he can be elite at 2nd, but I don’t think he wants to play there.

  7. My favourite Buck quote of the year, and I wish I could remember which game it was from: 

    “The Jays are gonna have to use multiple guys to fill Bo’s hole.”

    The phrasing may have been even more hilarious than that. 

  14. If it’s 2nd base, then they should 100% do it.

    Look, I get that Tucker is the better player. But the fact is, Tucker is getting more money than Bo. So if you can get Bo for 70% of Tucker, then you can also use the remaining Tucker money for someone else. I think this front office can easily get Tucker value out of Bo and another player for the same, if not less money than, Tucker.

  16. It’s interesting that Buck’s sending this message now. A beloved fan favourite is spreading a message that’s clearly come from from the player’s camp. I wonder who it’s for, and I suspect it isn’t us.

  18. At this point, if Bo wanted to stay here, he would have signed already. He’s had enough time to test the market.

  19. Buck is spot on. I would honestly be shocked if Bo doesn’t sign with the Jays, and I would also be shocked if he plays SS going forward. Gimenez is clearly better defensively, and Bo loves the team.
    I only see him signing anywhere else if some owner offers him an insane amount of cash that the Jays wouldn’t match.

  22. What’s the longevity of Gimenez at SS though? He said last season it was really tough on his body, so can he handle a full season there?

  23. Depends on the market and Bo’s pride to willingly give up the most premium of positions to stay.

  30. I still find the “Bo could play 3rd” stuff that the media keeps putting out very confusing. I get that the range factor might be part of it but his arm is not one I would want on the corner.

  31. I believe Bo wants to play in Toronto. Does Atkins want Bo? The org has been pretty quiet on this front. I would like to see Bo back.his contact hitting profile with some power fits well in the line up

  33. I keep hearing three things which don’t really work together:

    1. Jays are front runners for Bo

    2. Jays are front runners for Tucker

    3. Jays are unlikely to get both

  34. I will say I’m a bit disappointed Ha-Seong Kim signed. Was kind of hoping to get him over Bo (and I love the Bo/Vladdy vibes and have funkos and inception cards of both on my desk) but at the same time I felt like Tucker and Kim would be a major upgrade. I feel less confident we’ll get both and I feel like I’d rather have Tucker but also don’t want Bo to go if we don’t have a solid defensive replacement with league average hitting.

  35. Expand Bo and sign Tucker.

    You charge us enough for phone/cable/internet to get it done.
