lol bullshit
I am glad we did not do that.
If true the only way this got out would be directly from Adams. I think if that was proven they could probably stop paying him. Or, it’s made up.
Saying players would have been included in a realistic offer, does not mean they were actually offered up by management.
Terry to KA: “Do you know how many Zach benson is over last 10 games? You are fired Kevin!”
Glad it didn’t go through, Benson is a treasure

Ah so Adams had chosen death
Hell no not benson
that must be what got Adams shitcanned 😅
“apart” would mean they **weren’t** part of the trade offer lol.
The problem with trading Benny is the fact that you’ll be looking for a player just like him.
Canucks definitely wanted a centerman back , so I doubt it
Not a great trade offer for Vancouver honestly. Maybe if they added Powers. So Powers, Byram and Benson and maybe a 1st for Hughes and maybe Marcus Petterson? Buffalo gets basically young Bobby Orr and a defenseman that can play comfortably on the 2 and 3rd pairs. But all of this doesn’t even matter if Quinn isn’t willing to stay in Buffalo.
The article says nothing about us offering Benson. It claims that’s what Vancouver would have wanted, which is completely different
Who doesn’t want Hughes? I get that… but that’s why dude just lost his job. I’m not saying Dahlin is better than Hughes, but when you have a Dahlin, and you don’t have the forwards that you need, why in the fuck would you trade the most promising young forward you’ve drafted in years for a guy who’s going to play a role you can already fill? Dahlin is as good offensively as a defensemen gets. Are you going to sign Hughes? How? Now between Dahlin, Power, and Hughes, you’re probably well over 30 million on 3 offensive defensemen, one of whom isn’t panning out the way he’s supposed to be as of late. So sell low on Power or sell the farm for a guy who’s leaving in a year and a half and won’t help the glaring issues that this team has. This reeks of an “I need a splash to save my ass” type of trade offer and I’m glad it didn’t go through. It doesn’t matter how many elite offensive dmen you have if your forwards can’t score.
Do we really need another first round defenseman though?
Sabres “somewhat inquired “ and that would explain why . That deal would require at least a 1 st round pick . Hughes reason for leaving Vancouver improves how if he joined the Sabres ?
Good on Adams for getting his foot in the door .
I don’t think this trade would’ve been good for either team. The Sabres would’ve lost QH next season for sure, and losing a 200ft pest that would be hard to replace. Not concerned about Byram loss.
I think Canucks did better and the Sabres have ZB still and can move on from Byram in another move.
wouldve been crazy for the duchene trade tree
ERRRRRRRRRRRR UUUUUUUH
Thats my impression of the horn from spongebob. Im glad KA is fucking gone, just reminded me to change my PFP
I get the potential of Benson and I like him a lot, but why are folks on this sub acting like he scores 50 goals a season for us right now?
Why would the Sabres trade for a star player with 1.5 years left on their contract until they are a UFA
Would have been a tough pill to swallow with Hughes just being a rental. Would have been well worth it with an extension though.
Ya dont trade a benson on this team. You can’t afford to have players who aren’t out there trying every single shift. Maybe I’m biased as he’s my favorite current sabre to watch.
I don’t believe that the Sabres were involved and I don’t even believe it got this far.
I would give up both those players for 8 years of Quinn Hughes. I would give up one of those players for rental Quinn Hughes.

And trading a forward who at that point had 1 goal had to be so eye catching to Vancouver.
