I’d only trade KP outright one to one for AD, other then that kick rocks and let’s ride what we got and hope KP can actually play this year.
I think it makes sense to ask, and if they won’t take a reasonable offer then back off. Similar to Brandon Ingram last year or Pascal the year before.
AD makes too much money over the next three seasons to be in street clothes on our bench.
Dude wants an extension too…
I’d do KP + salary filler + 1st for AD. But I doubt it happens. Onsi doesn’t seem like the guy who wants to tie up our books long term.
AD? really?
surely our FO does not think a 32 year old who’s nickname is a joke about his unavailability is about to hit some renaissance where that changes
does AD play more than 50 games again for the rest of his career? We got that at home, folks
I don’t mind AD joining the team or the money for this year & next, but the $62 million player option in 27/28 for someone this injury-prone scares me.
Honestly just stay put for now. The Pels/Bucks pick looks really good, and that Cavs pick is looking better than we thought.
Hawks can’t afford AD, if he was making 45 mill then we could but he isn’t. Unless Trae takes a super team friendly extension the money doesn’t work unless we want to pay the tax
Feels almost identical to the Brandon Ingram story last season. It was reportedly between Atlanta and Toronto. Atl tried to lowball while Toronto probably did a slight overpay. Wouldn’t be surprised if that same thing happens here
No to AD. Always hurt. Past his prime. Too much money.
Please don’t. This would cripple the team
We only don’t have the best offer because we aren’t including the stuff we would offer for Giannis. Mr. Glass is not worth the good stuff.
Can we not?
Literally the only reason I’d be excited about trading KP + Kennard + 1 FRP that isn’t the 2026 Pels for AD is that it would stop Kennard from playing another minute for us and take away Quinn’s ability to play the KKK lineup.
This tweet seems really strangely worded. We have like 5 FRPs available to trade, and plenty of expiring salary or young players. It’s not like Atlanta can’t field one of the best offers around the league for any player right now, seems more likely Atlanta isn’t willing to pay an amount that entices Dallas, not that we can’t.
Only doing it if it’s based around KP and a pic that isn’t the NO pick. Otherwise, kick rocks.
Plus Dallas has Kyrie, doubt they want Trae.
GIVE EM THE KKK
Is it unreasonable to say I don’t want AD because he never plays?
I don’t want AD
We are not cleaning up Nico’s mess for Dallas
If we giving away picks why not just call and ask for Zubac lol
Atlanta is trying to send KP and Luke for AD, love it lol
We do need to package KP and Kennard for something going forward, expiring contracts are super valuable and don’t want to waste em
KP seems to play less than AD
I’d rather trade for Zubac tbh
Let’s trade 1 expensive injury prone big man for another, then throw in picks? Thats an easy no way Jose! I’d rather stay put, see how we do this year, then after the draft and free agency next year, we should have a perfect feel to what we need to do to win it all. We have too much young talent to so trading packages away.
