Demco again through the screen with a glove save. Now center and a weak shot as Lafernire had a stick chip. Canucks fail to clear. Panera wrist shot DIFFICULT TO SAVE. GARLAND gets the puck, banks it to himself and on the back hand he sends it all the way down towards the empty net. He scores. Connor Garland on the backand from long distance and he continues to pick up the points as he makes it three nothing Vancouver with a short-handed goal. And then Garland's going to knock the puck to the corner and then hoist it. up over in three nothing Canucks. Short-handed goal there in the camp. He's got Rossy at center. Chasing after the puck. He's on side. Puts it across. Brock Ber shoots. Stopped by Quick. Two and a half to go and the Conucks now leading by three. That was the fourth short-handed goal of the season for Vancouver as Darlin joins Kefir Sherwood, Drew O' Conor, and Elias Patterson with short-handed tallies for Vancouver this year. Here's Sherwood stealing. Cuts in on the back. Tees it up for Kane and a pass saved by Quick. Was able to cover the puck and get the win. >> Just comfortable defending in tight games. Here's a blocker saved by Demco. Quick heads to the bench again. The Rangers pull the goalie once more. What a debut he had Sunday against the Devils. And now he's part of a winning effort here against the New York Rangers. It's a shut out effort for the Vancouver Conucks. 10th career for Thatcher. Canucks get their first shut out as a team in 62 games.

Evander Kane opened the scoring early in the first, while goaltender Thatcher Demko shut the door for a 23-save shutout to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-0 win over the New York Rangers.
