"I take accountability for this one," Dart said after the game. "I didn't play well enough today for this team to win, so I've got to be better, especially in that situation. I didn't play good enough for our team today."

One example is when Dart was asked about a pass that veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton dropped in the end zone. It came on the heels of another key drop by Slayton that would have aided a possible Giants' scoring drive.

"Yeah, definitely just didn't put a good enough throw on it," Dart said. "That wasn't the play that was designed, it was a communication that me and him had in the huddle, just to a route off of an adjustment that we ran a few times during the game. So, yeah, that's definitely one you want back."

Dart is just taking fire for his underperforming teammates and coaches at the moment, but he is fooling no one. Everyone knows he is one of the few hits Joe Schoen has had in his four years as the Giants' general manager.

It's time for the Giants to get serious about winning again. Dodging or shifting accountability is not the way to get there.

  1. It’s okay Jaxson, we all know he’s ass, soon he and Schoen will be gone and you’ll get better WRs

  2. hmm not sure that’s how that works lol the ball was on the money, he should’ve caught it, end of story.

  3. Yea, nah, slayton has butterfingers. He is so un-clutch. It’s a shame, I’ve always rooted for the guy, he’s a great teammate and he doesn’t quit, I like him and I think he’s a good guy. But him still being on this team (at least for that money) is yet another giants FO mistake. It’s good to see Dart be a leader and stand up for his guys though, taking flak for them. Kid is the last bright spot in a dark season

  4. This is exactly what you want from your QB and eventual captain of your team. Not pointing fingers

  5. Listen it wasn’t a great ball, he threw to the wrong shoulder, but slayton still should’ve caught it

  6. Hes played what, 9 games? And hes quickly climbing my all time favourite Giants list. Just exciting to watch, and saying all the right things off the field.
There is light boys, just hold on.

  7. It was definitely a bad throw. It was to the wrong shoulder. But was a worse lack of catch in my opinion. It wasn’t a missile. It was falling over his opposite should; lots of NFL receivers (who catch for a living) make that catch.

  8. Dart: “it’s my fault, I didn’t sneak stickum onto his gloves before the drive, I’ll do better next time”

  9. Notable, by the way, that Dart did not take personal responsibility for the Hyatt INT, instead saying something about how “we weren’t on the same page”. Speaks volumes about whose fault Dart thinks that INT was.
