I so look forward to this email every week! You’re crushing it!
I’ve been watching for these all season and haven’t seen any posts until now. Have I just missed them? Anyway, I didn’t see any notes on your site about keeping the clinching scenarios simple by not including ties, but you’re missing some:
– Bills clinch if they win and either the Colts or Texans lose OR TIE
– Bills clinch if they tie and either the Colts or Texans lose
Most of what we need to happen has a great chance of actually happening
I’m at the point where we just need to take care of our own business. If we win out, we’re the 5 seed AT WORST as long ANY of these things happen:
– Chargers lose to ANY of: Cowboy, Jaguars, Broncos
– Broncos lose to Jaguars, OR Chiefs
5 seed is fine. At the AFC north champ, hopefully Pittsburgh.
Steelers need to EITHER:
– Beat ravens, OR
– Have a better record in their other 2 games than the Ravens. Steelers play Browns and Lions, Ravens play Patriots and Packers.
And of course winning the division would be great – would be nice to play at home, I’d much rather play a tough wild card team at home than go on the road for the whole playoffs.
I would add that Patriots losing to Ravens and Bills beating Browns could be enough to rest some people against the Eagles.
Are there any scenarios where we can get the one seed still?
