back when uh before the uh Olympic break you were at 50 points. So playing like Gretzky like so are you uh aware of how great this has been for you so far? >> I mean it’s great that um I mean we’re uh I think win 16 and we had 20 all of last year. So I think we’re just doing a great job kind of playing and um I mean we’re we’re I mean we’re in a playoff spot um which is kind of new for me. And uh I mean we’ve just been playing good hockey. >> M I was gonna say yeah take take us through that spinama goal and uh what did you see on the play and did you kind of know ahead of time that you were going to try that? >> Yeah I mean it was kind of just reaction um I mean graph made a good good play on the wall to kind of intercept it and then um just found me in the middle and um it was just all kind of reactionary but it was a little lucky it goes off my hip. >> You had a pretty big smile. I mean how how much did you enjoy just scoring a goal like that? I mean, I think it’s just I mean, we love winning. Our our group kind of I mean, it’s fun. It’s it’s enjoyable to be around the rink when when you’re winning and um you’re playing well as a group and and you just kind of kind of feed off it. So, um it’s just it’s just more fun when when you’re winning. >> What was the reaction from players on the ice and the bench when you scored that goal? What did people say? >> Died on you. ever >> a guy like Barkley Gro see him get two goals tonight just you know what have you seen from Barkley what has he meant to this team the last couple of years? >> I mean he’s he’s meant everything. I think he’s been our rock. Um he doesn’t get as much credit as he should. Um his leadership role, the way he kind of carries himself and and speaks up in the locker room and talks to guys and treats people. Um and then his play on the ice. I mean, he does all this stuff that that doesn’t get recognized and so valuable to win games. So, um, I mean, there’s a reason he’s won Stanley Cup and he’s just been awesome for us. >> Mac, I know you don’t like talking about yourself, but tonight just from the jump and Tyler said the same thing. It just looked like you had a little extra energy tonight. It’s just one of those games you came and you just felt like everything was going really well. Your feet were moving, the puck was following you around. What is it like to to have that much go go go right on one night? I think it’s nice just I mean this was the first time we had uh we weren’t playing every other night for a little bit and I mean obviously the road trip was kind of took a lot out of us so I think just that those two days kind of gave our our whole group a little bit more energy >> when you look at just the schedule and and the travel and win lose now you guys have won three in a row. How important was it to settle down and just get back to your game after you know giving up those two goals against? >> Yeah, I think uh I mean I mean you you know like you’re going to go through ups and downs where I mean we went through a losing streak at the start of the year. Then we went through a streak where we won one, lost one for about 10 games. And then um now we’re we’re kind of figuring out how to how to kind of string games together, which has been our goal. And um yeah, it feels good just to kind of get our group all all on the same page. >> What do you think of Turner shot? >> He was great. Um it’s uh fun playing with him. He’s obviously a big body and um super smart. I mean, we almost connected on a couple plays there and um yeah, he looked great. Exactly. >> Year two, how much has the game slowed down for you? Have you progressed this much in the second year of your career? >> Sorry. >> How how much has it slowed down for you, the game? >> Um, I think it’s just more comfortable, more chemistry with my teammates. Um, it’s just more familiar, the the games, the travel, all of it. It’s just a little bit more kind of used to all that all that other stuff. >> Okay. Thank you.
