Miami Heat Fans Get MORE BAD News On Tyler Herro + Positive Giannis Antetokounmpo Update?

We got a lot to talk about. We got Tyler Hero injury news. Is there another bad injury update on Tyler? But did Miami get a good update in the chances of acquiring Jiannis Anthonyo in a trade prior to the deadline in early February. We’re going to start with the injury news. We know what happened on Monday in the game against the Raptors. Yoic suffered that nasty larceration on his arm. Tyler Hero did not play well. He practiced today. Hero, Larson, Yoic, and Powell all did not participate. Powell is dealing with left cap tightness and there are many injuries on this Miami Heat team. Well, the Heat are going on a little bit of a road trip. Just a quick three gamer. Brooklyn on Thursday, Boston on Friday, and Nicole Yoic and Pel Larson aren’t even traveling with the team. That’s honestly not that surprising. Now, positively, Hero and Powell are flying with the team. There are reports and rumors that Hero is hoping to join the team at some point on this three-game road trip, but it will not be on Thursday night. He has already been ruled out of the game against the Brooklyn Nets. Now, Norman Powell is questionable for the game on Thursday, but the question is, how is Hero missing back-to-back games after having five days off in between the Magic game on December 9th to the game against Toronto on Monday? Well, apparently the foot injury is getting worse. He underwent a second MRI on Tuesday in less than two weeks. Hero took a toridal shot. I have no clue to play against the Magic. It hasn’t gotten better. Probably shouldn’t have practiced, but I’m trying to control the swelling and inflammation. Hero said, “Well, it’s very clear of one thing, folks. Tyler Herro rushed his return back to the lineup for the Miami Heat. Obviously, he missed the first month of the year with that foot injury, then suffers a toe injury, and then you’re like, “Okay, he misses like three, four, five games, whatever that is, and then he’s back.” But apparently he should have given it more time to rest with that toe injury because it’s not going away. And as we just said, he had a second MRI on the toe and had to take a shot in order to play on Tuesday against Orlando. And I get it. It was an NBA Cup elimination game. But if we have to take a shot to play a game, it’s the [ __ ] regular season. Like, I don’t give a [ __ ] about the NBA Cup. Why are we risking future injury with Tyler Herro to have him play in a meaningless November December basketball game? Seriously, NBA Cup DON’T MATTER FOR [ __ ] WHY ARE WE TRYING TO GET HIM BACK ON the court just because it is a quote unquote elimination game? Like, why did we do this? That is dumb. Dumb, I tell you. Make sure you follow me over on Twitter.Nick_roll is the handle. We’re 47 followers away from 2.6,000. be pretty cool to hit there. I send out daily Miami Heat tweets. We have you covering everything you need to know. Go give me a follow. Hero is so pivotal to what Miami does. And although they struggled in the games Hero played in the six, not that good of a record, about 500 basketball. I still think he is very key and pivotal to what the Miami Heat do. And I and I don’t think you can try to really take that away from him. He currently, I know it’s only six games, but would have a 50 4090 season. You see his field goal percentage and three-point percentage shooting 93% from the free throw line in those six games. Sure, the scoring is down ever so slightly. The assist numbers are really down as well. Averaged five and a half last season, but that’s more or less because of the way the Heat’s offensive scheme flows. It’s not a twoman game with Hero having the ball in his hands for most of the shot clock. But in this new system, the Heat got off to a really hot start, but it’s been really ugly over the last month. The Heat need Tyler Herro. And for the Tyler Herro haters, I’m sorry to burst your bubble. He makes the Miami Heat better, despite what you try to say. And yes, I understand the defensive lacking with him and Powell on the floor. But you know what’s been the biggest issue for the Miami Heat over the last month with this team really struggling? It’s been their offense and specifically their three-point shooting. Look at the numbers fall off of a cliff when you look at the first three weeks of the season compared to the last month of the season. They’ve gone from the first ranked team in points per game to the 14th. They’ve gone from seventh in field goal percentage to 22nd. They’ve gone from eighth in three-point percentage to 19th in three-point percentage. They have had an inability to consistently shoot the three that is affecting their offense. It is also affecting the way they defend, which isn’t probably a good thing, but it’s the truth. They got to defend no matter if shots are falling or not, but you’ve seen a crazy decrease in three-point percentage. A lot of that has fallen on Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, and Simone Fontekio. Now, obviously, 50% 46.6% 6% shooting from three was not going to be sustainable and Norman Pal still shooting a really good 40% from three in the last month. But Fontekio and Wiggins becoming below average three-point shooters simply can’t happen when Tyler Hero is out of the lineup. I’m not trying to come up here and reinvent the wheel. I’m going to still admit I question the fit of Tyler Herro and Norman Powell together because both of them are volume scorering guards who do not defend at an average level at best. But you do need your best three-point shooter in the lineup when your team is struggling to score consistently because they’ve been shooting at an abysmal rate from beyond the ark over the last month. So, yes, the fit between those two on the court is not great, and there needs to be a solution there, but you need Hero on the floor to try to end some of these offensive woes we’ve seen over the last three to four weeks. Hero hopefully returns to the court sooner rather than later. Miami does need him, even if you don’t want to hear that. We’re going to move from the injury updates to Giannis Anthonyo update because I do think Miami got a pretty positive update. If you are someone who wants to have Giannis land in the 305, Jake Fischer had a very interesting report on one of his shows saying the Thunder Spurs and Rockets are not expo expected to join the Giannis sweep stakes which would allow Miami, a potentially appealing team to Giannis to offer herware draft picks and maybe slightly more in another team not be able to top that. I have talked about this. The Spurs could top the Heats package very easily with draft capital and their top two young players, Stefan Castle, Dylan Harper. The Thunder could top the Heats package with one of Homegr or Jaylen Williams in all of their draft capital. The Rockets could top the package with their draft capital as well as a men Thompson, Reed Shepard. But those teams aren’t likely ending their young core to go get Giannis Antinmpo because they know what they have and they like what they have. So, when you compare it to the other teams here like the Knicks who are potentially Giannis as the nation, are they able to top the Heat’s package? I don’t think so. But I’ll say this, if you still want to get Giannis, he’s going to have to ask out. The Bucks aren’t just going to trade him. And I’ll explain more here, but this episode is brought to you by Prize Fix. It’s the holiday season, which means you got bowl games, basketball matchups, playoff pushes. where decide what to eat, what game to watch, what gifts to buy, and there’s only one place where it feels good to be right, and that is prize picks. New feature, early payouts. If your lineup gets off to a hot start, you may now have the option to cash out those winnings before the game even finishes. You can now put your same player into the same lineup to three times as well. Want to go more than on Norman Powell, threes, fantasy score, rebounds. Well, now you can pick all of them in the same lineup only on prize picks. I have an entry for the game in college football Friday night, Alabama, Oklahoma. More than Jean Matier, rushing yards and more than Orion Williams reception. Should be a fun one. I’m getting in on the action. Download the Prize Fix app today and use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Price fix. It’s good to be right. When I talk about Giannis having to request a trade, it makes sense that Milwaukee just isn’t going to trade Giannis for the fun of it, right? Why would they trade a top three player in the NBA who’s not asking out? But you see some of these reports coming out of Milwaukee and maybe from Giannis’s camp as well about it being a staring contest where the Bucks are doubling down and saying, “We’re not trading you unless you make it known to the world and kind of vilify yourself in a way that you’re requesting a trade.” So they’re not dealing them until Giannis ask out. And as much as it pains me to bring this up, but if the Heat want to end up landing Giannis Hansen and Koopo, I think it has to be before the deadline in February before other teams maybe re-evaluate the idea of going after Giannis and have more trade assets at their disposal. Giannis has to Jimmy Butler this thing or James Harden this thing. Make it a little ugly. I know he doesn’t want to, but he’s going to have to and vilify himself by requesting a trade. And I gota be honest, would Bucks fans even hate Giannis? He multi-time MVP, won them a title, and it’s clear that the Bucks organization made wrong move after wrong move trying to build around Anthony Kmpo. The Damen Lillard stuff, trading away Drew Holiday, then waving and stretching Lillard and going out and getting Miles Turner. Like, would Bucks fans blame Giannis for requesting a trade? I don’t think so. So, if he requests a trade and puts Miami on the list, I think that he can get this done, but it has to start with a trade request. So, predict it for me. Will Giannis request a trade? Type Y for yes or type N for no. Pin comment on today’s episode. Go. Let me know your thoughts. If he doesn’t request a trade, Milwaukee ain’t going to trade him. And they’re operating. They know he’s probably not the most happy camper in the organization, but they are going to do everything in their power to make moves to make them a larger contender in the East and ultimately make Giannis want to stay with the Bucks. I mean, you had this report from Eric Nem, the athletics Milwaukee Bucks reporter, saying that even after all of the moves with Lillard and Miles Turner and the bad kind of omen with Milwaukee and Giannis, currently, league sources say that the Bucks are still considering making another significant addition that might aid their chances of convincing him to stay. And there are a couple of names being floated out there in rumors. One of them, ironically enough, and I put in parenthesis, lol, is Andrew Wiggins because like one, what are the Milwaukee Bucks going to trade? They have no draft capital to trade because they have no control over their picks. They don’t have any young good players outside of Ryan Rollins, but who the hell wants Ryan Rollins? Like, how are they going to acquire a good player to build around Giannis and and Miles Turner potentially? And is Andrew Wiggins gonna be someone that elevates them? Absolutely not. Another name out there was Michael Porter Jr. But another guy is like, what are they trading for MPJ? And is he going to elevate them? I don’t think so. So to me, Giannis needs to make his mind up. But also, so does Miami. I think Giannis and Miami are very similar in a way that makes a lot of sense to me. Giannis has to pick a direction. Are you going to stop flirting about requesting a trade and just sack up and do it? Or are you going to stay in Milwaukee, not compete for a title, and be unhappy, but be a loyal guy who stayed with Milwaukee his entire career? But like Miami, very similarly, they need to pick a direction. Are they going to go all in and trade for Giannis or heck even make a deal for like a disgruntled guy like Kawhi Leonard, John Morant, Trey Young, LaMelo Ball? or are they going to stay in the middle and be mediocre like they are right now where they win four games in a row, they lose four games in a row, but won’t ever contend for a title. You could also go the opposite direction and trade Norman Powell at the deadline for a first round pick. Trade Andrew Wiggins at the deadline for a first round pick. Heck, maybe even trade Tyler Herro for a first round pick. and then really accumulate draft assets to go attack the off season and build around Bam Edio, DaVon Mitchell, and some of these other young guys. You got to pick a direction. Either go all in or trade away some of these veterans for draft capital to help you in the future because what’s going on right now ain’t going to result in a championship. So, please go make something happen. And we’ll be here every step of the way between now and the trade deadline and beyond. So, hit that sub button and join us Thursday night for a live show. 1. This team is a joke!!! They just need to hospital in wheel. The worse part of it this has been happening every year! There’s always one guy hurt, Herro, Bam, or Niko and now Powel c’mon 😡 Maybe they’re playing too hard during training

  2. Definitely need to trade Wiggins, Powell, Bam, Fontechio and move in a new direction. Those vets aren’t getting anything done in the NBA in 2025. Let’s stop delaying what needs to happen

  3. Trade those three players (Herro, Powell and Wiggins) and amasse some first and second round picks to build around Bam, Ware, Jaquez, Mitchell, Larsson and Jakučionis. But more importantly, they should position themselves into getting a top 3 pick and draft possibly their own future franchise player.
