Cleveland Guardians CANCEL Christmas Cut Jhonkensy Noel after Acquiring Justin Bruihl from Toronto

The Cleveland Guardians have traded for Justin Brule and designated first assignment John Kenzie Noel. I’m Jeff Ellis lockdown Guardians and let’s get into these moves. Well, let’s start with the addition. The Cleveland Guardians had Justin Brew from Toronto. He came up as an undrafted free agent with the Dodgers. Has bounced between the minors and the majors, but he’s out of options, so that’s not really a choice anymore. For Cleveland, they’re getting another pitcher with high ground ball rates, a lot of extension, good stuff plus models, and the ability to miss bats. at least last year. It’s another gamble for this team and that’s they’re kind of throwing a bunch of darts when it comes to the bullpen. But at the same time, over the years they’ve had more success with the dart throws than with the more expensive players. I think one thing you really want to take away from it is that all of these players have been more ground ball pitchers. So infield defense matters more than ever. On the other side, John Kenino. Listen, I love Big Christmas. What a time to cut big Christmas. I mean, come on, Cleveland. Uh, it just came down to him and Rodriguez are kind of similar players. Rodriguez, I believe, still has an option left. Noel does not. He’s so much fun. I really want him to be successful. Even if it comes back to haunt Cleveland because he’s a good dude. He’s a lot of fun. Uh, but guys, with his chase rate, it’s always a risk and it just never came together for him here in Cleveland. He’ll get a shot somewhere because of the upside. But, uh, we wish you well. Big Christmas and, uh, if you celebrate, a merry Christmas to you. Thank you for joining us and go go Guardians

  1. Should I categorize this under collateral damage caused by the closer who shall not be named and Ortiz, or would this move have happened anyway?
It feels like we are focused on replacing what we lost rather than bolstering the lineup.
