I don’t people realize how hard it is to get NFL players in the draft, not good players but simply ones that will even be in the squad.

Who’d we drop then?
Damn how’d i forget that To’o To’o was in the same draft class as CJ.
A quality GM is the secret sauce for winning a Super Bowl
And… Stingley, Pitre, Christian Harris and maybe one or two others from 2022.
That’s insane actually. As long as he continues identifying young, cost controlled talent we’ll be able to afford the big contracts and maintain a top end team. Easier said than done but 3+ years is a great track record.
Yea but what about the line? Fire him into the sun /s
Yeah yeah his draft record is good – but how much of that is player development and coaching? It’s hard to extricate.
What isn’t is direct hiring (Jeff fucking Stoutland), and the value you get for your resources. Which, frankly, terrible. See Atlanta or Kirk for example
“Fire Caserio!” they said
Go back and look at how this sub talked about Caserio when we were 0-3. lol glad we turned it around and see how fortunate we are to have the best coach and gm in the game.
Well timed tweeting there, given that Marcus Harris was only re-signed to the practice squad today (presumably because of our DT injury woes) having been released in October 24. (In fairness he was a 7th round pick)
I wonder how that stacks up with the rest of the league
Oh… now everyone wants to be happy when things are coming together. I seem to remember a lot of panic at 0-3
No, we have to fire Caseiro because before he got here, things were awesome and something something O Line…
That 2023 draft secured his job for the next decade. Nick knows how to pick ‘em outside OL, and he’s pretty efficient in the later rounds.
2023 was the start of something special.
Stroud, Will, Scruggs, Hutchinson, Henry, Patterson, and Dell – we barely seen his full season.
Right now all of them start and make significant impact.
Hutch might move to backup next year and offensive line still tba based on finish of this year
Hutchinson pick that late. He isn’t going to be a WR1 anytime soon, but he has been a pretty solid WR3/4 on this team.
A simple downvote was never sufficient for all of the moronic takes suggesting he be fired earlier this season.
there’s a couple others that are no longer texans as far as i can tell, Brandon Hill is out of the league it appears, and same with Marcus Harris.
Guess Marcus Harris is back so nevermind
this is great, but let’s try drafting some offensive lineman and maybe a tight end next time.
Pretty good at the draft absolutely dog shit at free agency
Like if we could get a GM for free agency and then keep Nick for the draft would be perfect
