Astros face new challenges in player positioning #shorts
Parades won’t have to camp out at second very long, but when he’s there, it will be like, okay, he’s there for this game. Maybe you do it against a club that has hardly any left-handed hitters where they’re all hitting the ball to the left side of the field, right? Um, it has to do with matchups. Um, who the Astros have on the mound. Um, are they a ground ball machine? If they’re a flyball pitcher, put them at second because more than likely balls will be hit in the outfield. So, there’s a lot of different things to look at, Eric, here. And one of the things I do is I trust Joe Easada. I trust Dana Brown. I trust the Astros um to go out there and make the right decision. I know it’s incredibly frustrating for a lot of Astros fans because in the run that the Astros were on or some people say are still in in the run that they were on, you had certainty. You know, you knew where the guys were going to play. You knew who was going to play there up until this last year. So, we’re presented with new challenges every year. If anyone thinks the Astros, Dana Brown, Joe Espada and Jim Crane didn't play all this out before trading for Correa, then you don't know how successful organizations, businessmen and people operate. In what world does Jim Crane sign off on the Correa trade and not say
"what happens next year when we have too many infielders?"
