Don’t worry CJ I personally never lost faith (I’m lying)

It’s one thing to maybe adjust where you thought CJs ceiling was after his rookie year. But the people who were saying we should be starting Mills over him are absolutely knuckle dragging morons.
He’s not wrong.
When we were 0-3, people were overreacting to our record, but we were a few plays against some very good teams from being 3-0.
So he is saying that we will lose to Raiders this week /s
Well if this gets us out of the divisional round of the playoffs then I’m all for it, but I’m really not okay with settling anymore ngl. We had a slow start that might very well cost us the division.
I’m tired of being a sneaky good team. I want a damn one seed and a bye week one of these seasons and not have to worry about whether or not we’ll make the playoffs down the stretch or how we’ll look when we get there.
Well yeah, when you start playing better and that translates to wins instead of losses, 0-3 start he was playing terrible, everything falls in line
Jags fan here who doesnt particularly think highly of stroud. But he is absolutely correct and its a league wide issue. Everyone is so reactive in the moment. I am not surprised that its jags and texans now. If you really looked before the season they were the best two rosters in the division
We had bandwagoners in this sub calling for Mills to start. Stroud is right on point. Having to hear people around me say they’re afraid his rookie year was a flash was maddening.
New OC, new oline, new WRs, new RBs and we people were surprised it took time for them to figure out a productive way to win?
Football teams themselves are like start-ups when so many new moving parts are put into place, they have to find out what works by finding out what doesn’t work. Sometimes they don’t, most times they do.
I never lost faith in this team I go into every game with not knowing what to expect bc I have been a life long fan and have seen it all lol. The only person I kind of lost faith in was Mills but that was during the broncos game NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE would I have expected him to pull off 3 wins for us (which when you think about it saved the season) which is crazy. I still don’t think it was money mills out there during the 4th quester of the Jags game lol. But I love these boys
Never lost faith in CJ, or our personnel as a whole, but I did absolutely start losing faith in how effective our offense under Nick Caley could be in his first season. He still has a lot to prove, but has grown on me the last few weeks.
He will not be a Texan for long
It’s not just that they lost but how bad the offense looked.
Dude, welcome to the NFL. Tune it out and accept it for what it is. Do well, get praise. Do poorly, get criticism. That’s true in my job and around the world. Sure they got TV shows talking about you and fans in the stands cheering and booing, but you also make millions for playing a game. It’s part of the package.
I dont know man. I will gladly eat my words if they make a splash in the playoffs this year but cant blame people for freaking at the start to middle part of this season coming off a contender year where we struggled as well. Never lost it for CJ because i think the real problem was coaching. Killer penalties, shifting O line up till after middle of season, bone head play execution, head scratching clock management or play calling in general? We let teams stay in games all year and that hurts when going against legit contenders. Luckily for the Defense and the struggling contenders this year but it was fair to think they were dead in the water at 3-5. Even during this current win streak, you cant ignore some terrible coaching or play calling moments. Maybe because the bar should be so high for this team and to make it far they STILL have to fix those things to survive the close games weve had.
But you would get downvoted to hell if you pointed out that a brand new OC who’s never called plays before and a brand new OLine might need a few weeks to gel. Or that, God forbid, the qb might need time to get comfortable in the new system
I think our salty comments and expert QB insights probably helped. Right, guys? Right?
The second half of the Chiefs game showed there is still a lot to be concerned about.
