4. I like and appreciate letting the guys play. How you play for your MLB team isn’t the only thing that’s allowed to matter or have meaning for them personally. I think a great WBC lifts the profile of baseball in general in many places around the world in a way nothing else does. Also pitching was clearly the weakness that cost the US in the last WBC, so it’s great to see a number of quality pitchers on the roster this time.

5. Hands down one of the most exciting pitchers to watch in MLB. Not at all surprised to see him join.
