OUTRAGE: Miami Heat DOOMED This Trade Deadline After Adam Silver’s DELAY in Terry Rozier Scandal?
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver spoke about the Terry Rosier situation recently in his comments, well, it’ll probably be frustrating some Heat fans, but Wes, as much as I want to talk about basketball, there’s no obvious topic to break down. That’s uh that’s funny, but uh not a lot of humor on this episode. Maybe a lot more anger by Heat fans directed at Adam Silver. Let’s jump in. You are Locked on Heat, your daily Miami Heat podcast, part of the Locked On podcast network. Your team every day. All right, welcome to Locked on Heat, your daily podcast on the Miami Heat. I’m Wes Goldberg, host of Locked on NBA Daily and Real GM Radio. I’m here with David Rmill. Both of us are credentialed Heat Media members who cover this team every day. Uh before we get into some good news and some not so good news about Tyler Herro and Nikico ahead of Thursday night’s game in Brooklyn, I want to talk about what Adam Silver said about Terry Rosier. when speaking to reporters before the NBA Cup final in Vegas. Um, I think when Heat fans read these quotes, hear these quotes, I understand that if what he said makes Heat fans angry when asked if the league plans to make it right to the Heat after they allowed them to trade for Terry Rosier in the middle of him being in the a federal investigation. This is what Adam Silver said. Quote, “It’s an unprecedented situation. We’re going to try to work something out with them, but there’s no obvious solution here.” He went on to say, quote, “Sometimes there’s these unique events and maybe sometimes they require a unique solution.” End quote. David, some lawyer talk in there, but the thing that’s kind of making the headline there is there’s no obvious solution here. I have a lot of thoughts on this, uh, including what I think is an obvious solution. But before I get into that, uh, what was your reaction when you heard this or read this quote? >> Yeah, a little frustrating. Absolutely. I I think you tend to view Silver as the the voice, right? The the the person who gets to make those decisions. And I realize that maybe uh that’s not quite the case. I know he is subject to the whims of 30 different team governors and so maybe it’s not as easy as we might expect it to, but they’ve also been sitting on their hands for quite some time here. And it just feels like they’ve known about the Terry Rosier situation to some degree for over a year and a half. We heard reports about Rosier’s link to uh this investigation as late as last year. So this has been going on for some time. If you wanted to come up with a solution, well, you’ve had plenty of time to do it. And so it just seems like as much as I understand that there’s challenges to trying to solve this unprecedented situation, you’ve had the time to do so. You could have gotten lots of input. And I understand maybe you’re waiting for some more clarification. Well, that clarification has received. They should have had a plan A, a plan B, and a plan B, a plan C in in effect already so that they could figure out, all right, this is what we need to do in order to resolve this, to make this go away, to just kind of take care of everybody involved here so that nobody feels like they’re screwed over. And yet, I think everybody feels that way. I mean, I’m sure the Hornets are probably wondering what’s going on with their situation, like if they’re going to be penalized or if they’re going to be uh they have to make preparations for the the draft at some point knowing what they have available to them. And maybe it’s too early to have those kind of thoughts or at least those plans in effect. But that’s how teams tend to operate and and I think for Miami, hell, they certainly want resolution. Is Rosier’s contract tradable? Are we going to get a pickback? Are we going to get compensated in some way? Who’s being penalized for this? you know, and and look, there’s also some resolution that Terry probably needs as well. He wants to know whether or not he’s going to be able to play in the NBA again, and and maybe that depends on any kind of final judgment determined by the federal government. But at the same time, uh something needs to have been done by now by the NBA front office. When you mentioned plan A, B, and C, in any of those plans, was it not letting the Heat trade for Terry Rosier in the first place when he or at least telling them that Terry Rosier was in a federal in the middle of a federal investigation when they called the league to approve the trade? Was that in any of the plans for the NBA? Cuz that’s the part that I would be the most upset by with the Heat was we didn’t get all of the information. And >> NBA teams, the way this works is front office calls another front office. You work out the details of a trade. Let’s say you agree on that trade. You call it into the front office. And then other things are disclosed. Insurance information, medical information, all of these other things. Also, there’s a gray area where it says anything off the court that could impact a player’s potential availability. the fact that this was not disclosed and the Charlotte Hornets on have not been on record of saying that they even knew about this federal investigation. But Adam Silver has said on television that he knew about the federal investigation. So I don’t want to hear anything of the contrary to that. He said it to cameras. Okay. It was on the league then to inform the Heat and maybe even perhaps the Hornets this player is in the middle of a federal investigation and then make a decision of how to move forward. The Heat have said that they were not aware of that. The Hornets have not said anything about whether they were or were not aware of it. And so I don’t know that the Hornets necessarily need to be punished, but the Heat need to have something been done that the Heat needs something here. Something has to be done to make things right for the Heat. And when Adam Silver and and look, maybe they’ve been dealing with this whole Kawhi Leonard situation. I’ll be willing to give them the benefit of that doubt, right? You’re dealing with this Kawawaii thing. That’s a much bigger deal, I guess, because it’s with the star play or whatever. It came first before the federal investigation came out and all this stuff. Maybe this was there and the Terry Rosier stuff is on the back burner. And we’ve gotten some reporting lately that may that we we should at least have some sort of announcement before the All-Star break on some sort of resolution on the Clippers and Kawaii scandal. So maybe they’re just working one thing at a time. I don’t know that that’s necessarily true. The NBA does work on multiple things at multiple times. are very good at multitasking, except of course when it comes to Tay Rosier. Um when Adam Silver says there’s no obvious solution, I got one. Can we start with letting the Heat know whether or not he can be traded? Let’s just start there. That’s a good starting point. Trade deadline’s coming up. December 15th is coming and gone. Trade season has begun. Giannis is over here. We don’t know what’s going on with him. allowing the Heat to know whether or not they can even trade Terry Rosier would be great. And we’ve already got reporting that the NBA said, “We’re not going to know whether or not the Heat can trade Terry Rosier until they trade terror until they agree to trade Terry Rosier.” How does that make any sense? The NBA is just sitting here pointing fingers at like, “Well, we’re how how could we possibly know? You’re the NBA. You know, all it’s all up to you. It’s completely up to you.” And this is when I miss um honestly David Stern. He would have done something by now, man. Like Adam Silver just sometimes he waffles on this stuff. And maybe that’s just good management, slow playing all this stuff and whatever, but at least giving one of your premier owners who was just inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame a little bit of clarity on this and then figuring out the other stuff. That seems like just the right thing to do. And it just feels like the NBA has completely dropped the ball on this in every single way, including making it worse by freezing Terry Rosier and keeping him away, basically taking him off the roster, but keep being a salary on the books for a Heat team that can potentially win the Eastern Conference, but they have to do it with $26 million less than everybody else in the Eastern Conference because they have a player on their books making $26 million that either can’t play for them and or might not be able to get traded. So, every other team in the East is working with $26 million more than the Miami Heat right now. >> That’s assume the players association has some kind of is a factor in all this. Like I I don’t >> of course I know Silver might not necessarily be as decisive and authoritative as Stern who was quite frankly I mean he was a dictator at that point in time. The players association did not wield the power it does now. David Stern was the lone voice in the room, the loudest voice and everybody else had to kind of bow down to it. And I don’t think Silver has that kind of power and it’s probably for the best. At the same time, I imagine that the players association is wondering how this affects Rosier. But I I honestly think like that’s something that could come later on just from a management perspective like whether Terry plays again and I think that would be the central issue that the players association would be determined like he should be getting paid doesn’t care if he’s trade eligible all their players are trade eligible >> right they don’t care if Charlotte gets penalized to pick if Miami gets awarded their pick none of that matters >> so I I understand the idea that he’s kind of hemming and hawing because he has to get all these different dissenting opinions in order but at the very least start working towards some kind of clarity. It’s been going on for two months at least that we know that he’s been at this point and it’s been going on for well beyond that. Like >> yeah, >> they did an investigation years ago >> and at some point you should have be like, “Hey, you know what? >> This might kind of hit the fan at some point down the road and everyone’s in a room going totally cool. Don’t worry about it.” >> The only thing the NBA has done this entire time has been making it worse for the Heat. It started by not telling them about the federal investigation that they knew about at the time of the trade. And then it got worse when the federal investigation came out. They said, “Oh, now this player can’t play for you and you can’t trade his salary.” All they’ve done this entire time is actually make it worse. The Heat would be better off right now with Tay Rosier playing as poorly as he played last year, but at least being able to get benched and be traded and doing all these things. They were in a better situation then than they are now. And that’s what’s pretty crazy. So, what do we think will actually happen? I’m not sure Heat fans will be happy with how I think this is going to end up. Uh, we’ll get uh David’s opinion on this, too. All of that is coming up next. Here’s how I think this is going to uh work out and how I think everything gets settled here. >> I think the Heat will be able to trade Terry Rosier. I think they’re going to get either official or unofficial word from the league office. I think the Heat believe that if they were to trade Pier Rosier, and I think they believe this now, if they were to agree on a trade that sent Rosier somewhere else, at this point, the league would accept it. And let’s be clear when I say trade to Rosier, they don’t actually like Rosier doesn’t ever even move. They’re we’re talking about not trading the player. We’re talking about trading the contract, which for some team would have value, right? Like as an expiring contract, there are teams around there that say, you know what, we’re going to get off some long-term money and whatever deal this is, we’ll go ahead and take on the Terrosir expiring salary, wave him, uh, and then move on. So, I do think that they will be able to trade Tay Rosier. I don’t know that they will, but I think they will be able to. I don’t think they’re going to get draft pick compensation back. >> Uh I don’t think that the league will reverse the 2027 pick owed to Charlotte. I don’t think the league necessarily wants to get into compensatory picks, although that is being talked about a lot here locally um >> about hey would the and there is a precedent, right? The the the NBA has awarded teams compensatory picks in the past. I just don’t know that that’s where the league wants to go with this uh for a lot of different reasons that maybe we don’t have to get into now. But there that that’s maybe a precedent that they don’t want to set in regards to gambling issues. Um I do think that this is going to start a conversation about potential exceptions. Not necessarily for gambling because again that would be a bad look to have like a player arrested for gambling exception on like the books of the NBA. Um, >> but something like a general exception for unforeseen things like this, I could see maybe having that because you have injury exceptions, right? Like we just saw the Chicago Bulls get an injury exception awarded to them for Noah Asen missing the rest of the season. Why would why should that exist where you don’t really have an exception for this, which is basically the same thing where a player is for some reason unable to play for you for the rest of the year. If you’re injured, you get an exception for it. if you’re part of a federal investigation, you’re still away from the team, but the team doesn’t get any sort of uh salary cap relief for it. And I think that’s probably wrong. And I think the league should start having some conversations about sort of a general force majour type of exception that’s out there that the league can then distribute on its own um without having to kind of jump through a bunch of hoops because it again just sort of exists on the books. That’s that’s why I think this ends up and I don’t think that Heat fans would be happy about that or I’ll ask you should Heat fans be happy with that if they are able to trade Tay Rosier and there’s zero draft compensation and then this becomes sort of the start point for bigger conversations about how can teams be how can teams reconcile when when a player >> is in a situation like Ter Rosier is in right now? >> Absolutely not. that is as um that doesn’t feel like it it answers any or addresses any of the concerns. Like I understand that Terry might not have been playing particularly well and who knows how much of a factor these ongoing investigations may have played in his behavior or the way he kind of was dealing with things. We heard in the offseason that he had had a great off season working his way and you and I both thought that he was probably going to be some kind of a rotational player to what degree we had no idea. So to see that, you know, Miami is basically just going to be allowed to trade that contract, that that’s the bare minimum. And I mean that. I really do. I do think that that’s the very least that they could do is to allow you a player that they should never have allowed to be traded to in the first place be allowed to be moved. And for what? Like >> would he would that contract even benefit Miami in any way? like what team is willing to take on that contract knowing that everything is still going to be unresolved? Like there might be some compensation. There might be something. I don’t know. I I’m I’m >> struggling to get off of a long-term contract, right? If you’re a team >> like the Clippers or the Sacramento Kings, I don’t I haven’t like I’m just naming a team that has >> imagine >> just say, “Hey, look, we we kind of stink. This core doesn’t work anymore. We’re we’re trying to create some cap space going forward. We get Rosier’s contract. wave them and then we just have all this we have we can create $26 million in cap space for next year. That’s that’s really to your point David the only you’re not trading for Terry Rosier the player. >> No, I get that. But that I think then again to to my point earlier then I think that’s where the players associate comes in because that’s where oh you’re going to wave a player that never had the opportunity to play because of these kind of ridiculous circumstances or circumstances that were never clearly defined by the league and everything else like that. And I think that’s where they get involved a little bit more heavily >> because they want to ensure, you know, that their player has the opportunity to showcase what skills he has because he’s basically dead in the water. If he gets waved by whatever team does is willing to take on that contract, >> he’ll never play in the NBA again because there’s just too much. >> We already might be there already. >> Oh, no doubt. >> If you asked me, do you think Terry Rosier will ever play another NBA game? I would say no. I don’t I don’t think he will. >> 100%. And I agree with that. And I think the association would want to be a little bit more active in taking care of a player uh an active player that you know was still a viable >> and was cleared by the NBA in their own investigation. So >> that’s that’s a big part of it >> quote unquote investigation. Um >> I’m with you. I I think that is literally the bare minimum to allow the Heat to trade a player on their books. Again, just allowing the Heat to do with their player what every organization is allowed to do with every player in the league is the bare minimum o of any sort of thing here. One other idea I had was the the Heat. First of all, they need some sort of resolution before January 7th really because Terier’s contract becomes fully guaranteed on January 10th and we’re talking about $1.7 million. So, it’s not a lot, but with that $1.7 million, the Heat could, had they, by the way, had access to that $1.7 million of non-g guaranteed money right now. They would have been already signed a player at the beginning of the year. They can now currently sign a player to a pro-rated minimum. But what if the league were to just say, you know what, we’re going to give you a $1.7 million exception or or in cap relief or whatever it looks like, so that now you can go out and sign a player to a pro rate minimum. And if you if the Heat actually had money that access now, they could sign two players to a pro-rated minimum. >> So if Terry Rosier were off the books and the Heat were on 13 standard roster spots as opposed to 14, then they would have two spots to fill. >> So giving them that $1.7 million would allow them to fill those two spots or offer a potential free agent more than the minimum, >> right? You offer that to one player and that makes you more viable in the buyout market and things like that. So, that could be an idea there. But that’s the other thing. If I’m the Heat, I’m saying I would like to know before January 7th if Terry Rosier is going to be a part of this team or if we’re going to be able to trade this guy because if he’s on the roster, his contract becomes fully guaranteed at that point. And now you’re have to pay this guy obstensibly more money. Even though all his money right now is going to escrow, but it’s counting against the cap right now, >> right? >> And you have limited flexibility. And by the way, you’re not allowed to wave him right now. If the Heat are not allowed to wave him before January 7th, like the NBA has to have something done by then. Uh or else the Heat gets screwed again where the only thing that’s been happening here is the NBA has made this only worse for the Heat, not in any way better. And there’s a chance that they can continue to make it worse before they make it better. So, we’ll see what happens. Um we do have the latest on Tyler Herro and Nikolovic’s injuries. So, the Heat won’t have Tyler Hiro or Nicola Yoic for Thursday night’s game in Brooklyn. They’ve already been ruled out for that game. The good news is that Nico estimates that he’s going to miss uh at least a week with an elbow injury. We already discussed the fact that the MRI came back negative. Considering how that looked uh at the time, David, this is is good news. We’re talking about weeks now. Uh they’re the Heat are officially calling him dayto day. Yovic says he’s probably going to miss at least a week, but again, good news considering that that looked like season ending. >> Yeah, absolutely. Um I’m glad for him. Hopefully, look, uh you know, he’s already been struggling this season with enough. He’s trying to figure out his place here, but hopefully he can >> get to that point where he can come back from injury and and continue to build something and and salvage this season to a degree for him sake, for his sake, but also for the Miami as well. For the team, they need something out of Nico. They just haven’t been able to get that. So right now, um, luckily for him, the injury wasn’t as severe, and you just wish him a speedy recovery. >> Uh, so that’s good news, bad news. Bad news here. Tyler Herro said that he expects his latest, uh, toe injury absence to be quote, “very short-term, and he is traveling with the team to Brooklyn.” Sounds like good news, right? Uh, well, I don’t love the sound of everything else he said uh to reporters after practice. He said that he’s dealing with pain and swelling and that he should never have practiced in the days leading up to being a late scratch right before that Toronto game in the first place. So, he’s expressing regret there. Don’t love that. He said, quote, “That kind of sparked things back up. I want to try to get control of it and I can play through the pain.” That sounds like to me a setback. Um, nobody’s using that word, but that’s just what that sounds like. I’m hoping he doesn’t have to miss much time. But I think more importantly here, I just hope that he gets right and fully 100% right so that this doesn’t stay a lingering issue all season long. These toe injuries, man, these these are the kinds of things that can linger. Look at what’s going on with Darius Garland this year. It’s the same thing. Um you just you want to get this completely right and uh I think that has to be the priority for Tyler Hero in the Heat right now. >> Absolutely. Um I I’ve thought about this. Do you think maybe he rushed back too soon? >> Yes. Yeah, I’ve considered it. I I I think, you know, there was a lot of buzz about how good this team was playing and, you know, Tyler’s role in it. I think we questioned it and we thought he was going to be able to jump in there pretty quickly and be able to acclimate to the offense and everything else. And you wonder whether or not he was kind of feeling any sort of pressure to make sure he came back and and remind everybody how impactful and how good he is. And maybe it was just too soon, especially at a point. other part of it was uh >> that was exactly 17 games that he missed. >> Oh. For postseason consideration, >> the 65 game rule. >> Oh, wow. >> Maybe it’s a complete coincidence. He was also had he also had that date circled for a long time. Uh he also told us in at media day that that’s around when he wanted to come back. >> Yeah. If he made all NBA this year, he would have been eligible for a a larger max contract. Now, whether he ever whether he’s going to make all NBA was probably a long shot in the first place, but >> sure, >> there’s a lot of players limited by the 65game limit. Chances are that Giannis and Luca won’t even be eligible. LeBron’s probably not might not be eligible for the 65 game. Spots open up, in other words, and Taliro was closer than I think people think to potentially making all NBA last year. Um, so you you at least if you were title hero, you at least wanted to keep that option open, but that’s already been gone. But yeah, I think, you know, he missed exactly 17 games. Uh, I don’t I again I I don’t not trying to report anything here, >> right? >> I don’t know that that’s exactly right, but it’s a heck of a coincidence also. >> No doubt. Yeah. I it it should I think a lot of players do take that into consideration. I mean, they have to and that’s >> it’s a lot of money, right? Like that’s a lot of money that you’re >> Yeah, man. That’s it’s that’s your job, dude. Like, yeah, for the record, I’m not disparaging Tallah at all. It’s your job at the end of the day. This is your job. Your job is to make money and to maximize how much money you can make if you can get back. And he looked like he scored 24 points and and won the game for the Heat in the fourth quarter against Dallas when he came back. Like, let’s not act like he came back and he was hobbled. He came back and looked way better than Darius Garland has looked at any point this season. So, look, did he rush back? Maybe, but it’s not like he was playing poorly, but to what Tyler Hiro said, it did kind of spark things back up to use his language there. Um, so we’ll see what happens. He says it’s short-term. Like I said, you and I agree. More importantly, you’ve already been ruled out for postseason awards. That part’s done. Just get right. Just get right, dude. Uh, they need them, right? They’re not playing super well right now, but they need them longer term more than they need them even in this short-term little swoon that they’re having. Quick uh preview of tonight’s game in Brooklyn. Um David, when I look at the key to win this game, I look at Brooklyn taking the fifth most threes in the league and making the sixth most threes in the league. And Michael Porter Jr. is a big part of that. The Brooklyn Nets are not good. >> They’re six and three when Michael Porter Jr. scores 30 or more points. They’re one and 11 when he scores less than 30. >> So that’s it. >> That’s a concern. Yeah, that’s it. >> Uh look, we’ve talked about Miami’s offense and I think a lot of people are focused on that with good reason and that seems where the the drop off has been most glaring, but uh this also feels like the the kind of game that if they’re not on point defensively, a team like Brooklyn has nothing to play for really. uh they can go off at home and Miami could wind up kind of continuing to to reel here a little bit because we’ve talked about the the intangibles, the the idea that they’ve lost their identity a little bit, that they’re not playing well. You’ve talked about a lot of different things that they’re not doing well on the court, whether it’s drives at the rim or hitting from the perimeter. All those things are kind of going to build up. You don’t want this to snowball. This is an opportunity for Miami, and I talked about this last time. you know, they they have something here, an inflection point in the season potentially where they can still salvage things. They can still turn things around and start building back towards what we saw or at least a combination of what we saw earlier with this new team moving forward, whatever that might look like. But to continue to spiral is going to be such a huge blow for this team that looks so good and and so I don’t know they they just looked like they were on a on the same page and and working towards something bigger and better and now I think they’ve lost that a little bit. So this this game represents something huge. I there’s >> what do we call it? A must a mustwin. >> Yeah must win. Yeah. Yeah. Not a must win, but you really really ought to. >> You really you really really ought to win it. Uh Brooklyn’s also 28th in turnovers per 100 possessions. They’re 26th in transition defense. That’s what represents Miami’s best chance to uh to win this game. So to me, I look at this, it comes down to this. Get more possessions by forcing turnovers, contest their threes, and hope Michael Porter Jr. doesn’t get caught. And uh and that’s your uh that’s your key to win. Um this is what we call a get right game. You better go get right. That’ll do it for us today. Thanks for tuning in today to Locked on Heat. Miami Heat fans reel as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s comments on the Terry Rozier federal investigation spark fresh outrage—will the league ever make things right?
Wes Goldberg and David Ramil dissect Silver’s “no obvious solution” stance, outlining how the league’s handling has left the Heat hamstrung with Rozier sidelined and his $26 million salary limiting roster flexibility. Is draft pick compensation or a trade even possible, and how should the NBA respond to unprecedented gambling scandals impacting player movement?
The hosts break down potential trade and exception scenarios, touching on the impact for Terry Rozier’s career, the role of the Players Association, and what Heat management should demand before critical deadlines. The latest on Tyler Herro and Nikola Jovic’s injuries provides mixed news, while eyes turn to Miami’s must-win matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Can the Heat salvage their season, or is frustration set to boil over before the NBA trade deadline?

Heat trainers let Herro play
This is a bad look for Silver….perhaps his time is up, NBA needs new leadership !!!!!
One thing is true he seems to be consistently anti Miami , maybe that is the league's untold policy
Local heat media very good at blaming others for the heat front office errors: to suggest that the league knew about a federal investigation and the heat didn’t is idiotic. Having someone investigated by the league and cleared should have been a red flag..just like players get injured in college should be a red flag against signing (Zion) Or someone having a degenerative knee condition (Embiid) should be a red flag against extending… but front offices do these stupid things every year…and the heat front office is no exception.
imagine if this was Lakers instead of Heat Adam Silver needs to go
Silence is Golden Silver is tarnished.
Adam Silver and the nba doesn’t give a damn about the Heat or their fans. He said cry about it, and fans are crying
Adam Silver said he hasn't been convicted yet so he is innocent until proven guilty so then why suspended him? Let him play in that case but if you don't let him play then you need to give us relief
I've been hearing rumblings for years that Silver hates the Arisons because they're black caps. and second, it's Pat Riley. The FBI should investigate that entire NBA front office because they are getting something other than gambling revenue from this.
Wes is spot on, if NBA won't give the Heat any relief then let us at least play Terry and possibly build up his trade value. We got scammed in the trade and now we getting bullied to just shut up and be quiet about having a player we can't do anything with
It's understandable coming from a weak 👽 face . The Miami Heat is not and has never been a nba liked organization.
David, I can not listen to you read adds anymore. I'm done with your channel
Silver gave the most bs political answer I’ve ever heard by an NBA commissioner. Your league knew about the charges, you still let the Heat make the trade. Yea, Terry is saying he is not guilty, and you league suspends him! Oh yea and the Heat are still paying him while loosing a first round draft pick. Meanwhile all these NBA casters on the NBA are praising him for a job well done on the league! Bro get out of here. Honestly one of the worst commissioners.
I wonder if this would’ve happen this was the precious Knicks or LA Lakers!
Get his ass outta here! Because Adam Silver suspended a man who has NOT been found guilty! But Miami is paying for it. I’m done with Silver
The FBI have to investigate Silver !
If I’m the Heat GM I call Rozier and play Him. Under the Silvers Rules is Ok.
remember you guys where the ones saying trade Lowry trade Lowry… so not only did you mess up the books when you could of had a pass first pg for a vet minimum and kept your pick you traded for someone who was no value to the team smh and are now stuck with him.
They don't want the Miami Heat winning another championship anytime soon. It's most definitely obvious and true. If it was a terrible team, they would at least let him be tradable. They probably don't feel like investigating the Charlotte Hornets. This shows their control of the League.
