Bought this as a Christmas present to myself in 2022. It’s been hanging in my office on the north side of my house, with zero direct sunlight at any point.
The first photo shows how it looks today. The next two are from about a year ago. As you can see, Nate’s signature (located under NAK’s feet) has completely disappeared, and Val’s, EJ’s, and Sturm’s signatures are clearly fading as well.
I contacted Fanatics about this last year, and their response was: Thank you for reaching out. We do apologize for the issue you are having. Autographs do fade over time. Unfortunately, there is no way to restore faded ink to its original state. We would not offer any sort of replacement for an issue as such.
Pretty disappointing, to say the least. Just sharing this for anyone who’s on the fence about splurging on an autographed item from Fanatics.

Good to know. I won’t buy any of their products with autographs. Thanks for sharing
If you’re in or near the Denver area there’s a shop you can get authenticated signed photos. My friend got me a signed Landy photo from the cup run. No issues with the autograph fading
Some of this could be what pen they used, if it was a standard sharpie or if it was archival quality ink. Sharpie fades over time, even if perfectly cared for. Museum quality UV-protecting glass also makes a huge difference, and Fanatics doesn’t offer that on their framed pieces. I’m so sorry that you had to deal with this, it’s an amazing piece of history that I’m sure was not inexpensive. Such a bummer.
Is there a reason why it would fade? Is it in direct sunlight often and the frame it comes with doesn’t have UV protection?
fuck fanatics and sometimes autographs fad in any kind of sunlight not just direct
I do feel for you, but the important thing is that you have the memory if when you got to meet and chat with them while they signed it for you. Autographs fade, but all they really are is the tangible proof of your interaction with them, so your memories are still there
Out of curiosity how much did it cost?
