Minor league deal, I doubt we see these guys in the majors again unless the bullpen is seriously taxed.
If you every were in the Blue Jays 2010-2018 or Braves 2018-2020 system, you will always have a contract waiting for you with Perry:
Ynoa
Romano
Thor
Tucker Davidson
Pillar
Drury
Lamb
Grichuk
Urshela
Petricka
D’Arnaud
Suzuki
Ian Anderson
Jansen
Webb
Touki
Cimber
Dominic Leone
Loup
Tepera
Like it’s actually amazing how many players Perry takes on from his prior orgs…
Quick look at their profiles didn’t yield much info. Mainly cause there isn’t much to look at. Pitch models don’t care much for their stuff except for Perdomo’s changeup, but he doesn’t even throw it much. Mostly nothing burgers, though i suppose I’d bet on Perdomo having a better chance of doing something.
I think a lot of people are forgetting that reclamation projects are integral to building a team and a system. The issue isn’t that we do them, its when its essentially ALL we do because we are going to have a hard time signing higher profile players.
Signing projects can turn into steals, or trade deadline value. It’s actually been a strength of ours comparatively.
Our overall system and roster building is just poor lol.
I like to think Maddux is looking deeply at these pitching projects and is greenlighting only the one he thinks he can work with to improve.
Welcome back Angels legend Angel Perdomo.
> March 17, 2025: Purchased by the Los Angeles Angels from the Atlanta Braves.
> March 30, 2025: Selected off waivers by the Athletics from the Los Angeles Angels.
